Arana Leagues Club

We visited for a family birthday on Sunday and it was lovely. The comment I will make is regarding meals for seniors - there are not a lot of options, especially softer options. Crumbed fish rather than battered fish would be good. My father - aged 88 with false teeth - had bangers and mash last time and while he managed it, it was a massive meal for a senior. This time he chose the pie which he thought would have been a softer option re the filling. It was dry as and although there was a gravy pot provided, it did nothing at the time to soften the meat. A few options more suited to seniors and softer options would be a great idea - including cooked vegetables ... not blanched.

We've made our date night out on Tuesday or Wednesdays so we can take advantage of Ur value meals. Meals are quick and nice, drinks were yum and a quick flutter on the machines after topped off a great night with my loved one

Went dinner last nite. Had seafood basket - prawns inedible. They were garlicky with sweet chilli sauce flavour burnt beyond recog. Same as calamari. 1 piece of fish n few scallops ok. My partner had a small pork roast - a huge plate of jumbled veg with chunks of pork. Would not recommend. 1 point for staff.

Very nice leagues club down in Arana. Had a lot of dinners here for various family birthdays and catch ups. Its quite a big place with lots of seating inside and out. Staff are really nice and always make an effort. Wait staff are generally younger kids but they do a great job. Live entertainment is often on otherwise plenty of tv screens playing the footy to watch. Kids have their own play room and its often put to good use as its a family friendly environment with plenty of little ones running around. There is 2 restaurants inside, the big main one with a full menu and the smaller cafe running a smaller basic menu with a dessert window. The food is fairly standard pub style food, don't expect anything to blow your mind and you will be fine. They have a fully stocked standard bar of spirits. My only criticism is the beers on tap are pretty much XXXX and Tooheys. They have so many taps would expect them to run at least some stone and wood Pacific ale. They do have a couple of craft beers in bottles but not many choices. There is a small bottle shop attached to the front that stocks small range of basics. Overall its an enjoyable venue to visit that is well run.

The new steak special was absolutely amazing definitely a new favourite. My daughter decided to go out of her comfort zone and tried a medium steak and loved it your chefs have converted her .😊

The meals were delicious, nicest steak I've ever had, but the side serving was way too much for a regular person to eat. Everyone in my party felt bad that so much food would go to waste

Pulled up at peak hour Friday night we were lucky to be seated almost immediately by a worker named Zac. Although the time of day and the busyness of the Rana (what the locals call it) we got given a table for six straight away. My buddy Scott (Scott Mogs) got himself the ribs off the chef’s special menu he loved them and said “where tender meets tantalising, a savoury symphony for the senses.” Whilst me and my buddy Mitch endulged in the classic chicken parmi. We were both impressed by the perfectly sizzled thick cuts of bacon on top. My buddy Joel had the bangers and mash which he said was great and reminded him of his home land. Joseph had the steak but he couldn’t find our table the blind untcay. Will the had a chicken snitzel which he loved as he could dip it in tomato sauce. The bar was hard to beat, Mitch was having a yarn with the larrikin like bar staff for a hot minute he said “they were full of wisdom and experience.” In conclusion, our outing to the Arana leagues club exceed our expectations. The live music gave us a warm and welcome atmosphere. We appreciate the formal garments that all staff wear and kindness of the employees. The only issue perfectly summarised by Joel was “how the hell does the bangers and mash cost more than a chef’s special bbq ribs.”

Only saw the pokie room and it's a maze of a place.. large hall with machines in wierd arrangements that section the place off.. and a couple of small side rooms. Staff were friendly, patrons not so much. Place was clean. Service was quick.

My family celebrated double Birthdays with lunch yesterday. All staff were amazing, happy and helpful. Suggesting the cake go in the fridge, clearing tables quickly and when one of our guests lost her glasses, the staff searched high and low. The food ordered in the restaurant and cafe was amazing, big serves and delicious. Thanks Arana for a wonderful lunch experience.

Most enjoyable Saturday night. Menu was super comprehensive, able to choose from Cafe as well Bistro. Excellent quality of food snd huge serving sizes. Great vibe and bar staff were super also.

Lunch was amazing, quickly delivered to our table. Friendly and helpful staff. Huge portion and was delicious. I only wished I had taken photos. Next time I will as I will certainly be going back soon

Knowing that it was roast night and busy I expected to have a bit of a wait for our food. But after an hour I asked a waiter where our order was, she went and asked and came back with the answer of the chefs made a mistake and were remaking our food. We waited for almost an hour and a half for the garlic bread to come out, before our mains. I don’t mind if a mistake is made but there was no communication within that time to inform us that it had happened, so we were left to just sit and wait. If we had been informed it wouldn’t have been an issue!

I love Arana Leagues Club. It has been renovated. The place looks very nice. We love the idea of having an adult dinner while my girls are playing in the Kids Club zone, a supervised place with sign-in and sign-out. It has extra activities for children during some weekends. The Cafe is very nice. It has plenty of new Gluten-Free food. I haven't tried them, but I will do it soon. The service is excellent. The place has an extra discount if you are a club member. Last time, we had a flat white coffee with a Gluten-Free caramel slice and a vanilla cake. Delicious! Here is the menu from the Cafe.

I have been here many times. Tonight, the Rib Fillet was absolutely terrible. To the Club’s credit, the staff offered me a free beer to compensate. Money back would have been the right thing to do.

Had a wonderful lunch with the family there last Sunday. Very enjoyable atmosphere and the food and service was very good. Only complaint was that there wasn’t enough bar staff. I gave up on waiting and grabbed a bottle of water instead. We probably didn’t need a second round of drinks anyway. Cheers

Great service. Thank you - I had forgotten my card and I was immediately supplied with a replacement card. Thank you. Sadly, my friend and I went to lunch last Sunday, April 14th, and we ordered the Special. Lamb curry. When it arrived, the portions were so enormous, each portion would have fed 2 people. But it was cold, and the lamb was so tough, we could hardly chew it. Not a very nice birthday meal for me. Sincerely Ruth Dyer

Food was great once again. We did make mention the Singapore Noodle dish my wife normally orders was quite dry last time so we mentioned this at the counter and asked to make sure a little sauce is left in the dish. This time it came out perfect and sauce was delicious. Well done

Food was a total let down. Don’t know how you can get a chicken Parma so wrong. The only thing edible were the chips. Even getting the kids free ice cream was difficult because we ordered using the QR code and didn’t have “tickets”!! The baked potato with the steak was also pretty sad - undercooked and a pea sized amount of sour cream. Very sad.

Enormous gaming area. It's a large, modern and exceptionally clean RSL. The food is great as are the beers from the tap. Bit pricey but it's in a great location with great services inside.

Crispy pork belly (Chefs Special) not crispy at all. Looked pale and insipid and not at all how crispy pork belly should look. Did not enjoy at all. However The Vegetable Enchiladas were nice. Garlic bread had no taste of garlic at all. Is never toasted on both sides only the top. Would be better if toasted or baked through to make it crispy

Bit disappointed really. Id been told how good their meals were and went here for lunch last week. The food was ok (Nasi goreng) but very salty and the serving size for a supposed large meal was embarrassing. Hate to see what a small meal would look like. Realitically I could have had better tasting with larger meal size and cheaper price from Noodle box. I cant recommend. Having said that... the other three meals my group ordered did look better. Maybe i got unlucky?

Arana Leagues Club is an outstanding "family friendly" Community based leagues club located at 247 Dawson Parade, Arana Hills. This club has one of the best facilitated local junior league football grounds (McKell Oval) on the North side of Brisbane. West Arana has been a long-term Junior Rugby League development club, which has produced many talented players over the years. A large number of juniors have gone through the age groups to progress to senior levels of Rugby League 🏉 Excellent parking is available in & around the Arana Hills Leagues Club premises. Parking is also available directly across the road from the Leagues Club in the Grovely Primary School precinct. There is a user friendly drop off point at the main entrance to this club. The Arana Hills Leagues Club is a great place to be able to relax & enjoy a meal. There is an excellent menu selection available that suits all dietary requirements. Fantastic bar facilities are available, catering for a large range of craft beers & other assortment of beer on tap. The Arana Hills Leagues Club has undergone significant improvements in the Gaming & Restaurant area's, this has now been completed & has given the club a brand new outlook. Always love our time at Arana Leagues Club! The meals seem to have gotten way bigger in size recently, doggy bags needed otherwise a great time :)

Always a great experience. Always well staffed. We love the kids club. Mondays Kids eat free. And the staff always friendly and do a great job. I always go for the steak and always happy with that as its lovely meat with a good portion of chips and salad.

After asking to be seated near the kids section my grandson didn’t come with me. The area was not bad as you would imagine. More noise from the rest of the club. Meal was served in a quick fashion and my mocktail was lovely. Enjoyable night for all of us.
