We pub hop around the coast on week ends and usually stay local to the surf clubs. Wow. This place is fab. The decor is lovely, staff all super friendly and attentive. Food choices were great and very affordable. There was two functions on and you wouldn't know as it was quiet. Its nice to be able to walk away saying we really enjoyed it and look forward to going back.
Our son had the kids meal which included an ice cream on stick and we didn't even have to ask for it was offered as soon as plates were cleared.
There's also a kids room with all glass windows so you can still see them from your table.
Can't wait to go back when our family visits and this time we will try an outdoor table

Went out for dinner as it is my grandmas birthday.
The customer service was a
AAA+++ a attendant named pauline was very kind to my grandma a senior citizen! Thank you very much Pauline for wishing her a happy birthday and helping to make her feel comfortable :))

Took mum and dad for lunch last week. The food selection is always more interesting than the standard pub or club fare. We booked and were shown our table very quickly. Getting served was a bit of an issue to catch someone's eye but the staff are friendly. Mum ordered the French Schnitzel which comes with chips and slaw but you can change to mash and veg for $4.. seems a bit rich to add $4 for this when you already paying upper end price for the meal. Otherwise everything is great and I would recommend. Just worth the managers remembering we are in a cost of living crisis, dont squeeze the customer

The food tonight was not good, the Maryland chicken which was 40.00 was dry and not eatable. Pappardelle pasta was extremely salty I couldn’t eat it. The pizza had so much tomato base sauce on it, we were very disappointed. I can’t see me coming back

The food and service were both excellent. Best Caesar Salad I've had in a very long time.

Stopped in here for a drink with a friend on the patio. It was just a really beautiful, scenic spot with great, simple food and a decent drink selection. The service was really good. Best of all was the atmosphere. It’s just stunning!

Staff were nice. Cook was rude. Sent my burnt crumbed overcooked fish back 😒 he sent same fish back to me. Not impressed at all. Couldn't eat it.

Recently had the pleasure of visiting the Brightwater Hotel whilst my family was here to visit.
I hadn't been before but will definitely make a point of going again!
The staff at every opportunity were the most welcoming and friendly team you could imagine, even down to small details that make a huge impac; like offering the young ones ice cream free of charge!
Amazing service, food and atmosphere!

Prices a tad high but the meals were great and the service by the bar staff was awesome (special mention to the guy that has never been to the snow).

Our group regularly goes to the Brightwater Hotel. Yesterday we had our Christmas Lunch there and it was, as usual, above and beyond. John and Pauline are simply the best. Thank you for your wonderful service during 2023. See you again in 2024.

Nice restaurant area but at outdoors and pool areas we could smell cigarette smoke quite strongly. The new pool tables are not much fun. Small and more expensive!

Nice atmosphere meals are ok bit pricey for pub food but snitzel and steak nights are a hit beers always cold and the Eumundi ginger beer on tap is epic great to see them supporting local brewerys as well.

My partner and I absolutely love coming here, it's become our Valentines and Anniversary tradition.
Came in for mothers day with the family and it was so super lovely as always.

My first and only visit was when I dropped in on a Sunday arvo about 530 for a drink with a mate. Walked to the bar in the main area where there was 1 bloke who was being served. Checked out the taps on the right and then the left and stood there to be served. The young bartender looked at me then served a bloke who walked up after me. There was a second bartender making a cocktail and a third bloke throwing a bag of ice on the floor. No one has said hello or wants to make eye contact. Then when the first bartender finished serving old mate, he decided to have a chat to 2nd bartender right in front of me. To be honest, I’m in disbelief. Not even “have you been served etc”. I said to old mate - it’s all good have your conversation first. The response was oh sorry, have you not been served?
No mate. No one did and considering he was the one that looked at me when I went to the bar!
Service was very poor. On the form, I definitely wouldn’t go back.
This falls to management’s fault for lack of training and discipline.

I really enjoyed my time here. It was a little on the expensive side for meals, but for the most part they are well prepared.
My two criticisms from my dine in experience was that my pork wasn't cooked well enough, the skin was very rubbery in the center but the edges were crackled perfectly - I would have loved to have seen this across the whole skin. Dining in was very very busy, so I'm assuming that this was simply because the chef was rushed with the peak hour dining in. The other issue was with drinks, it took me three times for my drink order to be done correctly. I usually request no ice with my drinks as my teeth are sensitive, and I had to ask the staff three times to get this followed. In the end, they got it right, but it was a bit frustrating to have that happen.
Despite these issues, the staff were mostly attentive and friendly. When we wanted to order extra drinks, the staff members were available, and food for our group came out mostly at the same time with a focus on getting the kids meals and appetisers out first which we appreciated.
The waterfront view here is absolutely stunning. It was such a relaxing afternoon to enjoy drinks and lunch near the deck. The positive thing we saw as well is that they also had a seniors menu too, which was lovely to see.
Apart from the issues I mentioned earlier, it was all in all, a great experience.

I didn't need to worry about the calories of my lunch as was unwell shortly after leaving the venue. I ordered seafood... I contacted Brightwater the same evening to alert them but still have had no response.

Had to ask a few times to order meals. Food came out cold. Drinks didn’t arrive, had to go up and ask for them. Quite possibly the worst pizza and pasta we have eaten to date. Frozen box pizza and microwave pasta? Staff then reached over and cleared plates before 1 person was finished. Had to ask for the food back! Do yourself a favour and cook at home

Had lunch with my friends yesterday 17th April. There was 11 of us. Steaks were great. But only 4 people enjoyed there meal. Very disappointing 😞

Great view, lovely bartenders but the service was slow. I ordered a cocktail with the QR code, waited 30 minutes and nothing? There were only 2 other tables at the time, a quite Monday night.
I walked over to the bar and it was sitting there, the ice was a bit melted by then. It was nice, nevertheless although a bit disappointing about the wait.
I ordered at the counter as I didn’t want to wait again and my food came quickly but the steak was a little overdone. A little more attention to detail would would help with the service side of things. I let the staff know about the steak and they apologised for the inconvenience.
Overall I think there is great potential for the restaurant, yet lacking in execution for the service.

Great menu with lots of options, good service - order from table online or order and pay at register.
Food great, good value for money. Had plenty of meals here and yet to be disappointed. Friendly and helpful service.

Grab your fambam for lunch and order from menu that boasts something for everybody, from an incredible snitty burger & steak sanger to mushroom risotto & quinoa salad.
The kids enjoyed the park which was just next door, whilst the bigger kids chatted over some cold tap beers and watched the day fade away lakeside.
Great service and clearly a locals favourite going by the turnout.

Good pub food and service, but not table service. Order online (very easy) and drinks at the bar. Great views near the lake, but most seating is well inside. We thought it was good value but it was a bit noisy. However, you expect that at a bar.

Brightwater is amazing. Our new favourite place. The food is always fantastic, the service is amazing and the value for money is great.
The staff are always friendly and helpful.
I would recommend it to and group large or small.

Brightwater Hotel Functions team were friendly, helpful and efficient and our function ran very smoothly. The Pontoon Deck was a great location for gathering and the staff were A+. Food at Brightwater is always delicious. I highly recommend holding your next party or function at Brightwater Hotel.

A great pub on the lake at Brightwater so clean an bright with a great atmosphere. Good deck bistro and kids room very kid friendly. Staff are so attentive and friendly. Fantastic selection for drinks. Seniors and kids menu and lunch menu $15.. you might think only 4 stars after saying such good things but I had the panko crumbed fish and chips and it was awful. Dry frozen fillets with average chips and a rocket salad. Other meals that came out from the kitchen looked good but I couldn’t even eat mine. John loved his meal I have maybe just ordered the wrong thing but when it said panko fillets I thought they may have been fresh

20 of us had lunch there on Saturday 27th May. It is not easy to please everyone in a group of 20 but everyone commented how delicious the food was. Food excellent, yummy, delicious and not expensive. They have a Seniors Menu too. Staff lovely, efficient, courteous. John, the Manager, lovely man and should be proud of his crew. Great view looking out onto the water. You can sit inside or outside on the verandah.
