We walked past this place so we haven't actually been inside yet. We were doing the coastal walk, and passed this by. From the looks of things, it's very family friendly. There were groups of kids all ages: some practising hand stands, others shooting hoops.
It looks great.
When we move into this area, this might become a good place to come to for food and beverages

Very pleasant staff, particularly the woman at reception. Easy to park. Nice simple venue with lovely view of Altona sude of the bay. Food was nice. Tasty fish (using flathead) and chips and great rump steak, cooked exactly right.
Hope to visit again.

Today l decided as driving past ASC go and drop in, perhaps have lunch.
Greeted by very polite & friendly staff member Jerome in Bistro.
From then until leaving, Jerome was a gentleman & it showed he takes pride in his job.
All tables so clean. No need to ask for water, put on table as l arrived. Got to tell Jerome that l appreciated his pleasant manner in which he looked after patrons.
I asked if there is a good team spirit, the answer was pretty obvious. OH Yes!
My meal was a very tasty & a generous serve.
Everything was so nice.
I wish certain members of my family were still alive to bring to my local Altona Sports Club.
Appreciative local, who will spread the word & come back.

This place was good.... but it’s gone next level good now that they have Wooshka Coverband playing there.

Sue & Kathy are living legends in this place! The absolute foundations, amazing service like this can't be found anywhere in Australia.. maybe the world. Setting an example to all bar staff

Renovation complete. New catering. 2nd day they are open. Staff trying very hard. Place looks fresh. More open to the beach location. Meals have stepped up in price and quality.
Still Soooooo much potential with the location right on the beach.

Quite a popular social club with different activities using the place. I went sequence dancing. Bar or Bistro meals. Prices very good for food, good choice range and the meal was enjoyable. Staff friendly.

Nice place. I take my elderly mum there every month, to join her friend for lunches. The place are suitable for elderly, with accessibility facilities. The restaurant & staff are very nice, on a nice sunny day we can sit outside. Or book one of the table in conservatory, the whole restaurant has a very bright & open feel. The menu catered to all taste & price are reasonable.

My friends and I enjoyed a very nice meal there this evening....I have not been to this bistro for many years and am pleasantly surprised that the meals are quite tasty and freshly cooked. Will definitely be coming back soon...The only annoying bit was the music was on full blast and it was really hard to have a conversation hence the 4 star rating.

Monday seafood platter is brilliant and good value. Great staff. Seafood pasta is also great. Heaps of outdoor for kids to run

I went here for a private function. The room was good but the deck area was excellent. We had perfect weather that evening so hardly anyone stayed inside.
Only letdown was a grumpy staff member behind the bar.
The music room was packed.

I’ve been coming here for years & everything about this place is top notch. Where else could you see free fantastic music, get a great meal at a great price with wonderful views of the bay in a clean, family - friendly environment?
I cannot recommend this place more highly.

Its a great venue but need to work on the portion size of roast beef 2 deli shaved slices not good .... i think atleast 2 x 5mm thick slices be ok alota veggies no beef hope the feedback helps thanks

I rarely review but I feel that there’s been a couple of staff members at the sports club that have provided exceptional customer service to me and my team (we play pool there on a Wednesday) on such a consistent basis that I wanted them to be publicly recognised for what they do, it is a hospitality industry they work after all in and sadly I feel that can be overlooked too often. So thanks to the team at the sports club as a whole but particularly Donna, Cathy, gabby and Kobe always go over and above with their friendliness and service and as a business owner myself, I notice they’re always doing something which is what I look for in my staff. Keep up the good work ladies and thank you

I came to this lovely cafe on the beach of Altona, a few weeks ago during my weekend gallivanting ..
I was very impressed with the cosy, warm atmosphere of this sports club cafe. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish, chips & salad lunch, & the staff were very friendly!! I give this cafe a 5 star rating!! & I’ll definitely come back here again… cheers 😊👍❤️

Great welcoming atmosphere and a great band. I forgot to mention the free shuttle bus service. Saved me $40 which will gladly put back into this wonderful club! Just saying.

Great venue the best in the West offering plenty of drink and food options the tap beers icy cold and great the LIVE BAND thats regular there is the mighty COP THIS and packs out the dance floor from 9 pm till after midnite most Saturdays ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place with live music, beach view and kids play area. The best potato wedges ever but unfortunately the calamari salad was a let down, very bland.

Great place for functions ,friendly staff great menu , plenty of outdoor area to let kids burn off energy and the view of the city in the evening is awesome.

Food was fantastic, amazing atmosphere. Slightly older crowd as is to be expected. Function room has great view.

Don't usually write reviews but this deserves one! We live in Altona and are gutted that last night was only our 1st time visiting, amazing food, great staff and all the patrons were also incredibly friendly, this will be our new go too restaurant! 😁

Came here on Pizza and Ribs night and ordered the full rack of ribs.
Ribs were succulent, delicious and fell off the bone. Chips were well seasoned and salad was serviceable but overall good value for the price.
Washed it all down with a White Rabbit Dark Ale pint which is a cracking beer and a great addition to their tap list.
Overall nice experience with efficient and friendly staff. Look forward to coming back to one of their other specials nights and also will get a $5 membership to take advantage of all the discounts.

Attended a private function here, the food was good...nothing really bad but nothing out of the ordinary either. Nice views and location.
