Wonderful experience at the Belmont Hotel! Food is always great and comes out quite fast! Very comfortable seating and has a lovely area to dine in! I would definitely recommend to everyone, and I’ll definitely come here again!
I would also really like to appreciate the young gentleman who waited us the majority of the evening! He was very kind and patient with our table and always has a smile! He had darker hair, longer at the back and I believe a dragon tattoo? It’d be great to know his name as I can be more specific and show a great appreciation for his lovely service!

Where do i start for this place is, 2 people, not to hard to cook for on a raining sunday lunch. ordered a calamari for entree which is to share. First, it was like it was cooked in a cold deep fryer, full of oil and not crispy at all. Second, the portion size for $16.50, what a joke. Picture below. Then ordered main which was parmigiana with veg and mash, steak with chips and salad. They could even put the chips and salad on the right plate. Very disappointed. Never go back.
It's a pity I can't put no stars. 😠

We frequent the Belmont Hotel regularly as it’s local for us. There are many different meals to choose from on the menu including gluten-free options. I’ve tried a variety of plates and they’ve all been really delicious, some of my favourites are the Pork Belly, Salmon, Chicken Schnitzel, Thai Beef Salad and the Gnocchi. Once you’ve ordered, the food doesn’t take too long to come out, even when it’s busy, so no long waits. Prices are also reasonable. Staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient, although a couple of the young ones need to have more eye contact with customers and the room as it can sometimes be troublesome getting their attention, otherwise all good. Atmosphere is very enjoyable and relaxing, but can be extremely loud when busy, making it hard to hear each other talk. All up great place and we will continue to eat there. PS: love the velvet chairs, so comfy.
Unfortunately they don’t open on Mondays anymore, Monday was Parmi night.

We enjoyed a lovely family dinner last Saturday night. The young staff were super friendly, attentive. Credit to staff selection. Shout out to Harvey and thank you to the young lady who looked for my phone.

Very good experience with the Belmont Hotel, the food was delicious and well cooked, staff and location were great!
Not a very large menu but everything on there was done well,
I would recommend it 👌

This is a beautiful old art deco building. It still retains a lot of those features particularly the staircase, chandelier and wall design. The rooftop area is really good; nice views of Geelong and great in warm weather. Sundays are good as they have live music and $10 pints and cocktails.

The venue is well appointed, with tables not too close. The staff are friendly and well versed in the menues. Nothing is a trouble.
Excellent parking is an added bonus.
You will enjoy it as much as we do.

Surprisingly enough this was my first time here for a meal.
Came for lunch and was very impressed.
Service was exceptional, the staff were all smiling and more than egar to help.
Menu was great with a good variety of food and more importantly a great selection of gluten free food.
The temperature outside was 41 degrees the day we were here, however inside was nice and cool and you would never have known how hot it was outside.
I had the calamari salad and my work colleague had the fish and chips.
He gave his a 8/10 and said it just lost marks because the fish was a bit oily and could have been drained longer. But he said it was still delicious.
I'd give my dish a 7.5 / 10 solely because I was expecting the calamari to be pan fried and instead it was dusted in some sort of mixture. But it was still very nice and the serving size was perfect.
I would, sorry I should say, I will definitely be going back to the Belmont Hotel again in the future.

Second time we've been there and is just wonderful. Lovely friendly helpful staff and the food is amazing. Generous portions and cooked beautifully. Highly recommend the salmon and the crab linguine. But to be honest everything all of had was delicious and looking at what others ordered around us I know we'll be back to try more of the meals. Thank you

One could scarcely conceive of a more delightful and epicurean way to spend a winter's Tuesday night in this fair city of Geelong. A crackling fire illuminated the hearth and warmed the tootsies, casting a warm glow upon seductive velvet chairs. Exquisite floral arrangements, complemented by regal poultry art, adorned the space. And then there was the pork belly – a most succulent porcine masterpiece that surpassed any other this sode of the hemisphere. In all regards, a perfect evening for a lonesome rambling man.

Made a booking for 15 people and was told it would be all good & will have tables for us. When I showed up there wasn’t enough seats or tables for everyone so 5 people ended up having to stand for the duration of our time there as all other seats were taken. On arrival also heard who I’m assuming is the manager, a blonde woman yelling at the bar staff telling them off. So unprofessional in front of customers & definitely won’t be coming back!

Love the vibe & art deco styling. Stopped in for lunch, quick and easy with good service. Try the steak sanga and the beef brisket sanga, both well worth it! Nice fireplace and lounge area.

Love the roof top, the staff were very helpful to sort out the problem when our seats were taken by other guests. The steak was nice and the kids menu as well. Little bit disappointed with the Beef Thai Salad where I think it's just a bunch of veggies finished off with sesame dressing.

Hesitant and unprofessional.
We visited this establishment and which we had been to before and had an amazing experience with the staff and food. Unfortunately, our next experience was extremely underwhelming in which we have never experienced as a customer.
We ordered the “Crispy Pork Belly Bites” which we had before and was amazing. This time the pork was soggy and not crispy as they had advertised. After 1 bite each we returned the plate. Upon leaving the staff expressed she “Didn’t see the need to refund”.
As a paying customer I did not appreciate the quality of food and interaction with staff when explaining my concerns. We were made to feel unreasonable for asking for a refund and spoken down to despite to being a paying customer. This is the most horrible experience I have had in hospitality.

Great place for a meal in good location to city center.
We attended for lunch and found the staff to be prompt, professional and with a good knowledge of the menu and wine list.
Good service from the kitchen, fantastic beer batter chips.
Good sized portion meals.
Great Art Deco themed interior.
Left a great impression and good memories of lunch with my friends.
Will attend here again.

Good pub style food with the traditional food items plus some fancier ones. Little bit more price wise than other pubs but not too bad. Good service by the bartender to accommodate both food and changing tv channels to watch the footy.

Food is fine and medium priced. Staff polite although the female Manager was extremely rude to us, aggressively taking away plates on our table, slamming dishes while we were still eating. Not friendly and extremely rude to the bar staff . Berating young bar staff in front of customers. Bullying behaviour, awful to watch . Very unprofessional.

Disappointing lunch last Saturday ... didnt think to take a photo! 😔 Ordered porterhouse med/rare came out in less than 10 mins ... no time to cook it properly. Was cooked well done on the outer and was completely raw on the inside. My friend ordered roasted veg stack came out at the same time but was not roasted .. mushy butternut pumkin..carrots..small amount of broccolini and a little beetroot. Very bland. That cost $30! It was obvious no effort was put into our meals. I asked for my money back for my steak and was accommodated no prob. The young staff were lovely.

Dined Thursday lunch, food was excellent , service incredibly bad, slow inattentive, there was probably about a dozen people in the dining room, After our main course and a glass of wine no one came near us except to clear the table. No offer of a dessert menu, another glass of wine or maybe a coffee.
Their main concern seemed to be resetting tables. Your staff certainly need some training in the hospitality industry and especially how to read a table.
They certainly don’t know how to sell the products you have to offer.

Cozy spot on a winter's night. Large chicken snitz which was cooked perfectly. Service is always fine. Monday night 13 dollar menu, very reasonable.

Chicken Involtini was bland. We both had to add fair bit of seasoning to get any flavour $35
Nutella cheesecake overwhelmingly delicious and presented beautifully. Large portion and good value for $12.
Had to send Soda lime and bitters back to the bar as there was only soda and bitters in the glass. Was extremely small soft drink for $5.
Latté was as expected $5.
Food delivered quickly for such a packed restaurant.
Absolutely terrible acoustics in the restaurant. Couldn’t hear yourself think. Couldn’t hear the waitstaff. Place was packed on a Friday night. Not advisable for an intimate dinner. Maybe go upstairs.
Blonde female drinks staff was very kind and helpful. As was the very tall female waitstaff.

Came for the $10 lunch (Tues - Fri, subject to purchasing a drink). Ordered the mixed grill, which consisted of a (5mm thick) piece of steak, half a sausage, piece of bacon, fried egg (cooked perfectly), half tomato, 2x onion rings, chips and a side of tomato sauce.
Honestly, the only thing that let the meal down, was the steak. By flattening it so thin, it made it really dry and chewy.
The size of the meal was more than enough for lunch and great value for $10, but it can be upsized for an extra $9, which I imagine would make for a HUGE lunch!!
All of the staff, from bar staff, wait staff and servers, were so friendly and polite.
