We wanted a meal to catch up with family and chose here. It was very crowded and we were seated out of the main area even though I was using a mobility walker. It was difficult to move easily to our table. The food looked quite good but in my view, the fish was undercooked and extra oily. My partner and I both felt ill afterwards. Visiting from North Queensland. Not returning

We ate at Aussie Hotel for lunch. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our meals. I ordered the roast beef. This was very dry and tough, like it had been reheated. The potatoes had no flavour and were quite oily. The veggies were raw. My husband had the fish and chips. The chips looked like they had been cooked in old oil. The staff were very friendly, but were very quick to clear our plates without asking how our meal was. A waste of our hard earned money and an unmemorable experience.

Was really nice but had to send food back as it was cold. Staff were very apologetic and got it sorted. Overall great place if you can deal with noisy atmospheres!

Very disappointing meal.
Ordered a medium to rare scotch fillet steak, cost $49.
What I got was a dry, tasteless, overcooked piece of meat on soggy chips. It was so bad I gave up eating half way through. I did point it out to a staff member but nothing happened. The offer to send it back was refused as there is no guarantee as to what a cook would do to the meal that came back out. If the cook is so bad as to destroy a nice cut of meat, who knows what the cook would do to the meal repeat meal.

There is a huge, undercover beer garden making this venue not only pet friendly but human friendly too. Our meals were delicious. Hubby loved his Parma. Staff were friendly & helpful despite clearly being understaffed over the Christmas break.

Service was excellent. Great meals. Nice cocktails on offer (especially the Pink Gin Spritz). Some of the best pizza I've had for some time.

Reasonable for Shepp. Price is probably slightly higher than I'd expect from a pub serving slightly above par pub food other than that no complaints. Good flavour generous portions

Pretty stock standard Australian pub, we went on a Wednesday night and it was packed, staff were very busy. Casual place, you just rock up and grab a table wherever is available then order food at the bar (we initially waited to be seated). There is a large indoor area and also a small outdoor area.
Food is good, the salad was really nice as it had dressing on it. Filling meal.
Not the place to go if you prefer a smaller/ quieter place.

Plusses: big portions, great ambience, great bruschetta and lemon lime and bitters (bit of a llb connoisseur)
Downsides - the garlic pizza was too sweet (too much sweet chilli sauce), the chicken parmi was a bit dry, have to order at the counter and no-one came to check up on the food.

One of the few places in the area that is open and has publicly-accessible toilets on a Sunday. Staff were friendly despite us not buying anything. We weren't able to stick around long enough to order food, but the prices seemed reasonable and what we saw on other patron's tables looked very tasty.

Loved the gluten free options and the fact that they don't charge extra for GF. The food arrived super quickly and we enjoyed everything we tried.

Like your food SMOKED? The food and service was great. It would have been a perfect lunch. Let down by cigarette smokers. Actively encouraged by management and the dozens of ashtrays on all the tables. I thought I was back in the 1970’s. Outlined this via email to management. Nil response until I notified Dept. of Health.

Juicy chicken Parma accompanied by a fresh salad - and I don't mean that 4 day old squishy tomato and floppy lettuce one usually gets in most places. Chips were great too.
Update: 4 years later and the above still stands. Just had the Parma again and it was spot on! Everything super fresh and delicious. Great dressing on the salad.
Partner had the calamari and felt it was also super delicious.

I was in town for an overnight stay on a road trip and put “best pub dinner” into google, which brought me here.
Super busy on a Friday evening, would recommend booking if you are more than just one person.
Staff were lovely, food was unreal.

I have been here for lunch without booking!
Yesterday went to dinner without booking as well. It was Saturday dinner rush yet we get to seated, 3 of us had our dinner and drinks served on time.
We used app to order and pay from our phones instead from the bar.
Highly recommend wood fire pizza from Aussie Hotel!
My partner wanted to try wood fire pizza and we did. It was good 🤩!

Highly recommend a private function at the Aussie. Ian was very professional organising our event perfectly. Our private bar person, Lou was lovely and very accommodating, making sure everything ran smoothly on the night. Fingerfood was plentiful and delicious. Thank you

Had the most delicious lunch here today with my bestie, she had the ChickenParma...I had the Blonde Minestone Soup with garlic bread. Not only was it full of flavour, it was filling too!!! So delicious!!! We shared a slice of the baked cheesecake between us & that just topped it all off. Didn't have the room to fit in a cup of coffee...that will be another reason to go here...coffee n cake!!!
I rate the Aussie Hotel 5 stars for delicious food, friendly servers, fast & efficient service and a lovely place in general to enjoy. Highly recommend the Aussie Hotel if you are looking for quality and comfort food!!! 👌👌👌

Had dinner here tonight, (29-3-23). Meals were A-MAZING! Bar staff were so nice, and the guy tending our tables to remove our empty plates was so cheerful and friendly. It all made our night Terrific. Dining room area we were in was in a quite zone for my son. Beautiful area. Fantastic service. Very happy night. The food was so tasty, and filling. I'll go back again for sure. Thanks for a great night to all staff there tonight. Xx

Great food and service. However some of the chairs in dining room could do with replacing as upholstery is very tatty. Otherwise a good experience.

Friendly staff, quick service, and massive portions. Popped in for some dinner and a drink. Wasn't expecting much, but was surprised to find quite tasty filling food and good beer. Pricing isn't cheap, but very fair considering how much you get. Got there around 6pm and it was quite quiet, but it was looking a lot fuller by the time we left.

Awesome! Food was fantastic! Good range of beers and large menu. Can't wait to go back for more! Will always be stopping here when in town. Service was really good also

Amazing place! Not many are still open for lunch after 12pm but this place was and what a winner we found.
Staff were accommodating to us and we had beautiful meals out in the conservatory.
5 star meal as well off the specials board my husband is normally fussy with food but ate every last bite!

Food, beef snitzel, pork ribs to die for. From 2 fussy eaters.
Took a while but they were booked out and we were in good company.
