We went there for a evening meal, we had booked a table for four. When we went to order our meals they told us there was no steaks at all no roasts. This was at 6pm. Due to a big lunch crowd, surely between 2pm and 6pm they could have organised some more steaks from a butcher seeing as they were booked out that night as well

this little pub in south launceston is lovely. the ambience of the bistro is 5 star quality as is the food served and the lovely staff. would def recommend, we will be back :) 5 star all the way :)

The lady that makes cocktails left by about 6pm (on a Saturday night!) and the bar guy was not allowed to make them as he does a bad job (apparently). I had a Parma which was really good, but my friends ordered steak and said it was pretty average. Nice enough, but nothing special on the pub front.

The best food and amazing staff!! They all treat my Grandma like she's part of the family, I know they will continue to look after her when I go back home to Qld. Cody is an absolute darling, he takes the time and effort with all the oldies and always brings a smile to their faces! Will miss having lunch with Grandma and the pavs the best I've ever had!!! 🥰

Stayed at the Big4 and after reading the reviews thought this was definitely the place to go for a meal. My wife and i both ordered the large beef snitzels ($21.50 each) and they were without doubt the smallest i have ever been served (about the size of my mobile phone). Queried the waiter who confirmed with the chef that they were the large and not the small. Paid the bill without fuss but won't be back

Really lovely lunch with my daughter both meals were very good and the service great. I ate every scrap which is so unusual for me.

My family has enjoyed every meal, from the Stir-fry to the Garlic Prawns or the good old Schnitzel. Plus..
Their chef uses Ice Berg lettuce in their salads, which is is big ++ from me. I don't like the packet stuff. 👍👍

I flew in to Launceston and went out to dinner here with some really good family friends. Not knowing what to expect from a small bistro, Wardeez, attached to the back of the this hotel.
Well, what can I say. The staff are very friendly, the menu is fairly standard for a bistro, but the chef has outdone himself with the preparation and serving of their dishes. Everything looked and tasted great.
The servings were on the large size, which is always good. The value for money is fantastic and even the desserts are delicious.
I would definitely recommend this place and I certainly know where I'll be going next time I fly in.

Have just been there for the first time, food and service were excellent, Cody our waiter was so very good and friendly 😊 it was a pleasure having him serve us,will definitely be back

Happened to stop for a drink and meal before an airport drop off, table of 3 loved all our meals, can see why it was busy. Really appreciated the knowledgeable and friendly bistro all-rounder looking after us.

Fabulous place for a coeliac! 100% gluten free schnitzel and chips and sooo good. Even yummy desserts…too good to pass up. Waiter was delightful and extremely helpful with my dietary requirements. Definitely go back!

Booked in with family for Mother's Day meal. Staff are wonderful and go out of their way to be helpful. Food for lunch was ok, nothing fantastic but nothing horrible either. Soup ( lukewarm but tasty) bread, broccoli & cauliflower in cheese sauce(watery sauce), roasted carrots, pumpkin and potatoes (very good) roast pork and lamb ( was good but never got to try crackle as people swarmed on it like locusts). Dessert bar was generous but nothing stood out (for me, I will say people on other table seemed happy enough). Not a bad place, but nothing to write home about. Would have liked to have ordered off the everyday menu but such is life.

Beautiful meals, option of small meals and regular which is fabulous and the young guy “Cody”that works the bistro is a breathe of fresh air so funny it’s uplifting he communicates with everyone .
