We stopped for beers and a snack. Good venue for pub grub and watch the Footy. Large dining areas both in and out. Pokies, Keno and the usual betting games available. Also ATM on site. Wheelchair friendly. Kids play area available. We will be back.

We recently held 2 functions at the Benowa Tavern. A 50th Party and the following week a 21st Party. The staff were amazing!! Helpful, friendly, accommodating to all our needs and Mel who was our direct contact was simply brilliant. Great food and a wonderful atmosphere, we have another 21st next year and will be holding that function there without hesitation. I would thoroughly recommend the Benowa Tavern and Mel is the best function coordinator you could wish for, if you are thinking about any kind of celebration!!!

Went here for lunch for my birthday lunch with a friend. Everything was great until I ordered coffee . What coffee serving restaurant doesn't have lactose free. For those that are dairy sensative are not vegetarian want milk without lactose.

We had a girls dinner and I made a booking before hand. The table was reserved. You need to order food and drink at the bar or from the table, but not all options were available on the app. Although the place was full (it was magic millions evening) we didn't have to wait for the food too long. The portions were good and everyone ate everything. It was a lovely dinner with friends.

We arrived for a 70th party last Saturday. I'm a pensioner so we got 2 senior meals. Great value fresh and good sizes. David the Assistant Manager made me a lovely coffee then said its on the house! Belinda took my coffee to my table way out the back as she saw me spilling it a bit and said, " I'll take it for you ". What helpful nice guys these are! Kudos to you all there! We highly recommend the Benowa Tavern for its great food and great staff!

The ambiance of this tavern is very welcoming, charming and kid friendly. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal!
Servers are also great, knowledgeable and always efficient. Always love coming here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in.

Shared a meal with the family at Benowa tavern. It was easy to park which is always a bonus. First impression upon entry was how clean and spacious the dining areas are with options for inside or outside dining
As we were early we decided to buy a drink and sit outside. The area looks over the river and is very serene and peaceful.
Once the family arrived we went inside and ordered. The process is simple just scan the menu bar code on your table and order what you wish to have.
The food was fresh and delicious. I had a steak burger that was made on a soft Turkish roll and had bacon and egg on it as well, the meat cooked to perfection, very tasty.
All meals were delivered to the table hot and ready to eat. Everyone enjoyed the meals
The staff are extremely efficient and friendly.
I did not know about this tavern and have now told friends about and we will return
Go for a meal or a drink and check it out, you will enjoy it.

Really Lovley tavern. My current local.
Have never left here disappointed.
Food is delicious, bar service is fantastic.
The young gentleman named "Hudson" really makes the place shine, friendliness service ever.👏👏👏

Parking and finding the Tavern was easy for a couple of Victorian tourists. We just Googled pubs near us and looked for the best ratings, and this place lived up to its rating. Large dining area that was well presented. There was also a children's play area, pokies and TAB, but we didn't spend any time in these. The food was excellent and reasonably priced and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely eat here again next time we are on the Gold Coast.

Nice pub food was okay. Great for children and free face painting the night we went. Mens toilet roof was dripping water tho and extremely long wait on food due to a function that was also on that was not mentioned apon booking. May return and update review another time.

Lunch was OK, but the back bar was not open. Ordering meals was like the old Coles cafeteria. It was quicker to get drinks from the public bar and then walk all the top the back. The saving grace was the staff. They were great. But just not enough of them.
I think the pricing is a bit high for this type of facility. Other than convenience, I can't recommend it. Just average!!

Kids area is great. Feels like the restaurant needs a little bit of updating.
Kids pizza was ok. Nuggets were a good portion.
The burger my partner had was not the best. He said the Pattie’s were stale and didn’t get caramelised onions but the thick cut raw red onion instead.
My Parmy was cooked well, had to ask to get pineapple on which seemed weird to them for some reason. Overall I doubt we will go back again.

I have never had good service here so I wasn’t happy when my mate suggested it for a coupla mangoes, but sarina really redeemed this place.
She went over and above to ensure our beers were served frothy and cold. 10/10.
Her manager should give her a week paid.

I choose that place for my son’s birthday and it was amazing choice! The food and service was fabulous. I would like to big thank specially for Leticia, Ella, Jolene and (I forgot the guy with curly hair) he was adorable!

Had a birthday here recently. Good food, nice big spaces and catered for what we needed. Special shout out to Daniel at the Terrace Bar. Good service and very attentive. 😊

Great tasting meals at affordable prices. Kids burgers and chips looked fresher and delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat with the family.

Great Pub, Extensive Selection of Beers On Tap. Good Patrons, Friendly Staff, Beaut Dining Area. Has A Good Range of Food At Reasonable Prices. Very Clean Place, Open Till 4am & Plenty Of Parking.

Fresh ala carte food. Delicious. The place was spotless. Very affordable too. The young chap who served us was delightful and courteous.

For the prices they charge for food as if they are a 4star+ restaurant, it should be miles better. I got my food served to me with a bug crawling around in the salad. $28 for a palmy and you can't even ensure the food is clean? I will never come back. I'd rather go to woolies and buy a scotch fillet for $14 (half the price) and have cleaner and better food. Greedy/dirty pub.
Edit: They never offered me a replacement meal because I didn't ask for one. I needed to leave soon and just discarded the part of the salad the bug was in. Don't lie to make your place look better. You just keep digging like the bug that was digging into my salad lol.

First time my family have ever been here and we're all very disappointed. Our son got his meal within 15min of ordering, however my partner and I had to wait almost an hour for our meals. We were told they were really busy, (but others who came in after us were served) then we were told my meal (lasagna) took longer........then the meals come. My lasagna had hard crusts, my salad didn't even have any dressing on. My partner had a waygo beef burger and the meat was so dry he couldn't eat it. The floor manager Sharon was most apologetic and gave our boy a free icecream, and asked us to come back. But damage done. Did get partial refund.

Bonowa Tavern has a great atmosphere. The tables were clean and tidy, the playground was clean and the staff were friendly and service was awesome.
Food was great, serving sizes were big and we all left happy and full. The kids loved the menu options and enjoyed the playground.

Best pub said 4 years ago. As a level 8 Google guide for 10 years I do not give bad reviews for restaurants. Because 2 much can go wrong. Purveyor of produce, Chef & staff. But this week I was disappointed. My barra meal was barra 2 inches triangular. Looks bigger in photo but compare to chip basket. $25 A decent sized barra would feed 8 of this size. unfortunately this is my closest tavern

Benowa Tavern is a fantastic Family Friendly venue, with Great Food and excellent prices. I love the place when entertaining friends n family. Always a great day to be had when I patron the Benowa Tavern.

All round, pretty darn good!
Food seemed a little pricey on the menu, but when it arrived the portion suited the cost.
The steak was cooked perfectly! The calamari was cooked perfectly! The chips and prawns were just right. The salads were delicious!!
There was a wait of about 40 mins between ordering and food arriving at the table, which is fine.
Only reasons for 4/5 stars is because:
1. The waiter brought over two kids drinks after I ordered and paid for 3. I waited 15 mins then had to go to the bar to pick up the missing one.
2. The food off the grill tasted of old grease. Not horrible, but could be avoided with a clean.
3. The booking system reserved us a table, but when we arrived the staff had no idea and had to quickly clean off a recently vacated table with not enough seats. Good thinking on their part, but still an annoying adjustment for customers, having children sit on laps rather than their own seats.
4. The "online" menu has some pretty bad and confusing photography and descriptions.
Otherwise a great night out!!

After some unpleasant dining experiences I was hoping a good pub meal would do the trick and Benowa Tavern did not let me down.
Easy online booking system and we’re seated quickly next to a rowdy group of lads so asked if we could move - no dramas at all.
Ordering system is at the table via the QR code.
Was told before searing that mains were 40min wait so ordered starters immediately.
Oysters Kilpatrick were delicious. Got the chicken schnitzel for dinner and swapped over the salad with coleslaw. The slaw had a funny taste to it but didn’t ruin the meal.
Hot fresh and delicious! Staff were friendly and efficient. Will be back
