Winner winner chicken dinner. Large venue with mix of macro brew and craft beer taps on rotation. Pokies galore if you enjoy losing money over the long term for the chance to win occasionally.

Whether u want to just sit and have a chat with your mates ir play a game iof pool its anice pkace to catch up with mates or. Adate staff ate friendly os just a real nice place

When ever I walk in to the AB i am always greeted with a friendly smile. The bar staff are always engaging and the Beer is always cold. The food here is such great value too. Especially the lunch specials and the Pho is to die for. Couldn't recommend the AB highly enough.

This delightful little pub sequestered in charming Glebe was the highlight of my afternoon! The leafy bistro area was a welcome surprise following my initial impression of the tired exterior.
Following a staff recommendation, I settled on the fish tacos, and I was not disappointed! The deliciously zingy sauce cut through the buttery flavour of the fried fish, with the side of fries faultless in their pub style preparation.
The staff’s warm and proactive service was casually delivered without the overbearing hovering you can sometimes encounter - which I deeply appreciated after a long flight!

The original 'Ancient Briton' of Glebe has been revamped into a world class hotel but has managed to retain its 'Aussie Pub' charm. Perhaps I'm biased (it's my local) but it's the best pub in Sydney.

The food is the only reason to come here. Authentic Asian flavours at a great price. The service is friendly enough but ‘pub’ atmosphere is definitely lacking. Looks like the new owners are renovating though - so we look forward to what the future holds!

The decor is nice though becoming a little out dated. I've had a few steaks here and they were nice. But I agree with other reviewers that the food is definitely overpriced. I'm rating this place 2 stars because on numerous occasions (at least 10) I would stand waiting for 5 mins or more before anyone served me at the bar or in the bottle shop. On the plus side, I do like the extensive selection of beer on tap.

The bottle shop is expensive!! Bottle of wine advertised for $18.99 but at the register was $24.99. Cashier checked sign then said he can’t do anything about it and he is the “manager”. Left without the wine but googled what it normally cost and only $13 at other bottle shops.

The atmosphere and beers are great. But the food is not good for the price. Inadequate customer service. Ordered a Chai latte which was said to be a pot serving two on the menu, but I got one glass with powdered chai but they still charged the $6.80 tea pot price? And I went to the bar to pay told them where I was sitting, but the staff refused to take it to the table and left it on the bar for me to take myself. Not a huge deal but it made a less than pleasant experience.

Oh my.. Came to the AB hearing of its reputation for great food. Found out the usual chef was away. Still the beer was cold and surprisingly delicious. The food...... I ordered the staple chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. What I got was processed box chicken from Coles with bag lettuce and shoe string fries. Very disappointed 😞 only the beer and the bar staff rescued this rating from a 2 star experience...

Nice pub, but staff should be ashamed of themselves. I heard a job interview where the employer told her to “You better go back to your own country because your English is not good” She was also not born in Australia judging by her accent too. I will never go back and will be telling my friends to never go back. I should of said something, but just walked out.

Nice little pub, food is pretty nice but takes a while to come out.
Plenty of beers on tap aswell.

I only came here to try their laksa and, although it wasn't bad as such, it didn't taste good, in fact it had no flavour at all. I also asked for sambal to be added, but it was all to no avail. There was a vague creaminess to the soup, sort of. The noodles had the texture as if they'd been boiling for days. The Combination laksa didn't include ANY vegetables at all. Overall a very disappointing effort.

I like the casual beer garden out the back! Haven't tried any of the food yet but I'm super keen on the laksa as they're touting it as the best trip to Malaysia without leaving town!
The ladies toilets, however, are usually in a bit of a state but if you don't go to the pub to drink beer in the toilets, then you'll be fine. Ha!

Honestly 3.6 star is too low, I had really great service, plus their kitchen has reopened two months ago and is really good with a Thai influence. Dog friendly and kids friendly was really convenient.

Grotty little dump. I've had drinks in worse places, but this is somewhere I'll actively avoid. It got a second star because it's dog-friendly and had a couple of decent beers on tap

Great venue, good beer garden and selection of beers. Will always have fond memories of this place. It's where I found out my wife was pregnant with my son Bradley. I'll have to bring him back there one day and have a beer with him, I'll also take him to the Toxeth hotel up the road.

Great pub, Sad to see one of the last old pubs go and become reborn, but it's been done really well. Food's good and well priced, fabulous fish tank bar at the top, and had ping pong tables last time we visited. Only drawback has been the slowness of the bar staff, who seem to lack a sense of urgency when there's people waiting. But apart from that a very nice and cosy pub. Would recommend a visit.

Good rotating selection of crafts here.
Often have the more unusual Little Creatures small batches.
Outdoor area is ok, if it's not busy the kids can play a bit, but there are better places for them.

Good food at reasonable prices, specials are really good value. The Thai Green Curry is damn good can't go past it for a tenner or $8 at lunch dumplings are quality too. Big range of beers on tap, not as cheap as it's appearance might suggest tho. It's rustic local but the staff in my experience are great and always make you feel welcome. Can get busy especially on big UFC fight days but it's never uncomfortably packed and there's plenty of screens around. Bottle shop is pricey would advise going elsewhere for takeout.

Dine-in. Price is actually very good and portion is generous. Otherwise the pub itself, I couldn’t find any character. Would like to recommend to local.

Delicious food, generous portion sizes. Chill pub atmosphere. Would highly recommend the Laksa and satay chicken skewers.

Decent place for a casual beer and watching sports, they have a TAB. The menu is varied and the food is decent, love their chicken wings.
The front bar is cash only, which is a bit painful at times. Beers aren't cheap but there is a good variety

Cosy place with a relaxed vibe. Not super busy on a Saturday night. Some good local beers on tap. Easy place to meet and chat. Comfy couches in the front bar.

Cash only. Good range of cold tap beers. Jugs available. Taped cover music reasonable quality. Staff experience different from that mentioned in reviews - try and judge for yourself. We were there Sunday lunch
