We stopped here on our way back to Canberra from the coast. Ordered a Balter IPA, pumpkin & feta bruschetta, chicken schnitzel and fried chicken burger. Generous portions, home made crumbing on the chicken, the salad with the schnitzel was great (lettuce, rocket, red onions, purple cabbage, cherry tomatoes) which isn't often the case with pub schnitzel plates. All for under $60. Will recommend and return!

Waited an 1hr and 30 mins for 2 snitzel meals on a Wed night. Not sure if they forgot the order but it came out 15 mins,after I asked where it was.veggies hard and cold. Waitress awesome running around doing everything. Probs need more staff! Not stopping here again.

The pub is a lovely old building with a lot of character. The service was good but the Margherita pizza was not very nice I would recommend something different.

The is a really lovely country pub. Beautiful timber work, roaring fires, friendly staff, good vibes. Would highly recommend a visit.

The food was incredible, the staff and the service were amazing. All were super friendly.
We ordered the buffalo wings, fried chicken burger and hamburger. All were generous portions and tasted great.
The only issue we had was the sauce on the wings was slightly too sweet and there was way too much sauce in the chicken burger. Hands down one of the best hamburgers I have had in a long time.

The food and atmosphere at the Braidwood hotel was truly authentic. The burger was worth every penny and Gavin Hold fast distillery under the pub was more than happy to provide insight into his process, and after sampling his gin, we purchased some for a drink at home. Thank you so much Gavin and team.

Terrible- go hungry is my advice.
I was so surprised by the other reviews, so thought I’d write about our experience and spare others an inedible dinner.
Frozen food, which was clearly reheated, and one of the worst veggie burgers I’ve ever had. I could only eat one bite. The Fish and chips were ok, but again frozen and overpriced at $28.
The chips were passable.
Terrible- go hungry is my advice.

Simple, tasty and affordable pub feed. Cozy and laid back, super old building. Good drinks menu, just what you want when you feel like a pub lunch.

Probably one of the best pubs going around!! Amazing front bar with open fires throughout!! Excellent service and friendly locals!! Definitely gotta stop in for a few!

Perfect old pub atmosphere. Roaring fire, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent leek and potato soup. Highly recommended. Why do most pubs reckon they need pokies and a blaring TV? keep it simple. This pub ticks all the boxes.

Owner was away, locals & bar tender were so friendly. Steak sandwich was to die for sorry couldn't finish the yummy chips. Great value for your hard earned dollar

Not value for money.
It saddens me every time i go to a place, especially like the braidwood Hotel, is that it can look the part and feel it too, but the food can let it down. Today, I had the steak sandwich, and i can say that it honestly wasn't worth the money. 18 Dollars got you literally a steak in a sandwich, which certainly wasn't worth the money. The bread was defrosted microwaved bread, too, and likely the chips as well. If only the food lived up to exceptions, then it would've been great. Honestly, that aside, the people were great, just not the food.

Just had lunch here, verrrry sloooow service, over 50 minutes for the first meal to arrive at the table and then about 15 minutes for the last meal to arrive. Leaving us with the, "do I wait before I start?". I ordered the discussion bacon and mushroom pasta. In my mind a special has 3 criteria and should meet at least 2 if not all 3, they are cheaper, good meal, larger. This did not meet any. Fairly small serve, of nothing special with badly cooked pasta.

If you like an open fire and beautiful wooden floors and historic surrounds, this is the place for you. It’s just magic to step inside on a cold day, grab a glass of wine & snuggle up in the comfy front room. Food is simple fare but tasty. They do pizza nights which feeds a family easily. Staff are lovely. Super happy they allowed our golden retriever to join us inside. We will be back!

Great spot to stop for a pub meal or a drink. Staff friendly and helpful. Open fire places when it gets cold. Disappointing that no regional independent craft beers on tap.

Good historic country pub. Top atmosphere. Worth checking. Great little pool room with a table.. food looked amazing, going back to for some taste tasting next time I'm in town.

Best wings ever! Amazing wood fired chicken wings here and the ranch dressing has to be home made, it is incredible. Wings had delicious seasoning and not too salty like some with a perfect outter crispyness but also cooked perfectly right through. Also had a cheesburger with a side of fries that was fabulous. I enjoyed the Green Beacon pale ale also. Lovely old pub atmosphere with a couple of open fires on added to the experience.

Beautiful old pub with great food. The highlight was Quil, the adorable pub dog that hung out with us for while we were there. Decor is gorgeous like stepping back in time. Recommend the chicken burger the chef/s did an amazing job on that one!
