Wow! The best Porter house steak I have ever had. Cooked to my liking, perfectly. A decent amount of salad, (yes, I like salad) and beautiful crisp chips. Happy friendly staff. Looking forward to next weekend and the Aspley hotel becoming our regular again

We love this place!!!! It’s our local pub and we feel so at home there. The staff are so friendly and the food and drinks are always great.
We have a 1.5 year old and the little kids package with crayons, stickers and a colouring book is a nice touch.
Prices are good too and being a member, we get a lot of deals here and there too which is awesome.
Only suggestion I would say re atmosphere is a kids area would make it from great to exceptional!! Lol! ;)

Weekend away for our 29 Wedding Anniversary and we had our dinner at the Aspley hotel.
We are so pleased that we did .The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, All the staff,food and service
was faultless .
A special thanks to Amy and Kunda for going out of their way to make our
night so special .If looking for somewhere nice to eat we highly recommend the Aspley Hotel

We are locals who visit often over the past 10yrs. Its a <15min walk for us.
Post covid, there have been issues with basics .. mashed potato that is dry/seperated; sauce issues
To be fair - the basics are there. Focus is on the protein and cant fault that level.
The sides are the problem.

Was our local, however getting very expensive for lunch. There was 4 of us and just the food was almost 200 dollars. We tried the homestead pub the week after and the food was 85 for the 4 people. We got a 400 gram steak on there lunch special for less than 20 dollars. They also had great pizzas wraps and lots of other very reasonably priced lunch specials. Unfortunately we wont go back to the aspley after eating there. Also not sure about that new awful liquor sign out the front..."colder than your ex" serving expensive meals with bogan signage

Was here for a birthday dinner.
Amazing stay, was very welcoming!
We had an accident and spilled a drink 😔
(got a free refill so I'm not complaining haha)
Awesome food.
Would come back again.

Under new management apparently, seems to be going " la de da" cheap pub meals are not the same, feels more restaurant food than pub food, bit more expensive, but still tastes good

This Place is Incredible!!! Everyone of the staff make your time so pleasant, they take care of your every need. The food is Beyond amazing, massive portions and cooked to perfection. In all my years I've never been to a venue that excels above and way beyond what you could expect at everything... They serve you food and drinks when playing gaming... everything you need they take care of. You genuinely feel like family, If youre looking for a great place to play eat and enjoy and feel confortable... THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! 10000%!! AMAZING PEOPLE, FOOD AND VENUE! 👌🏼🫶🏼💙

The food and drink offering has improved leaps and bounds in the last few months! Service is always good. Such a welcoming pub, we've noticed the small changes recently that have improved everything. Definitely our preferred local now.

The atmosphere and staff are great since they were bought out by Star- but the food is terrible. Please change your menu or your chefs! Every meal I have tried is just “average”. I’m convinced your chefs mustn't try your food- it’s 9 times out of 10 terrible. No chef would be proud to present that. I’ve had salmon that is clearly pre cooked, microwaved and slapped on a hot pan to crisp up as it’s overcooked and still cold in the middle. I’ve had a “brisket” burger that was clearly also microwaved as it tasted worse that hospital meat and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. Also a massive section of un-rendered fat through it. Inedible.
Notified staff and got the standard “I don’t care response” of sorry about that.
Pleeeeease look at your menu and improve! It could be a really great venue and you’ve put a lot of money into the renovations but the food is severely lacking.

Pretty relaxed n chilled place. Brings snacks round while playing pokies. Free softdrink for games room patrons. I'll have a good time

Overall it's a nice local, plenty of parking and friendly staff. The kitchen seems to have its moments but I've been back a few times and just relax if they are under pressure. The drivetru is handy also 😊

Nice old style pub with a good atmosphere
Restaurant is off to the side and the menu was good
The food was pretty good
Plenty of parking and the place was not too crowded
Easy service at the bar with friendly staff
Safe pub with a nice selection of drinks and food
If I lived in the area it would be easy to make this your local

Nice clean venue. Smaller size pokie room. Friendly patrons and staff. Some of the pokie machines are way too loud.. even at the quietest setting. Otherwise not too bad.

Me and my families went to the Ashley hotel for dinner on Friday night the place was clean the staff was very friendly and helpful went out of there way to make you feel welcome. The food was so excellent. But the sizes of the meals so big and yummy. Definitely going back with friends and in-laws. Thanks guy and girls great pub with fantastic food.

I previously wrote a negative review but have since been back and it was a very delightful experience. We took our three young kids and the food came out in 5 mins. This is a game changer for parents. The food was generous, kid friendly and they got a drink and ice cream included. Absolute deal! The menu had a great selection and the prices appeared much more reasonable. The food was generous and delicious, nothing too fancy, a great pub meal. It was busy, there was an atmosphere and it felt like how it used to be. It felt much more of a local family vibe rather than the previous impression that they were trying to kill the bistro and focused on the pokies as their main source of income. Definitely good to have our local back. I don't know what has changed behind the scenes but they have definitely turned it around. Well done and keep up the great work. Thank you. P.S please bring back the lunch specials menu and PLEASE set the kids area back up. It was great!

I'm annoyed with myself for being too darned willing to please people.
Also for not raising this last night...
Our steak sandwiches were cold and my daughter's 'special' burger was anything but special...
Go elsewhere is my advice.

Had our work end of year function here was great for large group or smaller one's. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The food came out quickly and was extremely large.

Great food at great prices. Lunch prices are awesome and delivered quickly. Parmi's are delicious as well as the battered barra.

Excellent on every level! Service is outstanding, meals of more than generous portions, and all meals delicious. Loved the calamari - seniors, the schnitzel my son had was soooo good and my husband had bangers and mash which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our first time here but we will be back for sure. The staff were very helpful. 😊

Came in for lunch today and was surprised by how quick it came considering there was quite a few people there. Customer service was friendly. Had the lemon pepper calamari lunch which came with a drink. My meal was great definitely filling. The choice to sit outside where there was greenery added to the relaxing experience.

Back yesterday with my partner to try and see if the meals had improved and boy oh boy, have they ever!! Beautiful food 👍😊 my partner had a porterhouse steak and salad, and she said was one of the best steaks she had ever eaten. I had the Barramundi and it was spectacular.
The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and I especially liked the interaction and professionalism of the Head Chef and the Manager.
We will be back for sure.
Back again for Thursday Snitt’y night bloody beautiful 🤩
