You will find us up on the balcony at the Bulls Head every Sat night of the Queens Bday weekend. The pizzas and pastas are super tasty - plenty of vegetarian options - and the service is always great.

What a wonderful friendly place , my partner had steak and it was cooked perfectly and I had what I could only assume was frozen butter chicken curry and the chicken used was maybe left over chicken as it was burnt black tough and uneatable and the rice hard and dry sadly
But the flavour of the curry was so nice
Most disappointing part was when I showed them the black burnt chicken they said nothing, guess I just expected more
I do hope they don’t fall back into their old ways trying to save money by sacrificing quality .

The burger at this bistro is amazing! Grilled to perfection. The specials were quite good too.

Stopped in here for some lunch recently after seeing the recent makeover and it was great to see a lot of the changes are still in place (including the menu items).
We ordered the Roasted Cauliflower with Cheese Sauce and the Wood Fired Garlic Prawn Pizza and we could not fault either! Both were hot, delicious and incredibly filling!
Only recommendation would be to put some music on within the restaurant as the quiet makes everyone focus on each other’s conversations. That said, the staff were extremely attentive and the service was 10 out of 10.
We would most definitely visit again!!

On a recent visit to Wangaratta we popped in for lunch at the Bulls Head as from the exterior it looked an inviting place to eat. Inside there are cloth covered tables and large photo murals of times gone by. Service was good and staff welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. Lunch menu was mainly pub classics and pizzas. Prices were all very reasonable. We ordered a chicken and smoked salmon wood fired pizza to share between 2 and it was delicious with very generous topping. A very small criticism would be the base could have been cooked slightly longer, however I do like a very crusty base so maybe personal preference here. We would have loved a dessert but we were quite full after the pizza so didn't order one. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this hotel and would recommend to others.

Nice & clean, staff are brilliant very friendly well mannered, now to the food we ordered a steak which was medium rare that was cooked perfect but it was stone cold and all that came with was some chips which were cold and a tiny bit of gravy so that’s a thumbs down then we ordered a Italian pizza the chicken balls that weren’t cooked the pizza okay then we ordered a braised beef hotpot dish, the husband ate it he said it’s okay, the price for what we ordered not Worth it we had to wait an hour to get our food and was cold so recommend this place A BIG NO

My wife and I had lunch here on Wednesday, 17/8/2023. I we ordered a garlic pizza which was fantastic. I then had a butter chicken dish with flat bread, rice, and a beautiful dipping sauce. It was also fantastic, better than some Indian Restaurant s I have been to. My wife had the arencheny balls, and she also loved them. We will definitely go back. Great value for money as well.

I had the barramundi with rocket and mashed potato which was absolutely delicious. My husband had a wood fire pizza which was eaten with gusto.

Had a great experience here the weekend. The kitchen team exelled in what they produced for our family. Scotch eggs where a stand-out.

Great small town hospitality from Mark and staff. Seafood chowder and goat curry was sensational. Looking forward to the next time I stay there.

Great fresh food!
We had lunch here nearly 6 months ago and stopped by to see if the food was still good and it most definitely was!
We ordered the Pork Bao Buns, Chicken Dumplings and the Roasted Cauliflower with Cheese and all were excellent and really tasty.
Service was great and the staff were genuinely happy to have a chat.
Would recommend this place for lunch for sure!

Great food worthy of a trip to Wangaratta.
We came after seeing kitchen nightmares and we were so impressed. The scotch eggs, and especially the wood fired chicken was brilliant. Not to mention the roulade dessert is so good. We felt very welcomed and will be back with friends next time.

Dodged the place from years after ongoing bad feedback from friends..after Colin Fassnidgeis visit 4 of us gave it a go to support a local business..worst thing we could have done, we all ordered various entree's and mains, and we wouldn't score any above a 2/10

Consistently great meals & service, had a lovely facelift.
Meals have been taken back to basics eg pub fare.
Please bring back a few house meal plans and the flare that we are accustom, as you do them well.
If it ain’t broke no need to fix it.

Always receive great service here. Love the boa buns and the arancini balls are fantastic. We recently had the spatchcocked chicken and I'll never eat KFC again 🤣. It was delicious 🥂♥️

Always been a favourite place to visit and the revised menu options take it up a notch. Scotch Eggs and a plate of Dumplings (with Nepalese inspired dip) are a real treat I guarantee you won’t find anywhere else in rural Victoria. Well done ❤️

Absolutley appalling food would not recommend having a function there sandwiches drenched in mayp sausage rolls burnt and dry Arrancini balls terrible and was still ripped off inprice never again for me or my family horrible place
