Went there for a mates 50th birthday party order our food took around a hour for our 3 meals to come out with rest of table Evan though we order earlier than the rest of table my food was cold mates chips where like McDonald's chip soft and have cold my wife's veggies where burnt over all will not go back or recommending

We had an excellent experience at The Belmont Hotel last Tuesday. We booked in for lunch (which was very easy to use) and we were all very impressed by the quality of service from every staff member.
Friendly, warm and engaging with all of our group (including 2 children).
The lunch menu was great. My schnitzel was perfect (quality and size) as were my chips and salad. We will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay here!! Great service, clean room and nice location (KFC right next to it and walking distance to aldi) night time you can also play pool and on weekend they do raffle for 2 huge meat platters. Only downside is our room door would rattle with loud noise whenever someone enters downstairs. Pro tip: lean a couch against it to deafen the sound. Also they don't have hair dryer at room.

We are Thai . We had ceremony around there and we lived here 2 nights and I really like your service and hotel,It’s amazing. thank you for champagne and card .I will come back again,see you.

What an absolute dump!!!!!
Wall to wall young idiots, smoking, shouting, full on swearing and carrying on like little children , some clearly drunk hanging off each other…..An absolute disgrace.!
Had to leave, couldn’t handle it…
Staff clearly couldn’t care less, just get the grog into them…. Incredible 😡..worst place I’ve been to in 20 yrs.

This pub is undergoing major renovations at the moment .The pub is still open along with the Bottle shop.

The window of the room faces aircon units. They’re super loud! If you want a quiet room don’t book this place.
Mattress is worn and not comfortable.
There’s no table so the floor is storage.
Otherwise it’s alright. It is clean.

Steak at $28 you would think would be not bad. Over cooked & as dry as sh1t & hard to chew. Ffs get someone that cook if you want repeat business. And maybe get a better supplier. Won’t be back in a hurry.

Stayed in Room 15 for one night only, the air-conditioning woke us up about 1 am, blowing hot air. Plus, the remote was prehistoric & we didn't know how to change any of the settings, so had to turn it off & open all the windows for fresh air 😟
The toilet & bathroom area is very pokey. While sitting on the toilet, the hand basin is in ur face & restrictive.
Also, the shower head sprayed in multiple directions, even out of the cubicle on the floor. Everywhere except where the water was supposed to spray. The water was very hot, but felt like needles digging into the skin 😬
Staff were very helpful, friendly & accommodating, because I booked a room online that didnt have adequate beds for us, but the guy was happy to cancel that booking & check us into another bigger room, at no extra drama. I felt the age & quality of the amenities let the place down overall.

Stayed here for 9nights room was spotless & comfortable.
Staff were A1 professional, courtess, friendly & helpful.
Manager was A1 friendly, professional & helpful.
Local Patrons friendly, atmosphere great.
Food was fantastic.
Under renovations but did not interfere with my stay.
Only downfall my stay came to an end.

Staff were great, bed was comfortable and room clean and tidy. It was a great place to stay with one exception, the cold room motor outside our window was super loud cutting in and our all night. If you can get a room away from the cold room motor I could not fault the place at all.

Room very comfortable and clean.
The head chef lucky cook the most amazing stake I have had in years.
Recommended to everyone travelling through or local to visit

Pretty bloody disappointed. Went down for a family dinner. First off tried calling to book couldn’t get through. Booked online, never went through. We understand that they had an outage, ok suppose that can’t be helped. Then we ordered dinner around 6:35pm. Asked for potato skins (to come out with normal meals as being eaten as a main meal) was told no problem, it came out 15 minutes later. Mean while 3 chicken schnitzel meals and one serve of lamb cutlets. And before you ask, yes trivia was on but there was only about 30 people in total, and about 15 of them ordered AFTER us. They were then served well and truely before us. We then had to ask the waiter what was going on as we ordered before these people. Took her around 10 minutes to come back out to tell us they were coming up now. We waited another 10 minutes from there. The schnitzel I ordered I asked for vegetables as the side. I got 3 pieces of carrot. 3 halves of zucchini, 1 tiny piece of broccoli and 1 tiny piece of cauliflower. The lamb cutlets are supposed to come with mash and broccoli. No broccoli and a tiny bit of mash. We waited over 1 hour to be given the food. Probably 1.5 in total. Was really unhappy with this experience. The foot wasn’t that great especially for the wait. Totally disappointed.

Popped in for lunch with hubby during the week for $10 meals. Great service by staff, nice small outdoor area and a good selection of cheap eats. We ordered the schnitzel and a steak, both dishes came with decent salads and crunchy chips. The steak was superb and cooked as requested which does not always happen at other venues. The only negative was the carpet was a bit smelly so we ate outdoors which was pleasant. Would definitely visit again.

Just had 2 nights here, the room was very clean, and nicely decorated, comfortable bed and quite. Great position. Staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem. Also had a great meal. Very impressed.

Its ok for a overnight stay. Just for sleeping/a quick rest before continuing your trip. Bed was meh, shower was super small and tight. ||||This was a 3 single bed room. Aircon does not work in room 12. ||||Lots of parking though

I have reviewed this restaurant years ago and not favourable. ||However we have been four times in less than four months . The food is fresher and delicious. The manager told me he now uses home made ingredients. Tonight we had the best tender pork ribs ever. The lamb salad very healthy and delicious.|| We have to mention the gorgeous Leanne who makes a massive effort to please every customer. She is amazing . We look forward to seeing each time we visit. ||In fact the staff are great and so are the chefs. ||Keep up the great work . ||Jennie H .

Horrible construction drilling above the room starting at 8am. Impossible to sleep. This is not a hotel and it should not be sold as one for this time being. Very disturbing. Official check-out is 10am, should be 8am as this is the time everyone will be woken up with unbearable noise.

Great staff and great bistro. Feels nice and relaxing with friendly caring staff. Food superb.
Will eat there at every v opportunity. Even bettercwhen Reno's are finished and the floor coverings are restored to nice.
Well done to all bar staff and kitchen staff.

Dropped in for a beer & take away lunch after an appointment. Excellent service, obliging kitchen staff & my linguini boscaiola was ½ full on leaving as I couldn't resist sampling.... delicious!

Cheapest and coldest drinks available in Newcastle
Good customer service but the short blonde lady at the drive thru is very cranky and pushy comes accross a bit rude but she's always under the pump so bravo to all bottle shop workers as it gets very busy

Been going to Belmont Hotel for 15 years or more . Recently went there and ordered a 2x bourbon and coke , asked that the coke be from a can , got charged over 32$ and was told the coke has to be paid for separately, never ever have I been to a place where they charge you for a can of coke when you order a bourbon and coke. Shame, last time il ever spend a cent in there.
