Wonderful experience when attending a friend’s birthday party in the function room. Staff are super friendly and attentive, all the food served are superb. We happened to attend a 1800 remembrance service which reminded us the sacrifices of our soldiers made for our beloved country! Wanna go back and try other food. My personal rating is 4.6

Went for brunch on a weekday. Nice lounge area and friendly,helpful staff.
Ordered the
1.Roast of the day - beef - small portion of beef, the Yorkshire pudding had finished and they didn't replace it. However we paid the full price. A little disappointing.* 3.8/5
2. Baked Barramundi- underwhelming dish, had the fishy taste. Stir fried veggies were overcooked.*2/5
3. Lamb rump risotto- tasty, well crusted and cooked lamb, with a delicious sauce.*4/5

We have been here now a few times, great place to go with guests with mobility needs, very easy to park and get around. The food good and the place is lovely and clean

Was seated for dinner in front of a memorial cabinet dedicated to Benjamin Roberts-Smith, a proven war criminal. He committed countless horrific and disturbing acts against unarmed civilians, including executing a man with a prosthetic leg and making other soldiers drink from it. He is also a domestic abuser. It’s sick and twisted and I don’t accept that the RSL would be ignorant of this - it was heavily reported and has even been in the media again recently. Please rectify this

Very pleasant area to sit. Ordered roast and received a generous serve. Chef could do with an electric knife as meat came in very thick slices and chunks which were difficult to chew. Otherwise the meal and service were excellent and would not hesitate to return.

This is a very large RSL located on prime realestate in Box Hill near the CBD.
It has on-site multilevel car parking that free to patrons.
It's a licensed gaming venue with gaming machine, several bars and dining rooms.
Public toilets accommodating male, female and disabled patrons. Wheel chair friendly venue.

The late night staff was quite rude. I was playing pokies there all day long and I’ve lost more than $4000. When I finally won some money back, I went to the cash machine, yet it didn’t give me enough money. The ticket I put in was $1718.35. But it only gave me $1712. A security was nearby but I decided to tend to the staff at bar for help. In usual time I wouldn’t care about few dollars short, but after I lost so much money here today, I don’t want to lose some other unnecessary money. But the staff, an Indian girl, was quite rude. She just kept saying, “No the machine won’t be wrong, it always gives exact money.” And she even wanted to take the money on my hand to count. I said it’s not the money the cash machine gave out, it also includes my original money, so there’s no need to count the money on my hands. Besides, I don’t like people to touch my money. I just let her to check the monitor to see if I ever take any $5 dollars note out from the machine. She didn’t want to but after a while she came back and told me there was no money short for me. And she wanted to count my money again. I said it’s okay, I already lost $4000 today, I don’t mind another $5 dollars. Then she said, it’s your choice to lose, not mine… I never seen such a rude girl.

The food is great. The atmosphere is great and the staff are so very friendly. A particular pat on the back to young Ethan who is so friendly and welcoming and goes out of his way to provide excellent customer service. High kudos to this venue.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is very good. The only problem, because it's so good sometimes you can't get a booking.

Really good ambient. Elegant. The service was friendly and prompt. The menue has a good selection of food and wines and very reasonable prices. I have returned to enjoy the experience.

Ordered the seafood platter for $95 and when they delivered the food, we could straight away smell something off. True enough, the oysters were bad and smelly. Complained to the manager and she gave the reason that the kitchen wastoo busy to notice that the oysters have turned back. Changed to another batch and still bad. I hope I will not have upset stomach tonight.

Ordered a chicken schnitzel and came out under cooked and dripping with oil and soggy.
Took it back to the kitchen and get told that is how they cook them and that is the best they can do.
Out of the 7 meals ordered only 3 were decent

On September 22, 2023, I was welcomed as a visitor to Box Hill RSL, and I am impressed by the atmosphere and clubhouse's chic and contemporary style.
A good place for family and friends gathering.

Meals are big
The entrees (baked schollops) and ( lemon and ricotta filled zacchini flowers) were the best

Lovely staff and beautiful ambiance but the food was average at best. I’ve been coming to the RSL for many years and had always been impressed by the standard and quality of their food but not last night. Don’t think I’ll be rushing back.

I've been popping into this club branch for some years now and like everywhere you'll get an occasional small hickup but all up you really couldn't get a nicer place to have a good meal or see a show afterwards if ones playing as part of a deal you can elect to take up. Is definitely worth a try to see if you like it. They constantly refresh the place to so it's always looked nice I reckon.

I give 2 stars this time , location and environment is good as usual, the food we had here before was good too. But the food we ordered this time is really disappointing. We ordered lamb cutlet the first time here, priced at $45 but only 3 pieces was served and one of them was very small. moreover, the taste was bad we cannot even finish the 3 pieces because it taste so bad.
I provided feedback , they said they can compensate with a cake or other side dishes, but we are not interested(they didn’t offer refund money option which they should , I didn’t request either ). Even the inflation is high these days, but this is only a standard hotel restaurant you need to line up to pay your meal upfront. $45 for 3 little terrible taste lamb cutlet is definitely a shame. We felt upset and have to find other food to eat afterwards.

Had a really lovely meal here (stuffed broccoli flowers with risotto.) Served by Gloria who was great.
Nice surroundings and as a wheelchair user it was very accessible.

A very nice place for members. They also allow walk in customers. The restaurant and bar serve good food in good price. They also have senior menu ! A great place to enjoy yourself .

Attended here for lunch with four of us.
The food was really good, the place clean and the staff friendly. The prices were also reasonable and easy to park at the carpark in the back

As a visitor from Sydney, I had no idea of what to expect. Was blown away by this attractive modern RSL Bowling Club. Wonderful dining area, extensive menu choice, good service. Meals are ordered from bistro counter and brought to your table when ready. Drinks are purchased from bar. Good, free, on site parking. Recommend.

A good RSL.
Good array of service and campaign medals on display.
I thought the dining area would be bigger.
Menu variety was good. Food was excellent and delivered in a short time.
Staff member Laura displayed an excellent customer service model, and is an asset to the premises, and should be in management or training.
Laura's customer service should be envy to any other employer.
Finally, plastic straws, not paper.

A colleague and I frequented the RSL here while visiting for work. Best meals. No complaints. So damn delicious and such lovely customer service. Thank you 😊

Absolutely love to visit this place. Staff a very friendly. Food is awesome. I love the look of the place too. Wish there was a club like this where we live.
