We were there to celebrate a birthday. We had dropped a cake off earlier in the day to surprise the birthday girl, however the waiter came to the table asking how many plates we needed, before bringing the cake out, which ruined the surprise. Suggestion, bring the cake out first, and provide the amount of plates the booking is for. Food was nice, could do with a bit more vegetables

We went to Boronia Hotel to celebrate my little daughter her birthday. We love the atmosphere for kids, definitely is a family friendly place. The play are for small kids is lovely (a lot of thing to do for kids 2-8) the kids menu was good. My girls love the pasta. We order the pork belly which was well cooked and the Parma which my partner said that how a Parma should look like. The food came really quick. The staff are friendly and all the time having he attention for anyone need help. The place was clean and tidy. For sure I will be back.

Went with friends with kids. The play centre is a good distraction and gives the parents a break. Food was fantastic and kids were served very quick.value for money and the staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommended this place for anyone looking for value for money and service.

We have just purchased a home in Boronia so we were excited to try our new local pub especially because they have a gluten free menu ! Food was good but would love a gluten free salt and pepper calamari on the gluten free menu ! Will definitely be back. We are a large extended family with lots of celebrations and we found it very hospitable !

We all found the food in the bistro to be really nice (the pork belly was exceptional) so kudos to the chef. Overall we would have given this place 5/5 stars however the toilet weren’t only disgusting, they looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a few days (floor flooded with urine - no chance of dry shoes afterwards)

To the venue manager running the pass last night, smashing that bell 4-7 times isn’t going to make your floor staff run the food any faster. However your management skills could. As a former hospo worker, hearing you smash that bell every 15 seconds was quite unsettling. Surely there’s a better way.

The staff are friendly. The kids loved the play area ( although it is absolutely filthy). All the food was great except for the kids nuggets. Really need to upgrade to proper chicken nuggets instead of the cardboard ones.

The food was fine, it was a pub meal, I booked a table for 8 but we were only given 7 seats and had to ask for an extra seat. The playground is great. Except for the random speaker that plays rocket sounds and unintelligible speaking at high volumes at ground level. The "games" just swallowed the tokens my son put in them.

The Boronia “Hotel” has a really lovely look to it Nicely decorated and huge play area indoor for kids and friendly staff but that’s where it stops The food reads good in the menu but was genuinely appalling. The meals were cold, slow to arrive and lack lustre Very unappealing and not pleasant at all The menu is extensive but in my opinion over priced You order meals at one spot and drinks and dessert at another Restaurant is large but adjoining through main dining to pokies Really disappointing

Staff were excellent however we had to ask twice for two desserts that weren't delivered. One did get delivered and the other one was forgotten a second time. Last time I dined here they forgot the mushroom sauce for my veal schnitzel however the food here is lovely

Really good value here Only hiccups (and I’m nitpicking) is when being seated, always tend to end up in the same place - where the sun shines in your eyes. So yeah nothing serious there, but the menu has recently changed and there are now less gluten free options.

I held my daughters 4th birthday party at The Boronia Hotel. I was a little hesitant at first because it was a pub like environment. Alas I was worried for nothing. This place is fantastic. You pay per child with a minimum number of kids. You get the works!!! Someone to host it, a heap of hot food, the whole party room(which I decorated) face painting, musical statues, and their awesome playground. They even supply an ice cream cake. I 100% got value for the money I spent. The lady that hosted my party was Alley and she was so professional and just super happy and friendly, nothing was too much for her. And we had a party with a tonne of kids. The parents all loved it too because they were able to relax and have a great meal while the kiddies were entertained. I would highly recommend The Boronia Hotel to all parents out there looking for a party place. Great venue, amazing value for money.

I had the pork belly. It was beautiful. Service was great. Unfortunately, the gluten free options you had a year ago were the best and we were at that time coming more frequently.

I had a lovely Friday lunch here with my friends(7/6/2024) and it was amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection(I had the mixed grill) and the entire dish was delicious. The dining area was quiet with spot tables of people dining making for a peaceful meal. It was a little chilly inside temperarure wise however overall I had a lovely time.

I don't know what I enjoyed more tonight- the needlessly rude waitress at the door (Bella) who refused to offer our table of five anything other than a table for four, despite the entire pub being basically deserted at 5pm on a weeknight- were still plenty of free tables when we left- or the bugs in the play area. We also ordered the Napoli pasta for our vegetarian son, who was served a meaty Bolognese despite the fact I confirmed my order twice at the counter. We used to come here weekly with our friends and their kids but yeah, if we can't get a table large enough to accommodate our booking, the staff are going to be rude for no reason whatsoever, our orders will be incorrect and our kids are going to be surrounded by roaches... Probably gonna drive a few minutes up the road to an alternative option.

Has all the facilities and good service, the place is well run, fast and friendly. The meal itself which was pork belly was nice and cooked as it should be with an authentic sauce however a huge pile of rice and not enough sauce to go around. Playground had some maintenance issues so attention to detail is lacking a bit however they were busy as heck so don’t think they’re to bothered about it.

Great place for a relaxing lunch while the kids have a play in such a spacious indoor playground. Service was good and food came out fast. Great tasting pub food and good kids menu too. Kids didn't want to leave which is a great success. Plenty of tables near the playground so you can sit back and relax knowing where the kids are. They have something for toddlers up to older kids so suits all ages. We will be back again with the kids.

Food was serviced cold. We usually like coming here as the playground is great for kids as well as the service is good but the food has not been nice the last few times we have visited

Food was pretty good, decent sized meals for the price. Not sure if it was our waiters first day or not but he couldn’t tell us if the kids meals still came with a complementary ice cream or not.

Food was delicious, great atmosphere, but service was a bit off (was very busy though). Staff were lovely though. Had to ask 3 times for a highchair and took 20 mins for a beer to be delivered because they had to change the keg (but waited 10mins at the bar while it was being changed also). Would definitely recommend.

Food quality was poor. Food under cooked and presentation of food was sub par. A few servers were rude and unhelpful, including walking away mid conversation about the food.

First time here for family get together, 3 small children, 2 pre teens and 4 adults. Came on a Sunday for lunch. Had to book, the place, including the rear carpark was full. Service and staff were very good, smiles and pleasant. Food came out very quickly. Meals were good, not great. Steak was a bit overcooked, for the medium l asked for. The fish was tasteless, other meals were ok. Considering the prices, the meals weren't a decent size, except for the chicken parma, which was huge. Play ground is fantastic for smaller kids, a number of the electronic games were not working. Not sure if we will come back. I would have given 3.5 stars, if l could.

Even though my meal somehow was forgotten I couldn't rate it any higher. The second I asked a staff member about my meal the kitchen made it up and the Twice Cooked Pork belly tasted as good as the first time I had it. My friends meals looked great as well. I love that the menu caters for Gluten free and Vegan too.

Booked for 7 adults. Unfortunately we were seated (on a table that seats 12!) next to big tables in kids area surrounded by large group birthday parties. Too loud to relax or hear each other, we requested to be moved to other quieter area. While quieter, it was next to the ironwork in the wall that separates the entry/toilets. Freezing with the door constantly opening to outside sending cold wind in. (Needs a glass panel over the ironwork so you don’t feel in the space of people using toilets or temperature change from entrance). Service and food were great. But we did not hang around when meals finished. Went home for coffee & dessert to thaw out and warm up! We will return, but we will definitely be requesting seating away from kids and the doorway!

Booked a table for 7, but they messed up. Put us right next to the playroom, with almost adult kids, food was good but minimal. Tried to get service at the bar, the gentleman just said I'm not allowed to serve you. We then asked if he could find someone to help us. Didnt even get the specials or seniors menu. Had to go online to get it. This is twice there now, but probably won't try again

Been here a lot, lately they seem to have stepped it up a notch. The Pork belly was delicious. It was a monday, so the pizzas were on special for $14. Great playground for the kids.
