Wow - what a standout the staff have been over such a busy New Years!! Friendly and accommodating even when run off their feet. Great to see!! We witnessed some very entitled customers who showed some very unattractive traits. Congratulations on your tenacity dealing with challenging customers.

Whilst one of us got the wrong meal, we got reimbursed with the right one as well as the option to keep the wrong one, therefore having more food to eat to fill us up reasonably well. Delicious food and friendly staff. Definitely worth going back again. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful evening out last Saturday night at the American hotel in Echuca!
Definitely 5 star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our meals came out within 5 minutes, and the solo singer was great, and the band came on at 8pm was sooo good! Loved the music they sang, and the atmosphere of the garden courtyard out the back was unbelievable!
Just great service, great music and a bloody fantastic night 👏🥳🎉🍺🥂🍾🍹🍸loved it sooo much, thank you! 😇

We went on wednesday night for steak night, $25 for a superb 300g scotch fillet and fries, chargrilled and cooked to perfection.

We visited over the weekend. Great live music Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Food was lovely and staff were friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a family dinner here on holidays and it didn't disappoint, the meals were generous portions and delicious, lots of pub favourites, lots of choice for food and great drinks menu,exceptional service and didn't wait too long for food to arrive, the setting and vibe of the American is fantastic whether you are there for a family dinner or drinks with friends listening to some great music,check out the roof top bar🍸 😊

Very disappointed with the food, prepared, flavourless cold and expensive. Took forever to get them only to be disappointed, what pub can mess up a Parma?? Dont bother with happy hour, confusing and tricky beer and wine selection.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. Great courtyard and great decor etc. Our dog was offered a water bowl for a drink which was great and not often done. Food was amazing

This is a great relaxing place to eat. The pork belly tacos are lovely and the parmi night is good value. Great list of cocktails.

Staff members were welcoming, indoor atmosphere was nice with the pool table available. Outdoor area were our group was eating was horrible music was way to loud couldn’t have a conversation with people as you weren’t able to hear. When food arrived things were missing, I requested my food to be cooked well done and I got medium rare, we also ordered the wings and they came out dry as dry, we got two parmigiana was full of to much ham and one was cold and the salad they got was just lettuce and onion. Only one person liked there food they highly recommended the pasta
Atmospheres indoor is amazing just need to take the volume down on the music outside and improve food.

Our food was really good. Staff were excellent. Plenty of areas to sit in. All with good atmosphere. Music on the night was entertaining. Will return.

NOTE: My review pertains only to staff and not the food.
I was in Echuca on Sunday (14-04-2024) and some guy was harassing and following me after I indicated that I wasn't interested in talking to them.
Two of your employees checked up on me afterwards and asked if I was okay.
I'm writing this review to say that I appreciated that immensely.

Meal arrived with cold scrappy chips which were not ‘fat fries’ as described in the menu, waitresses passed our table numerous times, and didn’t offer to clear our plates. Value for money was very poor.

It was a Tuesday and we were looking for a good pub meal. The 1895 (Royal) knocked us back which turned out to be our luck. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who ran through the specials and menu. It was $25 steak night which is normally risky but this steak was sensational! Porterhouse 400g cooked to perfection with thick cut chips. It’s hard to find a good steak these days which is why I always go the Parma. Well done. Best meal of the holiday.

It's a pretty expensive pub/bar serving flavourless and cold food. Beer prices were touching the sky, and I had to wait for 15-20 minutes to just order a pint. Then, I'd to wait again for 15 minutes to order food on the other counter. Also, the 10% discount was only for the locals, which I couldn't fathom much.

Had two chances at cooking a medium/rare steak
First over cooked to well done
Second under cooked and rare
For the chefs selection of $50 not worth it
Service by Maddi and Asher absolutely perfection
Tom the manager amazing
Wine perfect
Definitely returning just not for the steak, will try pamas later this month.

Had lunch with my wife meals were good ,staff were very friendly, a pleasurable experience. Highly recommended.

Great pub right on the banks of the river they serve early lunch starting at 11.30 then a very short walk to the port of Echuca to catch the paddle steamer departing at 1.15 I recommend it

Great experience.
Warm and inviting atmosphere.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Many different eating and drinking areas. Something for everyone.

Good food, excellent service, great atmosphere.
Not much else else you need in a pub except good drinks. They have plenty of them as well.
No disappointment here.
Tuesday steak nights are highly recommended as well.

Excellent service by genuine staff. Delicious and well presented affordable food. Modern & artistic interior. When ever I'm visiting Echuca, I'll be coming here.

Cool place but waited an hour for food. And wasn’t worth the wait. $32 for main calamari which is just packet stuff with a salad - no chips. Go for a drink but avoid food

Came here with high hopes of a really good parmi! $32 later was served a dry tastless parmi with greasy chips and pea coleslaw that tasted heavily of sauerkraut. Drinks were lovely. Skipped dessert after such a dissapointing dinner.

Ate here lastnight after deciding what we were having off the menu on their website before arriving, only to be told they don't do that menu anymore? Well remove it off your website. The manager said menu was changed 2days prior yet the girl serving said she had worked there 2years and never seen it. Food was average chips burnt and tiny dry burger.
Smoked chicken dry and mac and cheese luke warm swimming in water.

A bit disappointed to be honest: advertised as happy hr 6-8, band 6-8, parmas $20
Found out no one incl bar staff knew about happy hour nor did they work hard to serve the waiting people with drinks. Of course, yet again the band was no turn out.
Parma was nice but salad was coleslaw with grated carrot and a few peas.
