Wow, what a great surprise for dinner. Service was friendly and the food was very good. My BBQ pork ribs were some of the best I have had and such a great price. My wife's salmon was also very good. Highly recommend.

Would have been*****for food but my wife had a problem with her's, dealt with quickly with a credit. Dining and bar staff were great. Had a few visits while in Ballarat, good times.

We visited from out of town. Club had a warm, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious meal (slow roasted lamb shank, salt and pepper squid) generous portions and reasonably priced. Very nice club and a very enjoyable 'dining out' experience. Will definitely go back again when we come to Ballarat again.

Went for Mother’s Day dinner. Was a $55 2 course buffet - had already run out of one soup by 6.15pm, what was left was lukewarm at best. Main course was dished out, well cooked but the servings were very small and the food was also lukewarm. Very disappointing and certainly not worth $55!!!

We love the drag bingo here, it's always so much fun! It runs once a month. The staff are lovely, the food has been great! Such a fun night out

We dropped in for dinner. We weren't disappointed. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, and the service prompt. Good spot for dinner when travelling.

Visit was very pleasant. Super friendly and helpful gentleman working was great to chat to. Nice and clean venue, will go back.

The meal selection was good and reasonably priced with good friendly staff service and on the night found the meals to be ……
Other reviews mention different experiences so one should not form an opinion just on one occasion.
Look forward to returning….get back after l check my calendar.

The Fawlty Towers show was the funniest show I have seen in a very long time. The Baby Boomer duo were also a great due to dance to and the meal was five stars out of five. Thank you Ballarat Leagues club for a great night. Please get them back again, as myself & friends would definitely come again.

Prices surprisingly cheap. $7.50 for a can of Guinness! Everywhere else it's over $12! Food wasn't bad. Definitely good value.

Passing through for a week, came here night 1, great service, great food, and everyone is always busy, whether spraying tables or talking to patrons.
I’m now dining here night 2 and will be for the rest of my trip.

Nice place to have a meal, have a casual drink and spent some money at the pokies. Prices are just a bit above the average hotels but no big deal.

Never knew this place existed....
Happy to come across it, good variety of meals to choose from.... at reasonable prices.... Great big open fire to sit by.... Staff were awesome, friendly and helpful...only thing I didn't like were the flowers hanging all over the bar and fireplace, I thought they must have had a wake that day, NO they were from mothers day..(it was June 2 when we were there so think they could have been taken down by then)
Measl were a great size, and didn't take long to come out, hot and delicious..... Well worth a visit....

My parents love a good unpretentious pub vibe, so this was our first stop when they came to visit. The food was quick, hot and wholesome, and we had great service from the staff - thanks for a lovely night team!

Lovely gentleman served me in the Bistro, he recommended spaghetti marinara meal it was one of the nicest meals, I have eaten

Loved this place, only reason they a star was for Mother's day decorations were still up and it was now early June, (We were staying in town for a funeral, so went here for dinner)n the floral

I’m from Melbourne and have just been to the Club with friends and had a wonderful experience with a very enjoyable lunch. The meal was very generous with their helping and the meal was delicious.
The service and atmosphere was great as the room temperature was good without it being too cold and the music allowed us all to talk without having to raise our voices.
I would highly recommend this venue as we had a good relaxing atmosphere with good food and service.

I had the Chicken Parmiagiana in the sport's bar which was presented perfectly & tasted fantastic.

I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The meals were large, delicious and very filling. Even though we had to wait a while for our meals, the wait was worth it in the end. The only drawback was that the background music was a bit too loud, making conversation a little difficult, as it was a little hard to hear. Overall though, great food and the staff were lovely.

Heard mixed reviews for a long time. Thought wed check it out. Wasn't too busy when we went for dinner (7pm or so). Meals seemed to still take a while, by the time the last main meal was brought out for adults (table of 4 adults 2 kids) the kids were pretty much finished. The kids then waited almost 45 minutes for their minuscule cups of icecream so they were very restless and impatient, the adult deserts were even brought out before them.
Wasn't overly impressed with the quality of the meals or service for the price. Not in a hurry to try again.

Have been here Friday and Saturday night, we are in Ballarat for a few days for Starrcast and Lachlan behind the bar at the bistro has been awesome, he is an absolute star. Great service and friendly.

Came here for lunch today, and it was absolutely lovely.
I know the saying "dont eat seafood this far from the coast", but still couldn't help myself.
The oysters (natural) were fresh and delicious, and the seafood pescatore was phenomenal as well.
I will definitely be back during my stay out here.

A very enjoyable evening. Great food at very reasonable prices. Lots of variety on the menu. Our group all had different meals and all were happy with their choices. Staff were friendly and service was excellent.

$55 for Mother’s Day buffet lunch-2 course,
Food served by chef, couldn’t help yourself, no going up for seconds, was given roast beef, 3 small halves of chat potatoes, 1 small pumpkin, hard peas- all luke warm
Definitely not what you call a buffet!
Desert was pre-made on a small cardboard hat, half a standard serve of choc ripple with half a teaspoon of cream,
Definitely disappointed and not worth $55
Will not be returning
