Wonderful meals of both Chinese and Australian varieties. Excellent prices and their smorgasbord on Friday and Saturday nights is excellent value.

When you visit the hotel it may look dated but the service in the dining room is great.... Friendly staff great Chinese and Australian menu. Saturday is all you can eat buffet ....... get over the dated interior for a good feed this is the place to go...Good old country pub is what you get...

What a pleasant surprise! Left it too late to book anywhere for Mother's Day so took a punt....totally worth it!
The decor is dated and the street appeal is lacking but the food was sensational and well presented!!
If you enjoy Indian food then you really need to give Dawaat at the British and American a go 🙂

This is a pub that's been there for a very long time, and it's showing its age. Friendly staff, and well cooked cheap food are it's staple.

The new Indian menu is fantastic! Unlimited Thali is great value and staff are very friendly. awesome !

The last of the good old no frills down to earth ‘pub’. Terrific, welcoming and easy to speak with locals - located a 5 minute drive from the city centre.
No pokies, No TAB.
Huge screen for viewing, free pool table, koits, hookey, darts - good old Aussie hotel experience where everyone is up for a chat.
Indian menu available in the bistro, drive through bottle shop operates throughout business hours.

Still one of the best Chinese feeds in Bendigo. Lawrence and Cassandra and their cooking are the reason this place has stayed open without renovation or reinvention all these years. The food is consistently amazing. No frills, just great food.

Family friendly hotel and restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, good value for money. We went on a Friday night, they had an all you can eat smorgasbord for $15 (drinks extra), which I think they also have on Saturday nights.

Abousoltue worst atmosphere I have ever experienced in my life they stated that they were meant to have karaoke from 7:30 p.m. onwards and is now 10:10 and there has been none of that the owner is a sad sad man
