Wouldn't rush back. Food mediocre despite being the specials. We never got our starter. Some of our party were finished and cleared before our meal arrived. After a substantial wait the waiter came and took our otder a second time just so the chef could check! The waiting and bar staff were friendly and polite regardless.

When there's an item on the menu and you are asked is it fresh.... in this case lambs fry and bacon, and you are assured it is when it is presented clearly it has been frozen resulting in a mush you have to ask yourself are these cooks capable of cooking and telling the truth.... clearly not. The plate was returned to the kitchen, replaced with an equally disgusting roast of the day.... um freezer.. before you assume I'm just a wringing customer I am a chef of forty plus years and run my own catering company. Change your staff or employ people who really know how to prepare decent food.

Went there for a function, only access was stairs to the function room which was abit hard to carry a pram up.
My boyfriend asked for seafood sauce with his Parma, was told that he couldn't have it. My in laws ordered the same thing and got seafood sauce just before we ordered. He ordered me a steak cooked medium well done, was told that they only do medium. He also asked for no tomato in my salad, as I can't eat it. Was also told that they can't do that so I had to have only chips with my steak.
Food arrived and my plate was swimming in gravy, my steak was over cooked on one end of the steak and rare on the other end. My boyfriends Parma was the size of 2 chicken tenders put together..
Was disappointed for the price we paid.

We called in last night for a beer and a feed. Was surprised how really nice the food was! The cheese n garlic focaccia was sooo nice, as was the Mongolian beef and fried rice and the chicken parmigiana!
My 2 favourite sweets are self saucing chocolate pud and sticky date pud. Both were on the menu...trauma!
Bought both...the chocolate won...!
Friendly staff...would go back in a heartbeat...

Unfortunately I am unable to give a rating above 3, we waited so long for our meal it was disgusting, sadly my chops were so over cooked.
If we weren't hungry we would have sent meals back, one meal cold vegies,
The staff were excellent. Be a long time before we return.

Sonne interesting beers and some top notch burgers. No pickings for vegetarians but they were willing to put together a sir fry off-menu

Small place but pleasant to have a drink, but what I can't understand why I was forced to take off my hat. It's not the RSL I did mentioned to the lady what if an Indian guy walk in with a turban on his head what would you do throw him outside. No answer

Just had a meal at the Bairnsdale Club. Smallish place with a tiny entrance, easy to miss. Modern, tasteful decor. Easy menu with good prices. Meals were well presented and tasty. BUT! We were 2 tables of eight. Meals arrived very ad hoc with the times from first to last being approximately an hour and a half apart! In the meantime other guests arrived, were fed and left, their tables being reoccupied, and more meals delivered and eaten. All while some of our group were still waiting. Numerous approaches to waiting staff were useless. When the manager was asked for, we were told he/she was not on the premises. A gaming venue with no manager present!! So despite decent food in a pleasant setting, I could not recommend this club to others.

How could you not like it? Had dinner here with the family x 5 bloody beautiful and the servings were so BIG.

Ang and the staff are really helpful and are only to pleased to cater for all food requests. Meals are tasty, wholesome and fresh.
