We had lunch there on Sunday. The view as always was to die for. We ordered an Entree each and a main meal. It was very clear that the main was cooked before the entree. The mains were both seafood it was all dried out. The chips were soggy and absolutely awful. The waitress told us the mains we e close behind but we had the mains on the table almost before we started the entree. No one took responsibility for the stuff up. Bugger the view. Stay away from Bargara Golf Club.

Was ok nothing spectacular, wasn't anything overly wrong with it. My order came out wrong because the person must have pressed the wrong button and never read it back to me. Other than that the views are good but it is a golf club.

Two stars for the name and the view - the best parts - no dress standards (so expect thongs, hats on heads and plumbers cracks). The food took forever to come out and was so yuck all three of us ended up leaving it (along with a strong taste of garlic). They gave us the best steak knives and now we know why - the chicken schnitzel was TOUGH!!. The gravy was thick and older than me. The place is dirty and run down and stains everywhere - the pub would have been nicer !!

This is a great venue right in the heart of Bargara. Awesome views overlooking the ocean, with inside and outside dining. The meals are great and very reasonably priced. The bar has a very good selection of beverages. Bistro/Pub style. If you are new to Bargara, definitely check it out. I would recommend making a booking if you are dining. This venue is also called Club Bargara.

The staff member taking orders at the bistro was a pleasure.
Had the Mediterranean Vegetable Linguini at a function.
Every bite was a delight.

The sooner the new buildings get started the better, this place is so dilapidated.
The food is great, the staff are awesome, but feels like politics and individual emotions are slowing the opportunity of the new development starting. It's a shame.

The food was worth the wait which was an hr. When questioned we were told they were busy, but the table near us ordered after us & they had their meal & finished before our meal had arrived, that was when we queried where our meal was.
One very bad point was there were no gloves worn by the lady when handling all the salad...bare hands in food

The food was good and the staff are great. The clubhouse is tired and quite shabby. Will be great when the new clubhouse is built. Views are always spectacular.

Staff were lovely, decor was fresh and inviting, wine and beer choices were good. But someone needs to clean behind the toilet doors in the ladies. They were disgusting.

Staff are very friendly, helpful & welcoming but the food- unfortunately it was not up to scratch at all. Definitely one of the worst quality meals I've had. Such a shame because the place apepars to have potential & is in a great spot.

My partner and I have become regular visitors for lunch at Club Bargara. We understand the premises are due for redevelopment and this is sorely needed to say the least! The only other negative needing mention is the abysmal often not-so-background "music" being broadcast over the PA; loud and raucous, not at all befitting of the average mature lunchtime visitor. Food is great (the main reason we keep returning), and staff are friendly, with special mention of Lauchie who is a sheer delight to deal with and must surely be regarded as an essential human asset to the future Club Bargara! Can't wait for the commencement of the redevelopment and the Club's subsequent reopening!

Mother's Day lunch at a venue with one of the nicest views anywhere.
Our meals were: Chicken burger, Baked Barramundi and the Carbonara and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
The wait for food was quite long, an hour, but the place was packed and the staff were really picking up the pace.

Massive golf course for beginners! Really put me to the test! Was very hot due to the rain but loved it. It was quiet, too, and there was good value for money in 18 holes. The only thing was I couldn't find any water re filling stations around the course. Our course down here, on the GC, has them, and would be worth it when it's that hot and humid. Lovely staff, we would definitely go back.

Lovely golf course with challenges for all levels of players. Beautiful bunkers with fine sand.
The club house has a spectacular view of the ocean and superb meals at reasonable prices.

Lovely food and the staff were very great, they work very good n a fast paced invironment i seen, I was very happy with my nachos and chicken parmigiana we had, thankyou staff!

If you are looking for a place to eat with a nice view of the ocean, this is it. The foods I had here are really nice have to wait for a bit but not a big issue. I asked for medium rare for my steak but got a well done (no biggie) still tasty though, and the steamed vegetables tasted fresh. Also had a crispy pork belly one time with a massive serving of salad.
It was good overall.

Great views of the ocean but unfortunately for me that is where it stops. I order a chicken mushroom and bacon crepe and what came out on my plate was definitely not a crepe . What I actually got on my plate was chips salad and a average sized pie dish filled with chicken a couple of tiny mushroom pieces and a few pieces of diced bacon with a cheese topping. So so very disappointing . Staff were not that friendly.

Great view as you enjoy your meal. Had seafood salad and it was delicious. Dressing of sweet chilli, coriander and lime made it a winner! Staff were lovely, helpful and most courteous

Great food and friendly staff! The only down fall with this spot is to avoid during busy times as the wait time will be well over one hour.
We were lucky to get in early and order, however after that, the place was packed and people were lining up out the door to order.
They had a great live band on and it was awesome to sit back and admire the beautiful views.
Plan your visit to this great spot and you won’t be let down!

Food was a bit ordinary. Their so called Coral Trout was definitely not and the fish was old and been frozen for too long
But view and staff were great 👍

Food took 90 minutes and looked good but could have been cooked better and wasn't worth the wait. It's disappointing considering it's a great location for food and drinks. As an upside the girl did say there was a 90 minute wait so I recommend asking before you sit down as they are fairly accurate with the time.

Fantastic. The air conditioning works really well, Barramundi was delicious, customer service is fantastic, beer is cold, and the view is stunning

BGC is beautifully situated with great views out over the ocean where you are attended to by bright bubbly bar and kitchen staff. I only had a burger and chips, but it was very nice. The building and amenities look tired and need attention, but everything is clean. I believe they have plans for the future, hopefully not too distant.

Bargara Golf Club Bistro is a terrible place to get a meal; not only is the Golf Club old, out of date and in tatters, the venue has no atmosphere what so ever; it felt like going to dinner at the Smiths Family Canteen. Unfortunately we did not read reviews prior to going (which was our mistake). We went on a Friday evening for dinner and it took over an hour for the food to come out, this is absolutely appalling. When our food was finally served there was no apology or any acknowledgement we had to wait a long time; the plates were simply plonked down on our table and the staff member just walked off. We ordered Oven Baked Barramundi and the Vietnamese Prawn Salad, both were terrible. The Barramundi was dry and tasteless and Vietnamese Prawn Salad was drowned in sweet chilli sauce, you could not taste anything but the sauce, it was "woeful" to say the least. So if your looking for a place to eat don't bother with Bargara Golf Club, it's a total waste of time and money

Amazing food. We had five different meals - Baked barramundi and steamed veg, Moroccan chicken, Sweet and sour pork belly and salad, Crispy chicken burger and Mediterranean linguini.....and they were all delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bargara Golf Club is our new favourite place to eat!
