We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to the Bonny Hills Hotel
We were with a group of 10 and had dinner all of us enjoyed it and decided that we put it on our list for another night out.
And at the end of the evening we were greeted by some of the local wildlife such as a few kookaburra's and a bandicoot looking for leftovers

We went here for dinner and was not impressed. The bartender that served us was rude, didn’t even greet us then asked for our ID’s and judged our photos. The steak my friend ordered was meant to be well done… and the place was dirty. A uniform standard would we nice too as 1 of the servers was wearing short denim shorts… a member of the band was drunk also. What a joke of a hotel.

We visited to meet friends to have a few drinks and a meal. It was a great night out.
The drinks were cold, the meals were enjoyable and quite filling.

Went to watch a band Sunday afternoon, great spot out back..
Only issue possibly new staff, meal orders incorrect.
FYI...Warning ⚠️ signs need to be posted out back as the Kookaburras will take your food off the table, they are not scared at all..they replaced the customers food which was a nice gesture.

Well let’s say the place wins because of the people not the food.
We got the free bus that was amazing, the guy was local and very friendly
He picked us up and drop back after drinks and dinner
We ordered the T-bone steak and the scotch fillet. Both were super extra raw and kind of old tasty meat. I know the covid it’s not helping much the local pub and stock that was unfortunately as the waitress and everyone on the pub were very nice. Also the prices were little bit more expensive than the online menu but the menu still the same. At that day they didn’t have much outside of the menu like a special of the day or so.
Nice atmosphere outside if I was there just for drinks I would give 5* but the food need a huge improvement :/

Well done guys at Bonny Hills Hotel tonight, just love to support local. Food delicious, (seafood platter & barramundi with prawns) plus won a complimentary free meat raffle from Millie Hill Meats @ Kempsey...good on you guys. Special thanks to Chef David & team plus friendly & engaging restaurant & bar staff all round. We will tell our family & friends... will be back🙂

We (four of us) had just arrived at Brigadoon holiday park in North Haven after a long drive south, set up camp and were looking for somewhere to eat.
We called up the Bonny hills hotel and Trevor from the hotel promptly picked us up from the holiday park and took us to the hotel, during the transfer we had many questions for Trevor with regards us heading to Perth to which he had some valuable information to help us on our trip. He knows the best local fishing spots too 😉
On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Erin working behind the bar who asked us how our day has been and promptly served us our order of drinks from a wide and varied selection.
On asking about food Erin pointed us in the direction of the chef's specials and menu's. Whilst looking at the specials board the chef came over to greet us, asked how we were and informed us in detail what his specials were.
We placed our order for steak salad and frites, lamb cutlets and two chicken snitzel.
The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) with a wonderful sauce, the lamb cutlets were done in breadcrumbs which came with again a different but equally tasty sauce which perfectly complimented the lamb. Both chicken snitzel s were made short work of....
On finishing our meal Trevor took us back to the holiday park and again was very helpful with us asking for more information regarding our future travels.
If in the area, make a point of visiting the Bonny hills hotel and tavern, you will not be disappointed....... Andy, Bobby, Roberta and Karen thank you Erin, Trevor and the staff of the hotel for a wonderful meal and answering our many questions 😉

Vusiting from Melbourne and enjoyed the very nice night at Bonny Hills Beack Hotel. The only thing that could be improved is the amount of staff to serve through busy times. It did take sometime for me to be served in the bottle shop. This did not detract from what was a great experience, fantastic food and very helpful staff. There is a very good selection of gluten free meals and even gluten free fish in batter. I would not hesitate to go back again.

The food was nice, but expensive for what you got. Very small portions, and it was an extra $5.00 if you added chips. The drinks were overpriced, charging $5.50 for a can of coke. It definitely wasn't value for money 😕

The food is absolutely amazing! Also the food is cooked perfectly, The workers are awesome and nice! I ordered a scotch fillet stake and is the best stake I have ever had! I also ordered the salt and pepper squid and was perfect, highly recommended meal! Great food!

Ribs and wings combo for $28 was fantastic and great value (Thurs night special). Crumbed steak special was good without being great. Service is fantastic, friendly and energetic vibe around the place. Bistro/restaurant is around the back past the bottle shop - including a nice little kids playground. Front has pool table, more seating, bar etc. Plenty of parking and they do a free shuttle bus from the general area for a stress free experience.

Ordered my Menulog order within the scheduled times for delivery as stated on the site. They took my order took my money then ignored it. Now I have to fight with Menulog to get a refund. If your not offering the service why have it turned on.

My wife and I had lunch today at the tavern Steak chips and salad and a chicken snitty chips and salad .Steak was absolutely amazing cooked exactly as I like it salad dressing was amazing as well as the Dianne sauce .Staff all so professional and friendly will definitely be back and a nice atmosphere You guys did an excellent jobs thanks tothe cook Robert and his staff Sonia &Anthony

Great vibes if you are expecting a nice country pub. Good menu with huge space outside. There are only limited spaces at the front if you are planning on taking your fur friends with you. We aren’t able to get a seat on our first day but were able to go the following day as we stayed close. We had bangers and mash and roast of the day which were epic!

Good beers selection.
Plenty of outdoor seating.
Even a bottleshop to get some takeaways.

Great pub ,great people ,great food ,went there on way up the coast and back there on way back to Sydney . Court the bus there and back from where we were staying it was quick to pick us up and quick to take us back to our location very friendly bus driver . Highly recommend this pub

Great place to meet, dine and socialize. Would give 5/5 but they just need to have more live music outside and not inside the pub. Oh, and pleeeease bring back the CHURROS!!!!!

Courtesy bus to pick up and drop off from the caravan park was a bonus. Friendly staff, very relaxing sitting near fire, the food was excellent and highly rate the ribs.

Been in New Zealand for over a week and couldn’t wait to get back home to the Tav to get a decent feed. Had the Rib Eye Special and best feed ever. Thank guys

Beautiful traditional pub with great food!! We took advantage of the courtesy bus from the caravan park at North Haven. Staff was very friendly! We could watch the chefs prepare the meals and you could tell how passionate they were. Such a great night.

As visitors to Bonny Hills found that the only place open for dinner on Sunday was the pub. When we arrived there was a group of musos playing great music and they played thru until 9pm. We had a great meal and wines at very modest cost. We went back again a few days later.
