Wow. Had amazing experience at Bay Central Tavern. Came in for dinner and will definitely be coming back. The head chef John was incredibly amazing and top notch food. Steve made an amazing cocktail and Caitlin served me with an amazing smile.

We have been here multiple times over the last ten years. Sometimes with a group for dinner to celebrate special occasions, many times with my fiancee to have a bite to eat, watch footy on the big screen, few drinks relax and have a flutter on the machines, and pop a keno on. Sometimes my fiancee will go alone. I trust this as manager Kym, and security Freddy always keep an eye on her and look after her. We have enjoyed the meals, service,company and location. Keep up the great work 👍 👏

We had such a lovely afternoon with outstanding and considerate customer service from Jal particularly. He went above and beyond being sure that all adults and children were cared for genuinely. Thank you. Venue - Clean bathrooms and space for all.

Watched origin on the big screen. Had oysters, steak, nachos and bacon and cheese garlic bread. Was all delicious and for how busy it was, wait time was minimal. Big shout out to Dani. Her customer service and hospitality was excellent. Can't fault the place! Will b back 😊🥳

Was very surprised the meal was huge fast and yummy. the location is not for views but awesome secret big screen to watch sport while eating. Also the place I was introduced to james squire 150 lashes wow very refreshing beer and has me hooked as my new goto beer. Great job 👏

The Tavern NEVER lets us down with quality of meals and excellent service. We dine there often as it’s consistent in every way. We Always take visitors there as it’s great value too. A special mention to the waiter Jal. He’s always so polite and checks to make sure everything is satisfactory. All the other staff are friendly too, behind the bar and a big thank you to the chefs and workers behind the scenes!!

Sometimes you go to a local pub and have a horrid time. But at the tav, aslong as Johno is working the kitchen everything comes out 5 star. Steven behind the bar is quick with your orders and happy to help :)

Rainy day finished shopping and called in for lunch before heading back to Gayndah. We have been here many years ago with friends for drinks . Great lunch 😋 meal were big serves we coukd have shared lol , nice cold beer 🍺 and comfy place to eat . We chose inside not on the verandah due to rain . Will keep this in mind when in The Bay and want a good reasonable priced meal .

Oh my lord, where to start.
Husband and I thought we would do a simple date night before the impending arrival of our baby boy.
Food was absolutely amazing. Best chicken breast I've had in ages and a great serving size. Husbands pasta was beautiful, a tad strong on the wine flavour but pasta was cooker to perfection.
Desert was 5 stars, possibly the best apple crumble I've ever had from a restaurant.
And Anna our server was absolutely lovely, super sweet and helpful.
All around a fantastic evening out for our last date night before we welcome our baby boy.

Oh my gosh! We were here tonight to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food is always delicious and serves are enormous, service is always exceptional… great venue for any celebration! Thank you so much! Looking forward to visiting again! Thank you everyone! Especially Steve!

Nice place to go for a family meal we had a tower of all different nibbles n a chaser salad steaks n burger ice place to go nice venue had pokies n keno tab very busy good for functions

Most unexpected as we stepped into the hotel we sat in a lovely position and we were so graciously escorted by Anna who is full of personality and made you feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us when we went to the counter to order. Steve was so professional and so welcoming once again It’s not easy to go places as we travel Australia wide working to find such a welcoming people.They certainly go the extra mile, visit this place because it is so unique.

I love this place. Delicious steak and prawns etc. Staff always on the ball and friendly. Great music. Plenty of events. My fave place.

I am a regular at the tavern and will always come back for more! The food is incredible and the service top notch. These guys know how to cook a steak and make the perfect drink. Love the service from Jal and Naya!

Great tavern ,Steak was well Rested/cooked to my liking (Med Rare) , and seasoned well .salad was fresh .Thanks Chef and team.0à
Desert was a nice slice of choclate cake .
Good little team behind the bar ,great vibe (through a busy lunch )
Young guy Jal on floor , good to see a young lad with a great work ethic ,great with the customers.

Great food and experience, we went on late notice with 2 families (4 kids) and were well seated near the playground. Good facilities, great playground for the kids, food is very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Great service as well, thanks to Steve and the team for looking after us.
Will come again next time we're in town.

First time dining here and unfortunately I shall no be returning. Chicken Schnitzel was not the best and fair to say that it was overcooked. Wife had the Hawaiian Parmy and I was disgusted that she paid an extra $8 for half a slice of ham 6 small triangles of pineapple as a Topper. We both had mash it was cold and tasteless. We had a wait 45 minutes for our meal, ordered through the Me&u app but did not state any wait times, and when we did try to make comments the food served Paul was in far too much of a rush. We ordered a sticky date pudding and in my personal opinion it was extremely unpleasant on the pallet. Tasted undercooked. We added custard as an option which came out cold rather than hot. I asked server Paul for a second spoon to share the dessert,that question was met with a sigh and huff quite clearly too much inconvenience to fetch another piece of cutlery. A table opposite us clearly had a member of staff off duty and dining with her family as she was aloud to go back into the kitchen for cutlery and at one point she was clearing her guests table, which I thought very unprofessional and understaffed.The atmosphere was terrible children running around which is of no fault to the staff but rather the parents that allowed it. I honestly thought there was going to be an accident as the kids where too near the kitchen hot plate. I felt the venue was lacking additional staff for a weekend.

fast service! seated by tamara as soon as I walked in. shanay served me a spiced rum and it went down well at the end of a long day. let the photos speak for the pork ribs! wow

Fantastic food and service. Steve was amazing - was windy outside and lost a full wine glass over the side of the table. He was very prompt cleaning it up and even replaced the drink for us! Bonus points for Steve! Thank you 😊

Bar staff were friendly but slow and made mistakes on two of my three drinks ordered. Waited over 45 minutes for our meals and my Rare stalk was well done. Not good for $36.

As long time regulars we decided to have our wedding at Bay Central Tavern . Table set up, decorations , music and facility provided for our celebrant everything went smoothly and a great time was had by all .
Accomodating around 45 guests , meal and drink service was on point considering staff had the rest of the tavern to serve as well.
EVERYONE said it was one if the best they’ve been too !
This is a reflection on the excellent bar staff , wait staff, the marvellous kitchen guys , (EVERYONE said the Humptydoo Baramundi was the best ) mangers Ali , Lauren and Paul , Thankyou our day could not have been any better ,

An excellent place to get warm friendly service and a tasty fresh meal.
Thank you to Cassie and the crew in the kitchen for welcoming us and cooking us a wonderful meal.
I will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Hervey Bay.

After a bad experience at another venue we are so happy with Bay Central tavern. Mj was great at booking our table and her bar service was excellent, Anna was extremely helpful with our children and Steve is always a fantastic help. The team is is great and we love coming here. My pizza was excellent and the risotto was fantastic

This is the second visit this year and something in the kitchen had changed. Hot food is cold or barely warm, med-rare steak $42 was well done and dry. Oysters Kilpatrick were as if there was no control on the over powering BBQ sauce. Terrible!
Everything seems slopped together and left on the counter, whilst the other dishes were delivered to our table, mine came out 5 minutes later, cold. Whole dish was cold.
As loyal regulars, I am giving this place the flick for a while.

Really like this place. Every time we have visited the food is amazing so great work John and team in the kitchen and Steve on deck.
Service staff always very friendly and accommodating.
Atmosphere is great, food better and staff welcoming.
