While the Inn itself can feel a little gloomy inside, the people, food, and excellent experienced service will brighten up your night. So lets break it down…
Atmosphere: ***
It’s okay but could be enhanced. There is a nice little outdoor area to soak up the sun and kick back with your mates while sinking a few – but in some respects the décor encourages a loose crowd. Nothing wrong with that, but adding some more potted greenery to lift the shine, may encourage a little more reserve. Inside was better but it was really dark which gave the interior a really gloomy feel about it with the low colours and wood trimming, with a little brighter globes the place will feel warmer and comfortable.
Aside from the above, the place was well maintained, clean and lively.
Customer Service: *****
It was a Wednesday night and it was very busy (7:00PM rush). All staff were exceptional, from the greeting, to the bar staff to the service representatives. Everyone was organised, friendly and really trying to ensure all their customers were having a great time.
Ordering was through a QR code but you could order at the counter if you like.
We ordered entrees & mains and expected the food to be a little delayed. Entrees were out within 10 minutes and the mains 30 minutes after that, which is still pretty reasonable for packed house of 120+ patrons.
All the mains were delivered hot and ready to eat, plus all at the same time. It was very courteous of the serving rep to ask if anything was missing, well done.
Lastly, the table was cleared about 5-10 minutes after eating and we were asked after our meal. Excellent.
Food (Why we are here): ****
Order: Cheesy Garlic Bread (entrée), Salt & Pepper Calamari (entrée), Chicken Parmigiana, Vegetarian Stir Fry with Chicken, Garlic Prawns (GF) & Pork Cutlet.
Cheesy Garlic Bread – Must Try! Delicious!
Salt & Pepper Calamari – Was good, not great – little over cooked.
Chicken Parma – Very nice, good flavour, not overly crumbed, good size piece of chicken. Chips could have been better but the salad was great.
Vegetarian Stir Fry with Chicken – Really good, the flavour wasn’t too overpowering and wasn’t too greasy either.
Garlic Prawns (GF) – Must Try! A dish worthy of the name, The sauce was really well done and really brought out the prawns!
Pork Cutlet – Must Try! The sweetness of the honey mustard sauce mixed with the proper flame charring of the Pork cutlet was outstanding, even the broccolini and sweet potato. It all mixed together brilliantly.
Overall: While the décor did let us down a little; the local vibe of patrons, the food and the excellent service is certainly a reason to get down here. If only for the garlic prawns or the pork chop dishes. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our evening meal at the Berwick Inn Hotel. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was as you would expect from a pub and was good value. The atmosphere was lively, and there were numerous dining and drinking areas to choose from.

Visited first time since the renovations, was very impressed. Was there for a function, nice spaces, well segregated rooms, pleasant staff and nice food.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly service.Staff member Keri was very helpful.. Berwick is very lucky to have her in their team.

The venue itself was great, we sat in the area away from the main hall. I think it was called the ‘Common Room’.
We visited for a birthday dinner with my family.
You can order directly from your website table via QR code, but we found that to be tedious and ordered our drinks and food from the bar itself in the main area.
The bar service was good and most of the staff were friendly.
The food however……..
Compliments to the chef are in order!
Every dish we ordered was made to perfection! Not a single complaint or comment from anyone at our table. Trust me when I say that some are very fussy eaters.
My steak was rare-medium, and cooked to perfection. All the steaks were soft, the prawns were fresh and the beers cold!
We will certainly come back to patronise this establishment. Don’t know why we’ve not been here before….

The newly renovated Berwick Inn looks amazing and the Garden Bar is next level, We just had Christmas lunch and it was delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, thank you to all who made this special day even more special

Steak from the grill poorly cooked. The service was terribly slow....25 minutes. Then.....we were told to ring out our own water from the cashier to our table. YOU DO NOT DO THAT!!! Shocking service for a tavern!! Oh yes...over prized for a lousy service and food. If I had an option....no star!! If they value their customer service, I like to think we be compensated for a terrific first time.e customer experience

Really disappointed. If you are gluten free don’t bother. Basically only steak or salmon. I understand that places don’t like to say gluten free if not a gluten free kitchen. Here it’s called Gluten Reduced - which I’m sorry is not a thing. Had to sit and watch my whole family eat dessert as there is no gf options - no flourless anything. No drinks menus on tables. Waited over an hour for food. Had to ask for table to be cleared. This is about to be our local so hopefully one day if you update your menu (which I believe you just have) we might try again.

Our visit to Berwick Inn for a casual evening of beers and food surpassed our expectations. Despite some less favorable reviews we had encountered earlier, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The dishes we ordered were not only satisfying but also exceeded our expectations.

Ordered the salmon. Potatoes and beans were great but my salmon was extremely overcooked and dry. (Couldn't eat it) If you want the salmon make sure you order it rare or medium rare otherwise they will overcook it.

Lovely pub. They’ve done a great job renovating. The beer garden was lovely and so was the inside. The food was amazing and such a great price. Would definitely recommend.

Loved it there. The only criticisms l have are these.
The young male staff member was VERY casual.
We had to ask all the questions, instead of the staff member, being informative.
If you only LIKE tomatoes,
then DON'T order, the vine tomato risotto.
It was like eating a full bottle of tomato sauce.
Definitely tomato overload.
There were 4-5 full cherry tomatoes, in it as well.
The after taste is terrible.
I did however, see some truly beautiful looking meals being served and would order very differently next time.
I hope they change the risotto recipe, to something more traditional because although l have criticised the taste, it was still a substantial serve, cooked well and presented beautifully.
Having said all that, l would highly recommend, this beautiful pub to everyone.

Just had a meal at the Berwick Inn and walked away with a smile on my dial. Well proportioned meals that are simple, delicious and well priced. Great job to the wait staff and staff behind the bar for speedy and efficient service.

I went last night and ordered the chicken satay skewers which came out raw! I had to wave down a waitress and ask them if they could cook it a little bit longer , she came back out with the meal and said the head chef said it was cooked, to which I replied could they just cook it a bit longer. Everyone at my table had finished eating and plates were getting cleared which then we had to wave down another waitress and ask where my meal was which came out shortly. It was still very noticeable pink. I didn’t get offered a free drink or desert for my wait. It wasn’t an enjoyable meal. Such a shame because the Berwick inn has always been a fan fave, I won’t be back. Bad food and poor service.

I visited the Berwick Inn Hotel's restaurant over the weekend and had a fantastic time. The Greek lamb salad was perfectly seasoned, and the popcorn chicken special was a delightful treat.
The decor matched the paint colour well, though I found the jazz music and mirrors in the back a bit odd. However, the atmosphere remained pleasant.
Special thanks to the man with glasses who was always smiling and provided excellent service. Overall, a great experience and I look forward to returning soon.

Hubby's had chef special, whole flounder, not impressed cost $40.00. cold in the middle, only ate half.
I had chicken avocado wrapped with bacon, very tasty in the centre, if only it wasn't over cooked, which caused it to be too dry, even though it was served with a tasty sauce.
Update: Management stated below comment their confusion as to when we were at their establishment, citing that the above dishes have not been on the menu recently.
If you call Thurs 6th June, 3 weeks ago, not recent then they are right.
It was for lunch and both dishes were on the Chef's recommendation menu for that day. I hope this now clears their confusion.

Have to say very pleasantly surprised with our recent visit. Dropped in for lunch food was excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere very comfortable. Use to be a regular there for many years but stopped going a few years ago as we found it expensive and gloomy. Renovations have certainly made a massive improvement and very nicely done. Prices are good in comparison with other venues. This Inn used to be the most expensive but not any more which is great. Aaron behind the bar still there and has been for years, nice to see a familiar face. Good job Berwick Inn

Had a pretty average night and left feeling extremely dissatisfied. My friends and I were cut off after 3 drinks as apparently we were to rowdy yet others around us were a ton louder.
Even had a local approach us after seeing us complaining to a manager about our treatment.
The local couldn't believe how we were treated over other patrons.
The only good experience was the young blonde girl behind the bar. Summer was amazing, her customer service was out of this world and she allowed us to feel comfortable being there after what we endured.
Summer if you read this thankyou for your kindess, support and amazing service. You are a great asset to the team here!!

Had a great family meal for lunchtime. The seating was comfy although it was a tad noisy in the main dining room. The staff were friendly and responsive. One downside was the ordering as the folks couldn't work out the seniors on the QR code. The rest of us used QR ordering - the meals came out apart, with our entrees arriving practically with the mains.
But the food was great. And the pokies were good fun too. Would definitely go back.
Meals shown here are the steak sandwich & vegetarian parma.

Great venue with great service. Hard to find places like this these days.
Food was really tasty and good value as well.
I'll definitely be returning with the family for dinner or with the boys to watch the footy in the beer garden on the giant screen.

Great meal with fresh fish, veggies, chips, tartare and glass of wine all for a great price. Definitely will be coming back for another dinner with friends highly recommend the food. Everyone on our table enjoyed their food.

Food was good. Three of us for dinner, unfortunately two of our main courses and two of our desserts listed on the menu were unavailable so just had to go with something else. Very helpful staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Food was average but a bit expensive. My partner got full rack of ribs and that was delicious but he said there wasn't much meat on the bone. My chicken was juicy but the vegetable was a bit bland

First time at Bewick inn. Amazed on the customer service from Angus he deserves a raise speaks with manner and is outstanding at what he does. Will be coming back again. If it’s your first time going make sure he takes care of you as he mixes the best drinks 👌🏾 cheers Angus

Fantastic establishment, would recommend a visit.
One of the better run taverns in the state. Excellent modern interior with plenty of tables available - lots of natural lighting and outdoor areas.
Prices are reasonable, good range at the bar with interesting on-tap options as well as cocktails. Can order through QR Code or directly through staff via table service.
Staff were knowledgeable, attentive and helpful big ups to both the bar staff and servers. Will be coming back

After what had been a bit of a disappointing first trip.
I’ve since been back multiple times and they’ve been fantastic. Steak on the last 3+ occasions has been perfect and service great.
The renovation looks very nice and highly recommend the food here.

3 of us plus child just had an extremely disappointing experience at the Berwick in hotel. We ordered food through the QR codes and paid before other tables ordered at the bar. They received their food before we did. After 1 hour wait, we finally received some nuggets and chips, I was told our food is coming up on the pass now which wasn’t true at all, and after another 30 mins of waiting for our meals we decided to call it quits, get a refund and go somewhere else.
Really disappointing especially having a child with us, and myself being pregnant, we were very hungry. I understand it can get busy, but to serve people food after we ordered our food, then constantly lie to us about when it’s coming. Do not use their QR codes to order your meals, the system is pathetic and doesn’t work.
