Yeah, i have been a Toowoomba local all my life. And have always found myself at the Burkey. Back in the day it was Wednesday arvo for $1 pots. But this is now, we stayed there last night 10/05/24 just for the night, for our Anniversary (Mum and Dad time) we arrived to a lovely and welcoming Concierge, great reception area or foyer, what ever you would like to call it. Had great Decor and a reslly amazing vibe. We dealt with Judi she was so nice to deal with made our check in easy and was a spritely conversationalist in between busy phone calls. Thanks Judi. We went upto our room and wow, was the room well presented. Fully stocked mini bar. Not a crease on the bed. Lovely aroma within the room. The spa in the bathroom. Worth the money for the bit of relaxing me and the better half got to do in it. Great stuff. We headed down for dinner in Zaks. Still feeling warm and at home with all yhe friendly staff and smiles. We arrived to a nicely presented reserved table. We order a rib fillet each wimhich came to our table hit and juicy and perfectly cooked. With some yummy sides to compliment. Bar tenders, Keith and Chris. Thabks so much for making some great Amaretto Sours. They were friendly and well presented. Skip the details about our cocktail pubcrawl. Arriving back at hotel at around 11:30pm we were greeted by our mate Keith at the door. Thanks mate. Skip through till morning. Another Spa and downstairs for breakfast, and yes an actual hot buffet breakfast. And still amazing and kind staff. Nothing is a hassle and if your after something in particular they will do their best to help. Overview. Staff - Across the board and whole fscet of the business. Absolutely amazing. You all get 5 stars. Happy and friendly staff show of good leadership. Room - Again i couldn't fault the room. I got exactly what i paid for. 5 stars. Restaurant (Zaks) - Amazing meals, wait staff speedy and ready to help at a moments notice. Fantastic bar service and cocktails. Yummy. Restaurant and staff also gets 5 stars. Well Done. We look forward to our next stay.

Would be better if you were able to use the TV as a proper smart TV and log into apps you have a subscription to instead of casting it from your phone. To cast is very clunky.

We were shocked on the size of the bathroom. It was very small. Everything was very standard. After our function they ran out of hotel guests parking, first choices went to gamblers.. not a 4 star hotel. won't be back

We’ve stayed there for two nights. We enjoyed it, breakfast was good, coffee not our taste but available. The staff was friendly and organized a shortly planned additional night. Unfortunately they do not have a Steamer available. The hotel is close to the city centre and there is a mall close by. Rooms are clean and comfy. Also parking for hotel guests available. Overall a nice pleasant stay.

We always choose to stay here on our trips away , the service and welcoming smile from the front desk is just the start , location is perfect, the luxury king suite is just that , clean and a great size room with spa and softest comfortable bed and pillows , the breakfast , room service and Zacks restaurant don’t disappoint . Recommend

Visited overnight for a show at the Empire. We’re bumped from our original booking at Oaks so we’re pleasantly surprised. The hotel still has lot of its original 70s features but has been nicely modernized. The room was petite but functional. ||Reception service was fine though not overly personable. Service in the restaurant/bar was, however, excellent. Responsive, attentive, and friendly. These folks do customer service exceptionally well.

Very friendly staff. Quick efficient check in check out. Rooms generous size and clean. Reasonably priced. 5-10 min walk to the coach terminus and 5 min walk to the major shopping center. Buffet breakfast was value for money.

This is the hotel I choose to stay at when travelling to Toowoomba for work. It has a bit of an old school, country friendliness vibe to it, which I like and everyone at work tells me they had their wedding reception there! The beds are comfortable and the room well set up for a stay of a night or two. The food on site is good pub food. The staff at reception are fantastic and every time I check in they say 'welcome back' which is nice! Hotel is centrally located and has off street parking (at no cost, unlike some of the other hotels in town).

This hotel is very close to the Empire Theatre. The room may have been small but we’re not in it except to sleep. Josh’s, their restaurant, didn’t disappoint. We had the salt and pepper calamari and the crispy skinned salmon which was cooked to perfection. Service was good.

This hotel is in a great location for accessing some of the local hot spots. The hotel has had a good renovation. The restaurant attached is fantastic for dinner and the breakfast buffet was worth it. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Toowoomba.

The staff and room were awesome. Really impressed with the location, cleanliness and the friendly staff. Always wanting to accomodate you as best as possible. Great food in their restaurant down stairs also. Unfortunately I would suggest taking photos of your mini bar on arrival and exit as they will charge you for nothing taken. This is why I left only three stars. Overall though, highly recommended.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly coming around and cleaning up plates. There was a variety of food to select for breakfast and staff were continually refilling the food. It would be great if they had waffles or pancakes at the buffet and muesli to go with the fruit and yogurt. The bacon was fatty but you could easily pull it off. We were here for Mother’s Day and were hoping for some balloons or flowers on the table. Overall we a very good restaurant, I will be back.

Staff were so accommodating, friendly, and professional as it was an unexpected trip. They were able to get me a room with my 6 month old baby, also being able to keep my room if needed to stay another night. Great location so close to the hospital. Rooms were very neat, tidy, and clean. The room was great. Will definitely stay again. Your vehicle was safe and secure.

Overall a very good hotel. Positives: Location My room (superior queen 6th floor) was spacious, very clean, quiet despite being close to lift and also didn't hear any noise from hallway or neighbouring rooms which I appreciate very much, comfy bed. Very friendly and helpful staff Very fast and efficient check in/out. 24 hrs reception Negatives: In the room, shampoo...all single use packaging. No reading light, there is a dimmable ceiling light but I personally prefer a table lamp. NO FREE water, not even a jug to use tap water. Mini bar offers water from overseas for $6.50/ bottle Lift is really slow Optional part My biggest issue was breakfast for $27.90. I opted to have breakfast for 1 morning. There is a conservatory attached where u can sit which is lovely otherwise it's in a room that reminded me a lot of eg RSL places. The variety and quality was disappointing. There is tea or use of a nescafe machine. Any other coffee is at an extra cost. 2 choices of bread, no cold meats, no cheese, no soft-boiled eggs, single packed butter, jam... Fruit choice was nice. 1 kind of joghurt. 3 options of single pack cereal. Eggs (poached), bacon, sausages. 3 varieties of ,pastries, that don't really deserve the name. Inedible. Yeah big let down, that's why I gave hotel 4 instead of 5 stars

Our group of four visited Kingaroy recently and had dinner at the Explorer restaurant. All the meals were absolutely delicious and very quick to arrive. We’ll definitely be back!

I always love staying at the Burke and Wills Hotel when in Toowoomba. The atmosphere and decor are of a high quality, and the rooms are very comfortable.....cannot fault it. The staff also I have found, is always very pleasant and welcoming. However, this time I was unfortunate enough to strike possibly the only member of staff who was decidedly abrupt, unhelpful and annoyingly robotic....an older lady. Nevertheless I am not allowing this to stop me from giving an overall 5 star rating.....I am putting it down to a one off.|The hotel`s central position is also great. Right smack in the centre of the city, and just across from the car park to the Empire theatre, which I attend in the evening for a show. The dining room is really very good with good solid food and attentive professional staff. I will certainly will be staying here again when next in town.

Had an emergency trip to Toowoomba late at night and this was the only hotel available because it was show time. The place was amazing and the welcome was friendly. Thank you Nikki. Despite being in the centre of Toowoomba I heard no outside noise. Shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. Beds were comfy.

Great 1 night stay over the Easter long weekend. Staff were great and the hotel itself has everything you need but also is in a great location to walk down the main streets. Highly recommend for anyone needing to stay in Toowoomba

Clean. Small room, but plenty big enough for a night. Good to have dining facilities on-site. Staff very friendly. Would stay again. Centrally located. Would be good to have one card validated on checking-in for parking, but presume that would reduce car parking for patrons not staying at the hotel.

B & W Hotel is in the heart of Toowoomba and ideal for a visit to this lovely town/ city. It seems to be very new and has a grand entrance, lots of parking, a popular restaurant, Zacks, and bar (with very good food), 24 hour gym and gaming room. Our queen bed room was spacious, beautifully appointed with a very comfy bed and pillows, a very large TV (that was well placed), coffee pod machine and a well stocked mini bar (extra payment, of course!). The bathroom was very large with a spa tub, excellent towels and great water pressure. The breakfast buffet at $27 was very good, with a wide selection of items. The scrambled eggs (a test of a good buffet!) and bacon were excellent and the Nescafe pod coffee machine was good, but barista coffee was also available for an extra fee. Staff were friendly. Great place to stay if you are in Toowoomba!

Absolute poor service by a certain staff member ( L ) who fasely accuses paying customers at a private function, denies them entry after attending the toilet . without any reason at all. All guests stood by and vouched for us, but this female staff member clearly had a issue ? This is being taken further! Other staff members could not apologise to us enought for this person's actions .!

Absolutely loved our stay! We paid the extra for the spa room on the 6th (top) floor, was definitely worth the price; our room was so lovely we decided to not leave the hotel. Would visit Toowoomba again just to stay here, the meal at the pub was the best pub meal we’ve had in a long time too
