We visited the Brook Hotel for dinner on Mother’s Day. It has recently been renovated and looks quite amazing. We were seated near the musician, so it was a little loud. There are tables indoors, outdoors and also out the back. Order via the QR code at the table and they bring out the food. The menu has a variety of options, your usual steak, pizza and other pub food choices. There are also salads and entrees. Price wise it’s probably on the more expensive end, but not terrible. For kids, there is a little play area out the back, there is a rock climbing wall but it’s not very stable, a few of the foot holds had come loose. There is a life size chess board with plastic chess pieces, a netted basketball/soccer area and a big theatre room for the kids to watch a movie/show. It probably better suited to ages 5+.

We spent Easter Sunday at The Brook and loved it. Service was amazing given it was so busy. Food was delicious, meat perfect and drinks very appealing. Would recommend it.

Went for lunch (2 people) on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but soon got busy. The drinks service is quick. The food took a long time to arrive. Food was good and worth the value.

Went during lunch on a Sunday. It was raining so the booked outdoor areas were moved inside. Despite this we still got a table. Ordered by a QR code and drinks came in about 5min and food within 20min. Food was decent and cocktail was nice. Definitely an upgrade post the renovations and with a sudden influx of new customers I did expect teething issues. For us though, it was a nice meal during a busy lunch time.

We had a dinner party of 50 over the weekend and Lilly went out of her way to ensure our night ran smoothly ironing out any glitches swiftly and without fuss. She and her team on the night did an amazing job in making sure our reunion party was a resounding success. Thank you Lilly.

We are regular visitors because we love the food. The food is sensational. We have always found the staff to be lovely and helpful. I recommend booking ahead for meal times; they get quite busy. If it is quiet we like to sit inside however outside when there are many people inside due to the noise. We highly recommend The Brook.

The old Brook Hotel, as I knew it has now been re-established as the upmarket hotel with quality accommodation included 👌 The new accommodation at the Brook Hotel opens up in September. Ideally located at 167 Osbourne Rd,Mitchelton QLD 4053, it also has the newly built Dan Murphy's right next door. Some of the old landscapes of the old Brook Hotel are still onsite, such as the Big Fig tree located on the outside area of this establishment, where you relax with a cool beverage & also enjoy a quality pizza 🍕 😀 No costs have been spared with more than adequate space for seating both inside & outside being an important part of the business. If you wish to partake in placing a bet or watching live sporting events, this hotel provides excellent facilities with plenty of television monitoring. There is an excellent gaming area separate from the main restaurant & bar area's that has its own bar area. The kitchen area has extensively been upgraded, along with the bar area's 🍸 👌 😋 The Brook Hotel has an excellent menu selection that caters to everyone's tastes, including people with dietary needs 😀 Wheelchair access throughout this establishment is excellent as everything is on the one level. There are more than enough facilities available for children to play both indoors in an area close to the main restaurant. The outside area at the rear of the premises has facilities for chess games to play or basketball 🏀 to be practised. Outdoor heating is well taken care of, ensuring that when a little chilly, you can still enjoy your time at the Brook Hotel. Adequate parking is available for everyone, including people with a disability. The one thing to consider is ensuring that make a reservation in advance, particularly during the busy periods of the week/weekends. It is an exciting place that caters to the local community & anyone visiting this magnificent area of Brisbane.

The drinks were delicious, the kids meal was delicious. The garlic bread was burnt, my prawn and mango salad had so much dressing and lettuce I couldn't eat it all and my partners fish had soggy flesh and the potatoes weren't nice. We paid over $80 for both meals and feel extremely disappointed and ripped off. The service, however, was fantastic. Greeted upon arrival and very friendly.

The Brook has fast become our go-to place for dining out. Lovely atmosphere, good food, and excellent service. It is popular, so you will need to book in advance, but this only serves to reinforce my positive opinion. I definitely recommend you check it out!

The accomodation offering at this hotel is excellent. Affordable and modern. The rooms were suitably sound proofed. Breakfast was included in our accommodation package. The bedding was comfortable. Shower excellent. We were allocated a car park spot with our room - the car parking is located in the front of the hotel and the car spots are protected by a boom gate. Brookside shopping centre is a short walk from the hotel.

Sadly, we won't be back. The Good: The rooms/venue are lovely, the kids room is a bonus for parents (not much to do in there though?) and the tables by the creek are really nice. The tree outside the front is absolutely stunning. And you can't even see the pokies from the dining room which is a bonus when you're just trying to go out for a nice dinner to a pub. The Bad: We arrived just after 5 pm and to an empty dining room. The front hostess made a big deal of us not having made a booking and told us to find 124 towards the back - we were not escorted to the table. We got there to find a reserved sign. My husband went to investigate, and we were told a different table number outside. Again, we had to find our own way. The food is expensive - 2 meals, a kids meal and a soft drink cost $67. And unfortunately the food is not good; my husband isn't picky at all and he said the burgers at McDonald's were better than what he had. I had the pie. The mash was absolutely awful, the peas were cold and while the pie was hot, it's nothing special. My local bakery does better. I ended up approaching the staff and letting them know all of our food was cold and, frankly, not good. They asked if they could remake the meals - I told them not to bother with the kids' meal, but a new burger would be good. The first was somehow burnt but cold? Another burger, onion rings, and side of fries were brought out. The waitress literally said, "I was told to pass on our apologises". No one came to see how our meals were after, a manager didn't approach us - it felt like everyone was avoiding us - we had to grab someone to ask for the kids dessert to come out. And it still wasn't that hot? I get it, there are always going to be teething issues when a new restaurant opens, but the service, food and value for money leave something to be desired. I've worked as a manager of a busy popular steakhouse in the past so perhaps my standards are too high but when we left more than half our food on the plate, something is wrong. And if we had a complaining customer, you can be sure I'd make sure the replacement meal was perfect before leaving the pass. I'd also go to their table personally and discuss the issues and apologise. It was a disappointing night for our last minute decision to go out for our wedding anniversary.

Phenomenonal! I was blown away by this place! I wasn't expecting much for pub accommodation, and had only booked it as it seemed the best value for a last minute booking. We required 2 beds, which limited availability in the area. I booked this as it had a queen bed plus single sofa bed. I wasn't expecting much for the sofa bed, but it was genuinely very, very confortable! I was actually sorry we were only staying for 2 nights! Literally every aspect of this stay was well above par, and far exceeded my expectations - comfort, value for money, cleanliness, facilities, services, customer service, right down to the hand-written welcome card. Honestly couldn't fault it at all. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

Newly renovated - local pub 👌 Bloody awesome service, modern and great venue ✨️✨️✨️Great ambience, lighting and spacious. Special mention to " Trinity" ,- friendly, very attentive and efficient customer service. Meals came out promptly and were flavoursome. If you love good pub food and great service, this is the place to go. So fresh, tasty, generous servings, and excellent value for money. We ordered the spiced wing and cheesy bacon garlic bread 🍞 for entree. For main, we had the sirloin steak with chips and salad. Certainly something I'll have over and over again. Overall, it is a great choice and a family-friendly restaurant to go .✨️✨️✨️Highly recommended ✨️

My partner and I are local, we really want this place to be amazing. It’s ticking soo many boxes with atmosphere and service. It’s the third time we have eaten there since opening. We gave it a go on the weekend, hoping it had ironed out a few issues and unfortunately the food was disappointing again for dinner. It’s priced fine for pub food but it really needs to step up the quality, produce and portions. Pull a few kitchen staff from the Brunswick and the Creek. There offering is a big step up from the Brook and both are ALH pubs. Maybe look at putting some decent background music on. The Woolworths supermarket playlist doesn’t really cut it for Saturday night.

Mothers Day lunch was fabulous. Very busy but the staff did an outstanding job. Prompt and friendly service in both the dining area and the bar. Room rating was for a previous great experience where we stayed overnight.

Lovely hotel and decor. It would be nice if Gluten Free option was available in the Chefs dessert offer. Not a care was given that only one of us could enjoy the dessert. We (2senior ladies) were not asked where we would like to sit, just directed to a table in the thoroughfare - We asked about sitting outside and told we had 2 option outside on the patio, high tables or the picnic table. We used our initiative and sat under cover at a table that was not reserved or needed in the 2hours we had lunch.

I was very impressed with the staff. While it is menu &me app ordering, it doesn’t allow you to add allergies. While this would normally be a problem, the staff were on it and we extremely attentive. My order came out perfectly modified to accomodate my allergies. Well done!.

I recently visited the newly renovated Brook for my birthday, but unfortunately, it will be my first and last time. I ordered through me&u, but my meal came with cheese and cream, which was not listed. After returning it, I received a replacement that was tasteless and inedible. By then, the rest of my table had finished eating. The venue was overcrowded, and the kitchen was understaffed. I ended up getting a refund and taking my birthday cake home. While the venue has a nice atmosphere, the overwhelmed staff couldn't handle the volume of people. Despite the renovation, I won’t be returning.

I honestly wanted to give them 3 stars but then changed my mind because I rather to give them the chance to get better since it’s a nice venue with a lot of potential to get better. The bar is great even though it looks they are under staffing like many places nowadays Takes 40 minutes to get cocktails so you better get beers or wine Took ONE HOUR for them to bring our food order !!! Since many people are saying this they can manage to fix that and even I as a customer know how to fix it, they should know better

I came here with my partner late on her birthday, close to the closing time of their kitchen. They didn’t have to take our order as their kitchen was minutes from closing. They were super friendly and welcoming and while giving us ample warning of closing times still let us order food and drinks. They then brought out the cake I supplied and even gave my partner a complimentary glass of wine. The staff here are absolutely amazing and created a really welcomed us. We’d never heard of this place but we will definitely be back, plus it helps the food was great too :)

Hubby and I headed here for a quick lunch on a Friday. This place is huge. Lots of seating - indoors and out, what looks like a bocce set-up, and a huge chess set, views of the brook beneath us, friendly and prompt service, and tasty food. I had a steak sandwich with chips, while hubby had a beef burger with chips. We both really enjoyed our meals; hubby always wants more sauce but apart from that... My sandwich was great - lots of bacon, and delicious caramelised onion; the steak was a bit too well-cooked for me, but at least not like cardboard, as often happens in other eateries. Chips were fine (chips are chips). Plenty of parking out front. And I love all the fairy lights! Looking forward to a return visit.

First time back after the huge new renovations/rebuild. The old Brook was awful, I had meals that were still frozen in the middle so the bar was low😅. Well we had lunch today and it was just delicious. Came out in record time. Great portion sizes. My husbands chips were cold 🤷‍♀️, mine were great . His fish and my chicken parmigiana were really good. Atmosphere is great . We will be back, after we've gone back to The Woods Bar first. Got to keep things local 🙂.

Family dinner last night. Rump steak tender and all food great. Staff were really helpful and attentive. The bar lady also made me a lovely bourbon in a fancy glass with a large ice block and burnt orange. Attention to detail and general courtesy from all staff was spot on. The kitchen was pumping and they served great food at a good waiting time. The pub had some poor reviews in the beginning, but our experience was top notch. Keep up the consistency!

Everything here our group enjoyed. From the quick service at the many bar points to the well presented meals. Prices are what you would expect at a quality hotel. Our table was outside with plenty of room to move. There was plenty of seating inside as well. We all enjoyed our Long lunch here & I can definitely recommend this venue. We would certainly come back again.

Disappointing food. Paid $34 for ribs expecting to get something similar to the picture on the menu (attached). Instead the ribs seemed like they had been precooked in a steam oven and then not finished off under the grill. They were called sticky ribs but when they arrived, it was boiled meat with BBQ sauce on it. Really did not match the offering.
