Visited for ANZAC Day and enjoyed live music and fresh food in the Beer Garden 🍋🟩

This place is still trading. It was reported last year that the hotel would be demolished. Staff reckon the hotel will be open to possibly September 2023. The pub has a good atmosphere. Good food. Friendly staff. Some parking on-site. I’ve only visited at lunchtime. But it looks like the hotel trades late with plenty of music. I’ve also visited here on a weekend afternoon and caught some live music sessions. There are TAB and Keno facilities here.

The food was good. The Sunday two piece band was good. I liked the songs. The hospitality was great.

The food here is a complete rip off. The $20 Mediterranean bowl is pathetic; a scoop of hummus, a cup of plain white rice, two cherry tomatoes, and some sweet potato crisps from a bag. Avoid.

The Albion is a dog lovers oasis in the desert that is Parramatta venues. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor area 12 till 8pm daily and you hardly need to sit down before a friendly staff member has delivered a bowl of water for your dog.
Beer selection is a good mix of classics and what appears to be a few rotating taps of more boutique options. Menue includes a range of cocktails, and friendly bar staff are happy to answer your questions and make recommendations.
Food is reasonable prices and dishes have a heavy mediterranean influence, options for GF, Veg and other dietary requirements.
The real test of a pub is the schnitty, these guys have one slightly on the pricey at $25 but definitely a quality product, moist on the inside, crispy crumbly on the outside; chips which came out fresh and crispy, not too heavily salted, choices of sauces, I went the pepper gravy, came out in a smallish tub, probably a little too small for the amount of chicken and chips on the plate.
They have misting jets set up to help cool the beer garden on a hot day.
Overall a reasonable place for a few beverages on a warm afternoon but definitely the place to be if you have a fur baby!

Subject: Incident Report - Discrimination and Refusal of Entry
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to report a disturbing incident that occurred at Albion Club in Parramatta on 19/04/24 at approximately 7:30 PM. I would like to bring to your attention the discriminatory treatment I experienced, as well as the refusal of entry, despite providing my disability card as evidence.
My name is Jason Campbell, and I am a person with visual and muscular disabilities. On the aforementioned date and time, I arrived at the Albion Club with my friends, aiming to enjoy an evening out. Upon approaching the security personnel at the entrance, they immediately assumed that I was intoxicated and denied me entry without proper assessment or consideration of my disabilities.
Realizing the misunderstanding, I requested to speak with the manager to clarify the situation. I presented my disability card as proof, hoping to provide a better understanding of my condition and dispel any misconceptions. Unfortunately, the manager not only disregarded my disability card but also dismissed my explanations without giving me a chance to verify my claims. This refusal to accommodate my disability needs and the subsequent humiliation in front of my friends was deeply distressing.
I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate this incident and review the video surveillance footage from that evening. The footage will provide irrefutable evidence of the discriminatory treatment and my earnest attempts to clarify the situation. I believe this will shed light on the unprofessional conduct displayed by the security personnel and managerial staff.
I trust that Albion Club is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all individuals, including those with disabilities. I hope that following this investigation, appropriate actions will be taken to rectify this situation, such as training staff on disability awareness and implementing measures to prevent future acts of discrimination.
I remain hopeful that Albion Club will take this matter seriously and extend a sincere apology for the distress caused to myself and my friends. Additionally, I request that the necessary corrective measures are implemented to prevent any recurrence of such discriminatory incidents.
Please acknowledge receipt of this incident report at your earliest convenience. I eagerly await your response and hope for a prompt resolution to this matter.

So I visited again and while the ambience was definitely great, the service not so much. If you're going to close the kitchen then instead of switching the plates with takeaway boxes after its served, you can serve the food in the takeaway boxes to start with. It was really awkward for us trying to move food from one plate to another.

Really nice pub. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good. I ordered the cheese burger which was very nice. I’d definitely recommend the Albion Hotel

Quiet wed night dinner, twice cooked BBQ chicken was great! Slightly unbalanced dressing, but the spiced chicken and kale salad was delicious. Loaded burger left a little to be desired (well, more just remove the taste of the chargrill that needed a bit of a clean) but otherwise great lil pub.

Overpriced food and terrible tasting drinks. Sticky floors. Luckily there were good people. Cheap yet overpriced alcohol made me think I know what petrol would be like to drink. Girl doesn't know Ròse should not be orange. Adamant I was wrong. Easier to just leave the drink rather than argue with ignorant. Hopefully this place will be knocked down soon.

Overall, a great place to eat and have a beverage. The menu has traditional pub classics like schnitzel and burgers, as well as salads for the carb conscious. I had the crispy skin salmon and it was amazing! I'd definitely recommend it. My partner had the schnitzel. It was great too; crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You could have it without any sauce, but the gravy was great. The meals came quickly and the staff were super friendly and very attentive. The beer garden has a great atmosphere and the heaters keep it warm when it's cold outside. They have pool tables and a pinball machine in the inside bar. The security is pretty intense, but I suppose it has to be if you're trying to keep the place safe. The security guards are very polite and willing to answer questions about the protocols they have in place. Great spot.

Ordered drinks through your QR code menu. Was on a quiet Thursday night. Has about 10 drinks so we knew it would take a while to come. But 30 minutes later, the bartender with the nose ring had an attitude when he gave the drinks to us. Telling us he’s not going to make anymore drinks if we order off the QR code for the rest of the night. Then walked right off.

My experience today was great for my business meeting at lunch ,also found the young fellow behind the bar well mannered & doing a great job.

I went to Albion Fridays recently. I've read about this problem in reviews and I've personally dealt with it. The clients' treatment by the security personnel, who act like thugs, is the problem. I've read a lot of reviews here about security guards' actions, so it's really unprofessional and concerning that the management did not take this seriously. They act as like they are the owners of this town, treating everyone with no regard or decency.
I hope they take my feedback seriously and work towards improving the attitude and behavior of their guards towards customers. It's always important for everyone to feel safe and respected during their visit.

I love the lunch atmosphere!!! Great service, lovely staff at bar & kitchen. Very happy overall my partner and I come here often. Stake cooked well 8/10

I have been Albion a few times. Nice spot for the local area. Forgot to take photos. If you’re in Parramatta and want to visit a bar that has an outdoor and indoor area that has dancing later into the night it’s a good option

I hadn't had a night out for years it was a great night out with my Daughter and we meet some nice people and I would like to say thankyou to my daughter Natalie for giving me a awesome night Albion is a great place and plays good music .

I came here as it’s dog friendly. The staff were lovely and helpful at first.
My steak wasn’t rare as asked but more medium, despite having gravy on the menu with other food, you couldn’t have it with this meal
I ordered a mocktail paid $12 and it was about 5 sips them a glass filled with ice to the top that you couldn’t even finish it. When I went up to complain about the cost and how much drink was actually in the glass their excuse was that it’s a cocktail and it’s a guess of how much to put in so fill up with ice. Are used to work at a club in the cocktail bar and you measure everything out and don’t top it up with ice. I got a bit of lemonade as to fix it. So a total rip off
The thing going is it’s dog friendly and the staff brought my dog a container of water over and were helpful

I attended the venue on a Tuesday night and the security asked me if I wanted to fight him. I’m a 6’8” and fairly well built, I was a pro athlete. I’m now 50. We did as he requested to avoid any aggression. My friends and I attempted to ignore the fool but he refused my friend drinks after that point. I was then invited on the Friday night to attend a work function with 70 colleagues . The same person inappropriately grabbed my behind and the gestured me to his area. I refused and he then came towards me. I asked if he had a problem with me, he said no and that he had my back and walked away, I had no idea what he meant. I then sat with my friends for some time before being approached by another security person who said he would like to talk to me about my steal capped boots. I informed him that my feet which were not in plane sight but well hidden by the table were not steal capped. After he felt my toes he left. My friends and I enjoyed another drink and I needed to go to the bathroom after 3 beers. I was concerned I would not be allowed to return to my friends and voiced my concern to my friends before I left. Surely enough I was asked to leave on my rerurn to my table of friends because I had to much to drink. This was a racial attack on a tall white Caucasian male who was trying to enjoy an enjoyable evening with friends. The Lebanese male working in security had clearly manipulated the poor simple islander male that was extremely over weight to carry out his instruction. I eventually agreed to leave with an older security person who was personable, more then I can say about the other security or the manager on the Achilles scooter that evening. She was nothing but offensive and should never be a representative for a business. The older personable security member stated, “not sure what happened but you seem absolutely fine to me, someone doesn’t like you”. I left the establishment peacefully but annoyed as my many friends also had to leave so we had to move to another location to enjoy our evening. My suggestion is to not attend this establishment if you are tall or Caucasian.

had a work event tuesday night and the service was incredible! the ambiance and vibes were perfect and everyone had an amazing time! special shout out to the bartender val who was so lovely, quick with drinks and had amazing customer service, so professional, absolutely loved it!

Great place to dine n local aswell the price is decent friendly environment great services in foods n drinks ❤️today I had the worst lunch it was raw from the steak to a burger that me n my partner order it was disgusting on our special day I think they change chef

Great bar, excellent negroni, beautiful beer garden and it's dog-friendly. A lady camr up to us with a dog bowl and 3 dog toys! Gave Albion 4 stars due to the food being a bit hit and miss.

Gotta love the Albion Hotel. The $20 200g rump steak special for lunch is great value and was perfectly matched with a 4 Pines, Big Mood Bru. Service was good, but I did get in trouble for not taking a table number. I did mention that I never got given one! but that didn't seem to matter. Gotta laugh. Enjoy

Friday night pub feed for dinner. First try of the newer menu - we prefer the last menu over this one.
Live music is always great in particular when dining. Bistro staff were all friendly.

A nice place to spend your evening when in Parramatta. Yummy food and drinks! It does have good music. Best days to visit Friday n Saturday evenings.

Albion has a mix of covered and uncovered space, roomy enough to let one enjoy the atmosphere.
Food usually tastes very good and is priced well. People loved the pizza n fries that came by. Sweet potato fries would have been a great addition.

After visiting them 3 or 4 times I will always recommend places like MVP and bella vista hotel . The attitude of this employees unbelievable they way they speak and act like thugs using very bad language. I don’t need to talk about this security thugs the reviews says for themselves.
