You simply have to try the food here as it is absolutely fantastic. Plenty of beers on tap plus anything else you might want. Make sure you are hungry though as the meals are huge!!!
Anyway off to check out the dessert bar now.......

What a lovely club. Our veterans association was granted the use of a meeting room, and the staff were a pleasure to deal with. The facilities are expansive and of a very high quality. We hope to meet here again.

Went with a group of family friends for dinner. Very disappointed with my meal. Porthouse Steak. Ordered well done and received medium. Steak was almost a third fat. Complained to waiter and nothing was done. Had to order another meal at my expense because I was hungry. So much for a happy night. Happened a while ago with another friend and again nothing done by management. Cheltenham RSL a lot better.

Went here for a function and liked the place. Easy to find next to Bentleigh Woolworths and as not a member, needed to show drivers licence to get in. They had a big display of Easter egg baskets for raffle so brought 10 $1 tickets (fingers crossed!). Then went in for meal and had vegetarian Nasi Goreng which was really nice, while husband had fish and chips. There is lots of seating and they also have a private dining room. Though alas also have dreaded pokies. 17.4 here for meeting and looks like place getting a facelift, interested to see it. 22.5 the dining area has had a facelift and looks great, they've also updated tge menu and added 2 new meals for vegetarians like me, fantastic!

We have been coming to this RSL for over 20 years. We have seen many changes and many menus. We were here on Tuesday night for dinner and today Thursday for lunch. I am impressed with the standard and consistency of excellent service, food served and management. A special thank you to Bec who looked after us. We will be dining here more often now and just hope that you can maintain the excellent standard achieved.

We had my daughter’s 3rd birthday there on Sunday, with 25 people. The staff were amazing and did such a great job with serving food and drinks and service was 5 start. Food was delicious with everyone getting all their meals at the same time and everyone said how nice their meals were. Thank you for making my little ones birthday so easy and enjoyable.

Visited 17/10 with 2 kids (4 and 6). Lovely evening had. Started with a very warm welcome from a lovely lady at seating. Even said hi to the children! The new renovations are very inviting, lovely warm colours, clean and very fresh and just so appealing. Multiple sitting areas include booths, tables and seating near the playground. Playground could use a Reno next as I think parents like bringing kids here. The food was great, wonderful size portions compared to some other dining venues, kids were really happy with fish and nuggets and chips. We had the lamb pie and fish and chips. Good dishes! Kids get ice creams and drinks inc. great touch and great offer to bring parents back again and again. We had free children’s meals for paying parents on Tuesdays and use a voucher with no issue. Will come back a lot and love seeing my children’s friends on the last 3 occasions we have been. Great venue, highly recommend!!!!!

The security guard at the gaming venue, the tall derelict looking one. Why don’t you make your mind up, fighting with people over I.D to harassing them in the venue, to then you don’t know them… you are a glorified receptionist. Come off your high horse. Degenerate.

The food is huge... OMG, order your Parma as a share..

The club is now fully renovated. The dinning room is bright and light. Today is the start of Christmas in July. A well presented yummy 2 course dinner. See my photos. Great parking out the back. Staff very friendly and we would give the menu 9.9 out of 10. Also very cosy on a cold winters day.

Really nice place...haven't been before. Organised our basketball presentation there and we had a V.I.P room. 😉 very friendly staff good food, definitely will be back.

Last night, I had the chance to dine at the Bentleigh RSL with a large family group. The establishment was inviting, clean, and festively decorated with a Christmas theme. We took part in the $1 raffle, an attractive offer, and purchased some tickets. It was a relatively quiet evening with the venue at about 30% capacity.
We decided on the Wednesday special, which included a $25 pot and Parma. Unfortunately, our order was split; half arrived promptly, while the other half was delayed and only brought to our table after a 30-minute wait and a follow-up inquiry. Despite the wait, the meal itself was satisfying with good portions, delivering value for money. Taking into account the entire experience, I would rate the venue 4 stars.

I’m not a great fan of RSL restaurants and this was no exception. However, I give them a big 👍🏻 for the very friendly staff, excellent service, and fast food. Even if the food wasn’t quite up to my standard we had a fantastic time.

I like the venue, which is great for families, young and old. I usually like to food, but the 3 Mexican parmas we ordered last night were a disappointment. All three meals were chewy and lukewarm. The cheese and napoli sauce was dry as if these meals had been cooked hours ago and left on a hot plate. Clearly not freshly cooked as they were served within 10 minutes. I'm more than happy to wait longer for a good meal. Such a waste of a good sized schnitzel and 3 x $30!
My daughter asked for lettuce on her cheeseburger. This request was rejected by the kitchen staff. Is it really that hard to add a leaf of lettuce to a burger??
On a positive note, there are plenty of beers on tap and the drinks are reasonably priced compared to other pubs.

I have lived in the area for many years and I cannot believe I have only just visited here for dinner recently. The meals are lovely and the staff were friendly. My only criticism was that we had asked for all meals to come out at the same time (including kids meals) and although acknowledged at the time of ordering, the meals came out with kids well before the adult mains. Otherwise, my meal was delicious and everyone enjoyed theirs too.

Humble, an honor each time I step inside and it’s wonderful to have the traditional minute silence at 18:00 to Remember Them. Time stands still and every person switches off devices and pays respect.
Meals are fast to you but great size, variety and delicious. So many happy feels here!

Had 300g porter house steak with mushroom sauce, chips and salad. Was very tasty, the others I was with also enjoyed there food.
This is my second time here and I recommend it if you want a more casual environment. Oh also has a child play area.

Great Gluten free menu options, just really lack any flavour at all. I had the spaghetti marinara, it was as if someone had cut the pasta in 2cm pieces quite disappointing when you pay $32
Don’t use the app to order… management don’t even know how to use it.

Fantastic feed, excellent service, gluten free, and fully coeliac accredited! Had a wonderful dinner here with the family on Melbourne Cup day. Surprised it was relatively quiet, but I guess that's because everyone had a big lunch to watch the race. Easily booked online, the waitress was very nice and attentive, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be coming back again.

Dinner ordered at 730pm and served at 830pm
Besides the long wait, service by the cashier called Myles was excellent, and he went to the trouble to doublecheck that my meal did not include any garlic or onion in any of the ingredients. We had a seniors, chicken schnitzel with mash potato and veggies and also a barramundi chips and salad, tasty and very enjoyable meal. Grinds has a eggplant Parma and seniors barramundi.
Renovations and decor is lovely. After dinner, we had coffees in the lounge area next to a fireplace and chatted for a couple of hours in a relaxed atmosphere. Winning a few dollars on the pokies, added to the fun evening at this RSL.
Another note .. a gluten free menu is available and is pretty much the same as a normal menu.

All ways dined at restaurant and bar sometimes. The staff and the friendly service is outstanding. Not to mention the beef and vegetables soup special. And the linguine marinara is delicious.. big thank to the chef and restaurant and bar staff .. keep up the good work..

After been coming to this venue for quite some time I noticed less and less people coming back. I can understand why. Every now and then while playing the pokies i noticed a couple of staff members watching me.that made me feel very uncomfortable. After that I started to lose big time. Quite a lot of my friends experienced the same thing.they told me they not going back there anymore..they told me the staff working there 're dishonest. And I intend to agree with them. I too won't be going back there. And I urge everyone to do the same thing and that is don t go back there. Also the food there is not that good as well. You've been warned.
