What a fantastic venue with such a great atmosphere. Service was outstanding even when busy and the play area for kids and multiple seating areas were great. The meals very prompt to come out but the chicken in the salad was overcooked tough and dry :-( and the pork was also quite tough warm and dry :-(. Kids meals were terrific and so was the Parma. Will be very keen to try again.

We went with family who live locally. Lovely club which seems very popular, lots of large groups in on that day. Service very quick, we were served drinks almost straight up and food to follow not long after. Really, delicious hot food and a good plate full. Highly recommended from us.

We shared a seafood platter. It was delicious. We also had a couple of drinks and a shared dessert. All up it was about $85 for the two of us. The staff were friendly and the meal came out quickly.

Went with a friend for her birthday. She had steak sandwich which she enjoyed.
I ordered pork belly and it was hard and really dry, like it had been in oven for overnight.
I returned it and a subtitute one was given but it was the same. I returned this one too and ordered flathead tails instead. They were just ok. The guy I was dealing with was helpful and apologetic. I did get a free coke and wasn't charged for my meal but it was very disappointing.

Went for dinner with my mother and ordered 2 entrees (bruschetta & garlic bread) as well as 2 main meals (flat head tails & garlic prawns) We waited 55 minutes for our main meals to be served and our entrees hadn’t been served yet. They were then served after we started eating our mains. The couple that arrived & ordered after us received their meals before us. To top it off, the garlic prawns were the worst my mom has ever had. No taste of garlic whatsoever and watery as if the prawns were frozen or the sauce was watered down. The bruschetta was a complete disappointment! The best thing was the garlic bread. Very disappointing waiting a long time for food and leaving dissatisfied. Overall the atmosphere was amazing but the food was terrible.

We had another faultless experience at Amstel Club today.
The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Our meals were fantastic, hot, plentiful and reasonably priced.
Their menu is huge, so there's something for everyone, including 10 meal choices for the kidlets.
We can't recommend Amstel more highly and look forward to returning very soon.

We booked in for a child's birthday with a booking of 10. We had a table near the play area which was great for the children. The service was prompt and courteous. The food however was an absolute disgrace. At the prices they are charging the food should be exceptional. Only one of six adults ate all their meal and this was not because of the size. We wont be back.
In response to the owner. When we paid the bill we advised the staff member that most of the meals were disgusting and the attitude was basically they are what they are. No apology.

Very busy joint with great pub food. The portion were amazingly huge. For drinks and dessert you will need to go to relevant counters to order. But for food can order to the service staff at your table.

The food was great, good serves and super yummy. The service was very slow. We waited 45 minutes before our orders were taken and then the food took another 35 minutes before we got them. The waitress was lovely and friendly so it was a shame the service was so slow. Parking was busy but we managed to get a spot fairly easily but we did arrive early. I would go back and hopefully service is a little quicker, overall a good experience.

The food is always pretty average. Classic pub style food. We usually play it safe with a parma. The service is also pretty average, needing to go to the bar to order drinks but table service is available for food. We were sat in the main seating area recently in the booths across from the playground and there were ants crawling across the wall behind us. There is a really nice courtyard sectioned off area which is gorgeous. Bathrooms are usually clean and the nicest staff members are always the security guards on entry.

The Bistro is very busy at lunchtime and quite noisy. The meal was excellent and the service very good. I will happily go there again

Terrible food, terrible service.
After work me and the boys decided to go down for a feed after a long day of picking cotton. After getting to the counter to order we got told we had to pay an extra $5 for salad or veg which if you go anywhere else, it comes complimentary. Shambles. We were told “you’re paying for quality which you don’t get at other places. So after waiting half an hour our food arrived, cold, bland and just not tasteful at all. Firstly they got our orders wrong, when the food came back it was undercooked just completely terrible. I’m surprised this place has a rating of 4 stars as it’s definitely not worthy. Sonja the manger took majority of what we had to deal with and definitely could’ve done better, rude and just not the service you would expect from a place like Amstel.
Worst pub ever.

Stephanie took our dinner orders this evening and was the rudest waitress ever that l have encountered, absolutely no customer service ability, spoke to her tablet not the patrons in the tiniest of voice, no eye contact, no smile, no communication. As a member of this club, l was absolutely appalled by the rudeness and lack of customer service that this person has. I hope her employment with you is short lived.

Our booking was for lunch - 12.00.
We were seated by the window that looked onto the outdoor deck area. The first thing I noticed was a dead fly on our table & a half filled bottle of water on the windowsill beside me. It must have been there all night. If I hadn’t noticed these things then I would have been drawn to the filth on the floor & windowsills!
I went to the bar to get a serviette to remove the dead fly & the lady at the table near us also had to go & get one too - to remove the dead fly off her table! There were flys everywhere.
Or meals arrived in a timely manner. The servings were huge. My husband & I are seniors & we have found so many places that do not cater for us. The Amstel Club was no exception…We don’t eat as much & hence the waste was a problem for us. Particularly as the meals were expensive.
My husband & friend had the Seafood Paella, both enjoyed their meals, however my husband could only manage a small amount.
My friend had the Calamari & at $32 she was hoping it would awesome… she said her meal was ok.
I had the Angus Burger. The bun was supposed to be on brioche, I don’t think it was as it was very “bready”, the meat patty was dry & overcooked.
I just think that for the cost (increased since we were last there) it was not as good as we were last there..
Sadly.

Order the seafood platter for one.
More like seafood platter for two, it was a lot of food but very good quality. I polished it off.

My absolute favourite place for drinks and food. I love love looove their lamb shanks with mashed potatoes and the garlic cheese pizza. Rest of the food is also divine. The drinks are at a reasonable price no doubt.
Customer service is top notch.

Little gem hidden away that I didn’t see for so long. Very impressive. Food was fantastic. Service was attentive. Kids play area suited a range of age groups.

I recently visited Astel Pub and had an incredibly disappointing and infuriating experience. The security guards were nothing short of obnoxious and unprofessional. After stepping outside the front door for just two seconds, I was refused re-entry without any reasonable explanation. The security staff seemed to delight in their arbitrary power trip, treating patrons with outright disrespect and hostility. If you value being treated with basic decency, avoid this place like the plague. There are countless better options where you'll be treated with the courtesy every paying customer deserves.

Inviting & clean restaurant. Staff super friendly, ambient music playing over speakers. Food extremely tasty (i had the Nasi Goreng) & reasonably priced or at least standard pricing these days. Entrees $15, most pricing between $29-$33 for normal meals & then steaks/chefs specials anywhere approx between $40-$70.

In all fairness we arrived around 8pm, however not a reason to be served a raw $60+ Tomahawk steak. Also ordered an eye fillet which was overcooked, and accompanied with potatoes were that were bland and soggy. In my opinion an extremely overpriced meal for a pub type venue in a very outer suburb of Melbourne.

I have visited Amstel twice now and I absolutely love it. The food has consistently been amazing, the service has been great, and the prices are reasonable for the generous portions. Despite the initial busyness, we didn't have to wait long at all. I also appreciate that they offer take-home options if we can't finish our meals. It's definitely worth every dollar. My family and I are definitely planning to become regulars at Amstel. I want to express my gratitude to all the staff at Amstel - your hard work truly makes it an awesome place. Well done!

I have regular catch ups with friends here. The atmosphere is what makes it the best for me. Relaxed, with multiple zones, for different uses. Have been in the sports bar, the beer garden and the restaurant. Food is above average, mostly due to portion sizes being quite large.

If you are looking for a venue that supports locals and is family friendly you best look somewhere else! While this venue advertises that it supports locals this is not something it does in practice.
My family have been attending the Quizzame trivia since it started in 2020. We have even encouraged several other friends and family to attend and now have a team of 7-10 who attend every week. There are also several other teams with kids that also attend every week. We also advertised to other family and friends to attend due to the fact that it was family friendly and the kids could come and have a social night as a family.
Unfortunately, this venue has made the decision to move the trivia from the function room to the sports bar which is a smaller area that won’t accommodate the larger teams or the up to 19 teams that come. This area is also NOT family friendly, which means that the larger teams that come as a family will no longer be able to participate, which I’m sure the venue were well aware of. We were advised that this decision was due to staffing costs, however there was only one extra bar staff and as the space was larger more teams attended and more food and drinks were purchased in the function room than what would be in the sports bar so I feel this was not the reason this decision was made. It’s deeply disappointing that after 4 years we are no longer welcome to play trivia at Amstel 😢

Heard good things about Amstel only to be disappointed. Atmosphere was like being at a day care centre with young children running and screaming through the place. Had to move tables due to a door to the outside area being opened and slammed by patrons every 2 minutes. Staff should have locked it and asked people to use the main doors.
Meals were average. Spring rolls arrived with no sauce. Requested sauce which arrived 15 minutes after they were eaten. $55 for a rib eye medium. Arrived Luke warm. Cook was inconsistent. Went from well done at the edges to blue at the bone.
Expensive but ordinary food. Playground atmosphere. Staff are young and inexperienced.

Hands down the best steak I've ever had, the tomahawk steak is a must try if you are a meat lover or just enjoy a nice meal. Cooked to perfection, this 1.1 kg steak will not disappoint you.

Food is affordable is great, service is outstanding love the quick and prompt responses of the staff. Love the vibe as well!
Ordered the following :
Beef Lasagne love the beefy and sauce.
Chicken and mushroom carbonara the creamy goodness of cheese really gives you the right flavour.
Nasi Goreng this one blows us highly recommended.
Seafood platter so good and love the lobster on it worth the price.
Chicken and beef stir fry one of our faves!
Classic caesar Salad gives you refreshing taste after heavy meal
Toma Hawk WORTH IT!!! Sooo good!!!!
