Wow, I didn’t expect such a good quality steak for a Wednesday night special! 300 grams, cooked to perfection, so tender and delicious, served with lovely hot chips and a nice fresh salad, and just $22.95 for the meal. I wish I lived closer as I’d eat here every week. All the staff were really lovely too.

We dropped in for lunch while at the Redcliffe Markets today, and the burgers we got were magnificent! Huge size (compared to the boutique “burger bars”), tasty and they didn’t skimp on the filling! Plus - friendly service and decent prices!

We chose to celebrate a birthday at the Ambassador and were so happy we did. The staff bent over backward to ensure we had everything we needed From balloons on the table to friendly happy service and help with the cake. The staff made the night so pleasant. Thank you

Was a busy day, it didn't look too bad around there because of that. Food came out super quick. Staff may need to carry shirts to change, i work in hospitality too, but of the whole shirt is sweaty, may need a change.

There are so many people and nice mood with music.Served dishes seem to be almost a lot to eat alone. But the taste was normal.

The meal was good, well cooked, staff friendly just not cool enough for me as heat was too hot. Toilets need tidying up paintwork and new doors and bench tops also. Looks like they have been neglected for a long time. Some areas nice and plush in gaming room and red lounges are nice. Great specials on the specials board.

The Ambassador is the best hotel I’ve been to in ages. The staff are awesome in particular the venue Manger Angie. She is one of the best I have experienced. She has the best personality and customer service. Their food service is awesome as well

The Ambassador Hotel is our family’s favourite lunch spot. It is affordable, has lunch deals, friendly staff, great chefs and a nice selection. While also options for seating (if you are feeling like you might want to sit in a more secluded area there’s an area out the back you can sit aswell.) We always get a surf and turf (those garlic prawns are done puuurffectly well. Even the salad. I can honestly say I’ve never dived into a pub salad first, but the ambass actually makes their salad, it’s not something out of a bag. It’s real salad, chopped up capsicum, onion (worth eating) like they’ve actually gone to some effort for those of us who actually enjoy our salad. (THANK YOU) And their steaks 🥩 For a pub. Ohhhh their steaks are top notch. Honestly.. their chefs are great. Recently I went to a high class place ($60 a plate for steak) I thought to myself.. ‘I wish I was at the Ambass. Would’ve been better value for money and.. honestly. They cook it just how I like it.’ 👌

Solo visit to Redcliffe looking for a bar with good beer, Friday footy and a feed. Thought I’d try the Ambassador. I was in luck. My fave beer on tap (Tooheys - yeah, I know), a great table to watch Foxtel footy, and I ordered 300g rump. $25. Most pubs are over $40. It came out perfectly cooked with chips, sauce of choice and salad. A real surprise! Bonus was ordering a glass of red and the pro barman pours out the original bottle because he thought it was tainted and gives me fresh wine. What other pub does this? Highly recommended (sports bar).

So disappointed with the new menu for the ambass! This is our local and after tonight we are on the hunt for a new place after many years of amazing food and service. The food quality for the prices they are charging does not compare to what we were served tonight. It was not that busy and still had to wait almost 45 minutes for our meals. Shame on the new owners for removing homemade options from the menu and charging more for processed foods!

Me and my friend just visited for dinner. I got a dinner special pork cutlet. It was so bland and the small corner of the pork was undercooked, i returned and expected to have well cooked pork. After a while, my friend was about to finish his meal, i got my pork, it was undercooked still, it was pink and watery running after cutting in half. I left the place 30 seconds after that. The server was nice and very polite, 2 stars is for her. Chef should pay more attention to what they are cooking.

I had lunch here, good meals at a good price. Fish and chips (barramundi) was good value for money compared to local fish and chip shops that charge more.

Exceeded my expectations. Great value, nothing compromised. Friendly engaged staff, who don’t mind a joke and a bit of fun. Most welcoming. An excellent Tuesday bay experience, while enjoying the sunshine.

Definitely a good pub for a lunch meal. Cheap price for lots of good food and comfortable dining. Typically Aussie pub style atmosphere but decent tastes and lunch specials were senior prices but not senior size’s. Looking forward to returning for another visit

Came in for a quick coffee. When I ordered the lady behind the counter came across as pretty rude, telling me I have to have lite milk because that's all she had. When I asked her if there was WiFi she said yes. I then asked her if there was a password. When she told me I asked if it started with a Capital letter. She then proceeded to tell me that passwords are always lower case. Maybe she was tired, maybe just grumpy, but definitely wasn't made to feel welcome.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. The street was bustling with the local markets. Really enjoyed the Brookvale Union Ginger Beer on tap so stayed for a meal. Service with a smile. We changed tables for a better view when we sat down and staff had no problem. Started off with the Calamari which obviously had two batches served together. One cooked longer than the other. We appreciated the volume of what was served but would have preferred they were all cooked evenly and at the same temperature. Consistency is key with seafood. We tried two lunch favourites you'd find on any good pub menu. Surf n' Turn and Bangers n' Mash. Steak was decent and cooked to a perfect medium. Plenty of salad and chips on the side. The seafood garlic dipping sauce was a tad watery. Good size prawns but I can't say I'm a fan of leaving the tails on. Its nice just to pick up the whole prawn with your fork and put it in your mouth. No hands needed at the table adds just a little class. Bangers n' Mash hit the spot. Three big pork and fennel snags with plenty of gravy and peas with just enough mash to sop everything up. Fully sated. We will gladly return to try other menu items and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Beer battered sweet lip with chips and salad, was great value for money. Great service, atmosphere and I hope the new place will be as good as the grand old hotel it is now. Imacentrist P C Moderate Maybe some photos next time, as I was too hungry to wait. Table 14

Been there twice - once during lunch hour and again on a Saturday evening. Loved the live music and the service was EXCELLENT! I ordered fish & chips both times and it was...EXCELLENT. Enough for 2 people, so I shared with the Wife, which made it all the more romantic. I also saw a first: A millennial enjoyed her dinner with slippers on her feet - what's next?

Been going there regularly for years. It's been our local and the place we go for special occasions. Went tonight the menu has changed and is limited to what it was no specials like there has always been the food was average at best and the prices have gone up extremely disappointing. Time to find a new place.

A very nice meal and value for money. My friend and i both had the surf and turf with garlic butter, chips and salad. All cooked to our liking and very filling. The cocktails weren't that fab but they don't boast to be a cocktail bar and do the very basic ones!!there is a nice outdoor area after one of the staff eventually found a full gas bottle which was fab and made it bearable outside it was a very cold day and for me the outside view is much nicer than inside. Parking along the street is free metered/timed 2-4 hours, enough time to eat!!The staff don't fall over themselves trying to assist you but are friendly once you have their attention never the less..lunchtimes12-2pm appears to be their busiest times so went just after 2pm which was perfect they still only did the lunchtime menu!! All in all a nice afternoon and pleasant meal with a pleasant ambience!!

After a busy day at work, I often find myself at this place. It offers a delightful combination of delicious drinks and meals in a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is impressive, and the ambiance is open and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Highly recommended for weekday relaxation.
