We were sat at table 311 (we had reserved this for 6:30) . When we arrived at our table after trying to find it for 15min there was no lighting, no coasters, it hadn’t been wiped down and there was no set up for us or reserved signing. unlike the other reserved tables around us. Which had QR coasters to order food and drinks, napkins, cutlery, lighting, chairs with backs on them and a table number to find there table. We had to ask 3 waiters where our table was and they just finally pointed to the one in the corner, in the dark next to a bush with bugs and no effort at all. During our time. My sister saw a rat and my whole family saw a cockroach on one of our chairs. When the food came out, we had sauces missing, food wasn’t cooked like we had asked (medium, rare, well done) all that kinda stuff, and we waited a good 40min for our meal. I do understand it was busy so we weren’t worried about that, it was more of the fact that when the food finally came out it wasn’t done right, we had to use the flash on our phones to see the food and too even see what we were doing. The porterhouse we ordered was dry and had zero flavour and the waiter that was walking past us doing nothing ignored my dad when he politely called out to ask about the sauces that were missing. He just kept on strolling lol. Ate about half the food and left. We have had good experiences here but this wasn’t one of them. All I can say is; next time someone reserves a table put as much effort in for there experience as you do with others. Instead of chucking them in the corner on a random table with no set up at all and stickiness all over it. Cheers.

We ordered 2 servings of The Creek, Medium Rare and Medium Well but it turn out one is Well Done, dry and tough. The other one is okay. Therefore, the quality of cooking is inconsistent. We also ordered WAGYU MB3 SIRLION, Medium Rare and it turned out Medium. This is still acceptable me. We also ordered the Porterhouse. Again it turned out slightly more cooked than necessary. So out of the 4 dishes, only 1 is good, 1 acceptable. The environment is good for nice concersation with your friends and service is good. Otherwise, I won’t go for the food.

Went in for a birthday meal. Checked in as we had booked and were told what table we were at and left to our own devices. Was a bit if a pain trying to locate our table as we are not regulars to the pub.
Once found seating was comfortable table size just big enough.
Have to order of the QR code which is fine but you could only order food of it not drinks. Not a major issue just a bit annoying. Food portions are enormous food delicious. Sorry I didnt get any photos. Cost was a bit pricey but definitely value for money due to the size of rhe meals.
Atmosphere was good but in the colder months definitely take a jachet or jumper as it can get cold in places ecen though there are heaters throughout.
Definitely a place for a few beers with mates or a family gathering

Went here today on their reputation for a great steak 20years ago 😄
Breaky Creek you did not disappoint. 👍 steak was bloody amazing. Staff both upon entering and at all 3 bars we went into were fabulous.
We'll definitely be back and it won't take 20yrs

We came for the steak which was overall pretty good. Huge restaurant with easy parking as well. Great baked potato. Reasonable pricing. Somewhat easy to order via the app.

We booked but table didn’t have enough chairs for our booking. Meals said 45min wait when ordering. Entrees (small
Plates on menu) came out very quickly. The rest of the meals were closer to 55minutes. Some were missing items one had the wrong sauce and the kids meal didn’t come until we asked after all adults meals.
The chicken Snitzel was raw and inedible and the crumbing was disgusting. Sauces also at $2 a pop, and tiny serves no where big enough for a meal and the meals that come with a sauce are set sauces so no choices. Overall disappointing.

We attempted dinner for a party of 2 on a Saturday night, without a booking - big mistake, the place was absolutely overflowing! The guy on the door was useless, they didn't have a line or take names to wait for a table. We were told to just come back and keep checking.
We left. Definitely book ahead.

Very disappointed in what I used to regard as a very nice place. We had a table at the Spanish Garden and as soon as we sat down noticed flies everywhere. The table was not clean and needed to be wiped down. One of our steaks tasted bad and smelled bad so we took it back up and they cooked us a new one. Unfortunately that left one of our members eating their meal alone. We had to request the complimentary Bread rolls as they were not provided. By this time we decided to talk to the supervisor and let them know of our dissatisfaction. She was apologetic and said they had spoken to management about the flies but to no avail. She offered us the replacement steak for free as compensation for what she knew was not a good evening. I hope their management will listen to staff as the amount of flies that we were eating with is just unacceptable.

This pub is a well known venue that has been around for years. The food and service were fantastic. The meat was cooked exactly to order and was very good quality.

Stopped in for a beer and a meal after work (thankfully it wasn't 'up for sale'🤣) Had an awesome meal (steak) that was reasonably priced and had heaps of food on the plate. We didn't leave hungry. Very nice atmosphere as well.

Squshed us 4 in on a hectic Sunday for lunch. Thank you.
Drinks took forever using the QR code service. Would be easier to walk to the bar.
Footy was on, people were in high spirits on a Winters Sunday arvo.

Spanish Garden Steakhouse very disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just had lunch with work colleagues at the Spanish Garden Steakhouse. I was very disappointed with my steak and the way I was addressed by your staff member. Table of 4 spending nearly $300 and only one steak was cooked to order and to top it off my steak was swimming in a bath of liquid which took near two napkins to soak up. If I was paying for it, I would have handed it to the chef and made him it eat, to be honest beyond disappointing. Your staff member took my complaint and then turned her back on me and was not interested in your issue.

Restaurant and bar are consistently excellent places to catchup and dine with friends. Have been coming here for years. Featuring a wide array of drinks as one would expect at any decent pub served by friendly staff. The food is delicious and served quickly.

Really buzzing atmosphere. Service was pretty slow but it was a Saturday. The wedges are amazing but the steak burger was very greasy and thrown together with big chunks of fat. Almost inedible. Great vibe though.

Overall such a disappointing experience. First time at this place with a work function, a dozen people.
Beautiful meat cabinet but such a poor experience with the steaks we got. I ordered medium, I received a steak half rare, half well done. Burned on the outside, moo-ing when cut it. Unevenly cooked, very weird. Wrong grill or frozen meat I don’t know. Poorly seasoned too. Something is seriously wrong with the cooking in that kitchen. Every single person in the group was disappointed with their steak, exception the guy that ordered lamb cutlets, very small portion of meat in his case. Chicken wings served as entrée were rather raw and definitely not how many were meant to be in one kg baskets. Bread buns served in plastic.
Beautiful fresh oysters, phew… not cooked though.
We were all drinking, the best part of the day. Great location, very busy carpark, but there is a paid carpark right next door.
Extremely expensive, don’t bring your friends or family.

My family has always loved the steaks so we chose to have lunch here again. But sadly the mains were served an hour after we placed our order. And in the meantime the table was full of flies. This greatly affected our dining experience and made us miss our next appointment.

I’ve been coming here for forty years. The steaks used to be so good. Not any more. It’s just so ordinary. From the swarm of flies to the stone cold food on the plate I am so disappointed by how far the standard has dropped. Would not recommend.

It’s the Breakfast Creek Hotel. As non-queenslanders we spent our whole time there trying to work out where we knew the name from (Midnight Oil!).
Just stopped for a beer (XXXX of course) but decided to try the steak roll from the bar menu. Wow! An amazing feed at good value; fresh roll, perfectly done steak

If you're after a great steak then this is the place to go. Several lovely outdoor spaces to sit. It's also lovely to visit the historic Public Bar to see a genuine bar from days of old.

I came here after a long days work, still dressed in my hi vis. The three different bartenders who served me were all terribly rude. They all seemed to think it was a big hassle to do their job and pour me a drink. No smiles or small talk, just dirty looks and disdain. No “hello” back, no “please” or “thank you”, just “what do you want”. Terrible customer service

Have been here in the past and enjoyed the food. Went on the weekend and it has gone downhill.
My daughter and I ordered the brisket burgers and drinks. Brisket was very tough and chewy and half of it was fat. After over an hour waiting for our drinks I went to the bar to be told they never received our order. Was overpriced for what we received.

Had lunch in the Spanish garden. The steak was excellent, chips just done right as well. They always give you a portuguese roll with your meal. This makes for a perfect chip butty...yum

Good Grief!!!! I haven't been in a long time and I doubt I'd go back anytime soon. It used to be an icon and a pleasure to visit, alas not anymore. I arrived at 3.30pm and was told the wooden keg would be replaced at 4.30, which it was. The bar staff in the private bar are hopeless! She spent all her time with her back to the bar on her phone. There were empty glasses, a dirty bar and even someone's plate with leftovers on the bar and she made no attempt to clean them. We had to speak up to get served as she only served people who walked up to the part of the bar she was standing at. The service at the Spanish Gardens was much better, the waitstaff are clearly better trained. The meal was good and the wine quite well priced. The winelist is no where near as good as it used to be. Although still a busy pub, it has lost it's 'soul' and is no longer a value for money place worth visiting. I doubt I'll be back and I certainly wouldn't proudly take overseas visitors there any more.

Every now and then, Australia somehow manages to spit out a miracle. The Brekky Creek is exactly this, especially amongst Brisbane residents. Impeccable service, a wide ranging menu and an easy to use booking service are just the start. The venue caters to multiple occasions within the same walls. Want a nice dinner with the misso? Hit up the Spanish Garden. Feel like a beer watching the footy with the boys? Enter the Beer Garden. Not quite into either of those things? There’s an incredible Rum Bar with hundreds of options to choose from. All under the same roof. The steaks are amongst, if not, Brisbane’s best; especially the 300gm eye fillet served with chips and an Idaho potato. You will not regret your time here.

Delicious meals, reasonably well priced and the service is really good. Make sure you make a booking/reservation when you want to dine in there as it can get really very busy. A recommended pub in Brisbane

Awesome steak options with an impressive meat cabinet, food was pretty good when it arrived but not amazing. The service was a bit impersonal given you order on a QR code and the food and drinks just get dropped on the table. It's unfortunate as it takes away the character of the venue somewhat. Worth a visit however.
