The kids area was a good surprise too, wish it had a gate tho so I can lock em in haha

We've been here a few times now as we just moved down the road. We've been to a few pubs around the area and the Ashmore tav is the best! The food is amazing. I recommend the pork belly and the steaks were HUGE! All the staff are so lovely and accommodating. We always try to go on a Saturday because the kids entertainer is incredible. I barely see my kids because she keeps them so engrossed with balloon twisting/face painting etc. She's hilarious. The atmosphere is lovely. The new renos make the place feel comfortable and inviting. Highly recommend Ashmore tav!

Went to have lunch over this place on 19/01/24, ordered 55$ full rack pork ribs, on receiving the food the meat tasted so old and couldn't eat and informed the staff they didn't even apologise for serving the bad food, they kept waiting us to resolve the issue and started serving other customers, when asked for refund she told their company policy to not give refund, WHAT IN THE WORLD. So poor customer service and manager had no remorse

We loved the renovation and serve great food too. Definitely a place worth checking out!

We had the parmi and rump steak came out quickly, both came with chips an salad but salads had no dressing and they have billson's fruit tangle on tap 😁

We had Easter lunch here....and totally amazed the food was absolutely beautiful and definately big enough servings....huge in fact. Money well spent. Staff were friendly and very fast to food out. Very clean and well presented restaurant. We will definately be back again

The texture of garlic toast is like drinking butter. It was the worst. The chips were also over fried and dry. It was very disappointing.

The place is looking so good, some great spots to sit and eat, relaxed, nice cool air con :) but unfortunately for me the food is only very average, I have tried various menu items in the hope of hitting an absolute winner, but they just never quite get there. Disappointing because the place is lovely, and convenient

The menu is fantastic. I want to try everything! 😅 Great service and friendly staff. Live music on the Sunday that we were there. $19.00 ,lunch menu 😋. Wonderful atmosphere 👌. You could say that I liked my visit. 👍👍👍

The Frenchman schnitzel was tasty & a nice different take on traditional parmigiana. The rump steak while nice was overcooked

The food is delicious and the meal is worth in their price, you end up full tummy that's for sure and their staff are friendly and helpful. Clean toilet and big dining area. Lots of pokies to choose too in gaming area been winning few times here.

Thank you Carlia & Rachel for making the Melbourne cup gathering for 9 of us memorable. My only downside was your booking agents. Took 5 times to book in 9 people as there was a time limit,why?

Stopped for some nectars. This tavern is open patio type feel. Finishings are more modern than some of the other taverns. There are the usual pokies and Keno games. Large screen for Footy events. Long fully stocked bar. Easy parking. The venue also has an open patio at the back of the venue. Not the largest tavern I have been too. But one of the better ones. Service great. Easy wheelchair access. Will return.

Service from the lovely girl at the bar was excellent.
Our dinners however not so great. Salmon was so over cooked it resembled chicken. Paid 45 for the rib eye Med/rare and got a $45 well WELL done ribeye. Not a hint of pink in there.

Pretty good food for a tavern. Nice outdoor area is great in the evening. Friendly staff too. Has the lobster steak combo which was terrific.

Nice tavern recently renovated. Food is quite good, typical tavern fare. Carpark is hilly at best (I must remember not to wear my 10 inch heels next time) and floods in heavy rain.

Nice big tavern with new decoration. Atmosphere is appropriate for all ages. Staff needs to be more friendly and attentive as there is a sense or careless in general. Food is just ok but the portions are very generous and well priced.

My family and I recently had lunch at the Ashmore Tavern and the food was exceptional! I had the crispy skin barramundi! Highly recommend this dish! I’ve also recently had the crispy skin pork belly and again it’s absolutely incredible! The food being served at this venue is food you would expect from a classy restaurant but reasonably priced. All the staff are super friendly, there was also live music, great kids play area and a beautifully newly renovated dining area.

I’ve previously reviewed this place as excellent but we went for lunch today and I can’t say that now. We had a “usual burger”. It looked great. The bun and salad were good but the patty was overcooked to a nearly inedible state - same with all the chips on both orders. The onions were raw - NOT cooked. In Australia we like cooked onions on our burgers. Second order was barramundi with chips and slaw. Verdict was “pretty good” - slaw was great, fish was good, chips were overcooked and were left on the plate. Live entertainment was still setting up when we left so missed out on that too. Disappointed isn’t strong enough.

Hard to beat $15.00 lunches 😁 renovations look so good too and beer prices are below average too. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Had dinner and drinks here last night with some friends and the kids, and we were all blown away by the friendly and attentive service by the lovely staff. There was live music, the place was busy but not full, so plenty of atmosphere, and a great kids play area. The kids loved their meals, soft drinks, and ice creams with sprinkles, and the grown ups burgers were excellent. Have lived locally for years and have only been in for drinks, but will definitely be back with the kids for a meal in the near future.

Had a small B’day lunch today and we had a great time. The tavern has a lovely decor and a good vibe. Food was good & reasonably priced & service from friendly, smiling staff was great to see. A special mention and a huge ‘thank you’ to Callum for his overall assistance in making our day an enjoyable one …, it was very much appreciated. The tavern is definitely worth a visit …, especially if you’re in the area.

Fantastic service. Food was delicious (bought the crumbed squid, fries with aoli & salad). Huge portion size, fresh, hot, quick & cheap! Couldn't ask for more ❤️ AAAA++++

Came to the Ashmore tavern for some dinner. The food was amazing. Really fresh and didn't have to wait long at all. Was really clean and had a warm family atmosphere. The place is well laid out with plenty of seating options. Plenty of TV's also to watch the football or other sports. Gaming area also is very well kept. Will be back again. I have never had a bad experience in 10 years here. Great tavern.

Been here many times before now with the changes - the food is still good but the service is rubbish. Couldn't make a booking over the phone for dinner and was told it had to be done online.
When using the QR code to order dinner, there were no options to remove items from the meal such as tomato off the Tav burger.
Having 2 coeliac kids it was great to see GF options with the burger buns which we ordered two of, however with one order, the kitchen made the decision to remove the fries from the the order as they contained gluten and replace them with a salad ( which we didn't ask for and kids wouldnt eat).
With the second burger order, which hadn't come out yet, I went and spoke to the kitchen staff about replacing the salad with the sweet potato gluten free fries and was repeatedly told no by the wait staff - and finally the chef and was told that changes can't be made to orders once in- to which I replied "well you made changes to the first burger order without even asking if we would prefer a GF salad or GF sweet potato fries, so I think you can make changes" with which I was again repeatedly told changes can't be made. So I requested no salad dressing and brought the two uneaten salads home for our guinea pigs to eat...... Basically food still good.
Ordering app needs a full set up options and customer service very lacking especially in the back of the kitchen.......
If you want a quieter area to enjoy your meal I would suggest the area closest to the carpark.
No table service so you can't ask questions regarding the menu and clarify information.
Customer service has really gone down hill.
People want face to face. Not face to screen experiences.

Absolutely no where to sit after the main bar closes.
Kicked out of the main bar. Patrons excessively noisy.
Can't have a chair outside. Only other area is smokers corner. I don't smoke. It's only pokies or leave.
Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the venue.
