You can’t go wrong with the Express lunch at the Blackburn Hotel. Great value, perfect size for lunch. But I’d avoid the QR ordering - it’s a bit glitchy.

Usual large eastern suburbs pub deal. Bistro, sports bar, that sort of stuff. The place was nice, roomy and relatively quiet mid afternoon and mid week. Staff were good. My wine was acceptable. The place was ok. I found myself liking it. Not much else I can add.

Upon entry I was pleasantly surprised by the renovations, decor and ambience. The open plan layout was well thought out with areas clearly defined. The menu had some nice food offerings. Staff were very nice and service was very good.

The food was fine and nothing special and just standard pub food and a bit pricey. The schnitzel that I ordered was okay but not that tasty. The general consensus of the group I was with was not great about this place.
We dined in the restaurant area and the bar staff appeared disinterested and not that friendly and you have to go up and order your food.
Would I go back..probably not.

Staff not smiling, rehearsed greeting, food very very average.
Not presented well and definitely overcooked. Had chicken burger, bun burnt and bacon overcooked.
Put $50 in one of the poker machines and it did not register.
Now I need to wait till Wednesday to get it back. Told staff to look at the camera footage.
Young man in gaming room did a great job, explaining my circumstances and was friendly with a smile.

Sadly the seniors turkey dinner was less than acceptable. The accompanying vegetables were not even slightly cooked they were thick and raw and inedible. I like raw veges but couldn't even eat them they were totally impenetrable. The turkey was tender but didn't taste like turkey. If I didn't know I would have mistaken it for sliced pork. Such a disappointment after being delighted that the menu had a Christmas favourite.

Our round of golf put us over on to this side of the city this week, I haven't been to the Blackburn in years. Super impressed with the Express lunch offer, great value for money. Often roasts are so hit and miss in pubs, but this one was tender, juicy and delicious. Next time I won't leave it as long between drinks!

Not a bad place , bit overpriced for the food , good gaming venue, friendly staff....
Edit , I thought I give the grill bar bisto part ago today, The service was great friendly warm welcomed. The chefs seem like they knew what their doing ,but it was just all looks , I was impressed how well the food looked until I tried it , it was very chewy and dried like its been cooled down and reheated , The meals are up there in price so I expect it to be good but it was far from it, Fair to say I won't be coming back to the bistro part. Also what was pretty disappointing is that they had a decent range of steaks to choose from but don't have garlic butter,

Nice pub, even though I miss the original. Food is good but very pricey. Sports bar would be better without the damn TAB.
Oh! I wish it had an outdoor fresh area to sit, eat and enjoy drinks with friend and family without having to breathe in vile cigarette smoke 🤮🤢

Millie was incredible, looking after our needs and making sure we were comfortable. Really appreciated her professionalism and that she checked in on us to make sure we were happy, given we had some special needs.

It was so cold we ate our meal and left and so did 5 other people.
The manager (who was pleasant) tried to fix it but to no avail.
This issue needs addressing as it was not a cold night outside, it was warmer than the interior of the hotel!

I celebrated my 21st birthday in the Atrium Bar at the Blackburn Hotel and it was an amazing night!
The venue and its atmosphere was perfect. The flexible and open floor plan made it easy for people to mingle, dance and enjoy themselves. It was modern, clean and well kept, and easy to fit what I wanted. The hotel was also easy for all of our guests to find, with plenty of parking available.
The staff at the Blackburn Hotel were exceptional, from the moment we enquired, to the times we visited and the party itself, we were greeted with outstanding service. The event coordinators were incredibly helpful, ensuring that every detail was taken care of and helping the night run smoothly. Could not thank Matthew, Kenzie, Hannah, Aidan and Victoria enough!!!
There was a delicious range of finger food that catered to all tastes and dietary needs, and the bar offered a good selection of drinks. Additionally, the audio-visual setup was useful, with Bluetooth music connection, screens for a slideshow and a microphone for speeches. There was plenty of space for dancing, and the outdoor patio area was a great addition for guests who wanted a quieter spot to chat (or to watch the footy 😂).
The Atrium Bar at the Blackburn Hotel exceeded all my expectations and made my 21st birthday a memorable event. The beautiful venue, outstanding service and excellent food and drinks, made for a perfect night. I cant recommend the Blackburn Hotel enough for anyone looking to host a special event!

Half of the table received their meals and finished. We are still waiting as I write this. Pathetic service. Additionally mixed up orders and ran out of the toast of the day. Shocking!!! Was my birthday. Put a real dampener on our night.
When we asked where our meals were. They clearly forgot as someone said just making them now.

Great welcoming from Milly at the reception. Accommodated a change of table and special dietary requirements. The food is greatly prepared and served. Shame that the entrance door is so close that we got that freezing draft every time someone was coming in or out.

Food is decent. Had a scotch fillet. Others had fish and chips and lamb backstrap. Lamb was pretty tough. Steak was OK. Overall the food was not as good as a couple years ago.

Extremely disappointing experience overall.
Decided to go out for a pub meal with the family but in hindsight we wish we didn't go.
There is no real service to speak of and what little service there is, is of a quite curt and uninterested nature.
We got there and had no one welcome us or show us to our table, when we were sitting down a woman hurried past and quite rudely stated "the kitchen closes in one hour so you better order quickly".
We weren't given any menus or anything and instead had to find a QR code scanner that didn't work (page would timeout on all devices)
After walking to the counter to order they pointed to the menus and told us to pick them up and come back to order.
After doing so we had to wait at the bar for 5 mins for someone to come and take our order.
The food came quickly but was obviously frozen as the fish and chips were very bland and had no flavour at all. The chicken Schnitzel was very dry and hard and also lacked flavour.
The ribs looked juicy and tender but sadly despite being tender the sauce lacked any flavour and just tasted like Heinz barbeque sauce.
We asked for some condiments like tobacco or chilli flakes and after 5 mins we were told they didn't have any.
Food was very pricey for the serving size and quality of food as well
I definitely wouldn't go back here, an extremely disappointing experience and not one that I would recommend to anyone.

Excellent service by James! He was attentive, very polite, and helped my friend and me choose what to eat. 10/10 – I would return just for his service!

Came in for a business lunch and we had an outstanding experience. Such great service and food. Big shout out to Matthew for his service and ensuring we had a great experience.

Came here to celebrate our anniversary. Ordered the steak and wine special. The chips and sauce were nice. But the steak was very very tough. Very disappointing. Won't ever order this again.

Bar staff Hannah and Chryssa (and others) doing Karaoke at the end of the night was awesome. Great atmosphere and great way to finish the night. (Not bad singing just quietly) A breath of fresh air - great to see the staff enjoying their work.

All food was super tasty and reasonably prices, quick and friendly service. QR code at table made for ease of ordering. Grest atmosphere and space to watch the footy. Comfortable.

A good place for casual dining and drinking. The bowl of chips in the bar are great. The only downside is the service. I always try to get served by one of the guys as most of the girls behind the bar here have an attitude.

A friend and I had dinner and drinks here last Saturday evening. Lovely drinks and good service. We ordered steaks, one rump steak, and a steak sandwich. Very disappointed with the steaks as they were very tough. The rest of the food was very nice. In my opinion, the steaks were well below the standard that they should be..
