We went in for a few drinks and to play pool ended up getting a pizza for dinner which was bloody awesome

Wednesday Karaoke was awsome, lots of good singers, friendly atmosphere, plenty of opportunity to sing, i sung like 3 songs and my wife 7 songs. The people running the karaoke were friendly and organised. Will go back again.

Was recently told the business was under new management and was curious to see the new changes. Des was nothing short of friendly and professional and the way other patrons spoke about him showed that he's clearly made a big impact and change to the old pub. The food was delicious and well priced and I'm pleased to say my opinion on the venue has definitely changed for the best. Well done for all the hard work put into bringing the place back up to a friendly and inviting impression. will be back again soon with more patrons in tow 👍

Very clicky and judgemental to out of town people. Made to feel very uncomfortable. Too much gossip goes on from the locals.

Low key drinking place..
Has all the basics for a bawdy pub and not much extra..
Multi room ale house with basic décor and the ambiance to match..
Popular with the "men" who like to sport with the skimpies...

Kitchen being renovated so no food but new owners are starting to turn this place around. Good pubtab for a drink and bet. New chef incoming apparently.

Just popped in for a drink at the boat house taven with some mates. It's a propper working man's bar great for a beer. Had a good laugh can recommend it. Shout out to Dave and Helen thanks guys.

its a pub that had a reputation as being rough 15 to 20 years ago but certainly doesnt deserve it now. the facilities and service are certainly first class, and one of the few that still welcome people in 'hi-vis' no matter what the time. i highly recommend this place which is generally underrated and recommend it to people from all walks of life as somewhere that they will be respected and greeted with the best of service. full marks

I have never seen any anti social behaviour at this venue, and the karaoke is quality sound and supportive crowd!

If you want to.make it family friendly why keep Skippy's

Great Tavern, grab a pint and maybe have a bet. Friendly locals and wonderful staff. If you're down this way well worth a look!

Great little hidden bar. May not be flash, but the food was reasonable and drinks cheap. Service was great.

Great atmosphere. The barmaid, Mel, was so efficient and definitely made us feel welcome. Look forward to our next session at the Boathouse.

Back in the late 70's early 80's Mandurah was a destination for me that built memories and cherished moments, it was a familiar beacon of great vibes and a constant of fun and connection.
Des and family along with chef Phineas have created a great family vibe at the Boathouse and every time I head down there it's like going home
Great food, great service and an atmosphere that revives great memories of good quality times
Do yourself a favour, whether it's banging out a karaoke tune on a Wednesday night or a casual night out, get down and check it out

Australian traditional pub. Regular clientele and extremely friendly like the staff. The first time they thought we were lost and now it's like home. Skympie on the weekend in the afternoon 😏
