We sat in the Phoenix bar on a Sunday afternoon. A very chilled and relaxed atmosphere, with a good acoustic guitarist playing. Staff were very friendly and a good range of drinks. I had the Grilled Chicken Breast which I though was delicious. I’d give this a 5-star. My wife has the Szechuan calamari, and it was tasty, but a bit too deeply fried, and with the chips, just too much fried food on the same plate.
I’d happily come back and try more meal options.

Went for lunch on labour day for my partners birthday. Being a public holiday meant a 15% surcharge. We ordered the garlic pizza as an entrees to be followed by rib eye on the bone and seafood pie. The bread didn't come out as an entree but served with mains. Staff member did apologise for this error. My partner was happy with his steak,coleslaw and chips. My seafood pie was disappointing. It should've been the main part of my meal however the tray that it was served on was overpacked with vegetables and curly chips. The pie was quite small. $29 + surcharge. I've had the ribs here before and never been disappointed. Should've stuck to them.

Well, after reading some so so reviews, we decided to reserve a table and go to Panama Jacks for my wife's birthday tonight and hopefully have a positive experience.!!!
To our delight the very polite staff, friendly service, nice surroundings and the meals we ordered were excellent and served in a timely manner. It is a few years since we had been here and from memory it was OK then.
We don't do many reviews but this certainly deserved a positive note and we will be back again soon. Not the cheapest but the food was worth the price in quality and quantity. Well done folks. 22.06.2022

We just had lunch here after seeing the reviews on OpenTable - it was absolutely mint! Food was devine and spot on, atmosphere was family friendly and a wide range of ages, service was amazing. Thanks BRT!

Unfortunately, the food was of poor culinary standard. The steak was cooked well past my rare order. At $50, this is unacceptable at best. The side of vegetables was of a Coles frozen variety on appearance. For a pensioner, to spend over a $100 on an order this poor, it's extremely disappointing.

Top place for coffee or a beer. Meals are excellent. Great eye fillet cooked to how I like. The old indian motorbikes are a great talking point in the pub. Nice staff.

The steaks here are top quality. As good as any fancy steak restaurant. I had the 200g rib fillet medium rare.
Raffle guy is pretty good value too! (He’s my dad 😆)

The steak sandwich is the best I've had. The steak is lovely and tender, the portion was bigger than expected and the steak sandwich bread option is garlic loaf which just enhances the deliciousness. Definitely reccomend

The food and staff amazing was there Saturday lunch and went back Sunday would highly recommend will be coming back again and again have to try whole menu.

Lovely fresh meals. Fairly simple food but well prepared. Only a couple of vegan choices, but staff are happy to adjust menu items. Takeaway boxes are provided for leftovers (portions sizes are large)

I recently had a disappointing experience at Bracken Ridge Tavern. After receiving an enticing email about their March chef specials, I decided to visit. However, upon arrival, I was informed by the waitress that they were still serving February specials. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I finally reached the front, only to be told that the items I wanted were sold out. When I tried to order the March specials instead, I was told they wouldn't be available until March 7th. It's frustrating that they would send out emails promoting specials they're not prepared to offer. This was my first and last visit to Bracken Ridge Tavern. I left and found another establishment where I could actually get food.

Honestly one of the best steaks ever. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. Owners always present and welcoming. Great food, amazing quality of the ingredients and great attention to details. Would recommend checking this place out if you are in north Brisbane.

Harry Browns is an excellent bottle shop
I go there from the wide range of Single malt Scotch whiskey
There’s a cafe there that has broad range of treats
Also the dining area provides a good range of delicious foods ! For a suburban enterprise it’s very very appointed with comfortable furniture which is a formidable resource for the local community

Had lunch here today 23/03/24. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Meals- Sausages mash vegetables and gravy, Roasted beetroot salad with smoked salmon. Sausages=ordinary/mashed potato=me thinks not real potato but maybe out of a can or something/vegetables=over cooked. (I ate it but left most of the mash) The better half said that the Beetroot was Definately NOT ROASTED but diced tinned produce.

Great pub & restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is just delicious with plenty of variety.

First time visitor to this venue. I ordered the 300g rib eye, medium rare with veges and mash.
The food was delivered quickly and was just the way a steak should be. Definitely one of the better I have ever had.
The "out door" area had a great atmosphere, with soft music and open area feel, while still being indoors.
I will be back when the opportunity presents.

Family run business, always delivers on delicious food, great coffee and a great place to work. I find that the white family try their hardest to take care of the community using the Tavern

Bracken Ridge Tavern is possibly the worst pub choice to dine in our local area. We gave them another try a few weeks ago (for the first time since 2021) for Sunday lunch, but their food is still below average & overpriced, including drinks. I was shocked that a tiny 330ml bottle of Coke was almost $6!! We were also disappointed to be told at the register that their lunch menu is now only available Mon-Thurs. We do not want to pay dinner prices for lunch.
EDIT : No thanks, Chad. We'll happily travel a bit further afield to enjoy better, more affordable meals at our favourite pubs at Sandgate and Chermside.

Are they for real? I think they have a very high opinion of themselves, we ordered a $20 pizza take a look at what was delivered. Chef stated 'if I hear another complaint about the size of our pizza! Making food costs money you know!' literally abysmal, go elsewhere.

After reading the reviews, hubby & I thought we’d try coming here for a meal.
We were not disappointed.
For entree we had the garlic & cheese pizza bread. Yummo!
For mains we both had beef cheeks. OMG, they we absolutely delicious! Gelatinous & full of flavour. You don’t need a knife.
If I could pick one small thing from the dish is that the carrots & broccoli were are a bit undercooked for our liking.
This place has a great atmosphere & we will definitely be coming back.

Actually this is a good option for an early morning coffee if doing a bike ride along the Gateway Bikeway. Fast and friendly service, nice coffee or hot chocolate or breakfast snacks available. While not actually on the bike way just a short ride off.
