Went for lunch today and ordered a special $12 battered Barramundi, chips and salad, it was delicious
Lunch specials Tuesday to Saturday, 3 choices, great value, will certainly be going back there

Visited while visiting a friend in Toogoom. Nice place to stop for lunch. It was warm outside and the air-conditioning was working well. Food was nice.

My partner and I are presently visiting BH's from interstate. We are both keen bowlers, so decided to visit the BH Bowls Club this afternoon to play social barefoot bowls, and have an evening meal after. We thoroughly enjoyed the barefoot bowls. Congratulations to those who organised, and made us most welcome. After, we ordered our meals in the dining room. I decided on the Bangers and Mash from the Chefs board. When our meal was delivered I could not believe what I had been dished up. Two small dry sausages, on a bed of bland mash, served in a bowl. What a joke! And, the size was more like a child's meal. I refused to eat the meal, and was then refunded my money. Thank you to the young staff member for handling my complaint. Very professional.

Lady behind the bar was to busy complaining about some locals to serve to 2 people waiting for a drinks. Food was very average, they charge $15 for fresh homemade salt and pepper calamari and it was definitely not homemade and not fresh it was frozen from a packet I mean in there defence the lable on the packet might say fresh homemade but for $15 you get 5 pieces with aioli. Kitchen Did seem very chaotic and understaffed. had a better meal down the road at the tavern for less and when you walk up to the bar at the tavern the bar staff serve you straight away

I waited at least 1 and a half hours to get my food and they also don’t do milkshakes. Killed my day. The lawn bowls isn’t even a lawn it’s just stuff laid over. food was horrible anyways. No flavour on snitzel and chips were soggy and tasteless.

It’s a real shame that whenever we come through the bowls club that in order to get a cocktail we need to make sure in advance that Mel is not working as she continues to refuse as it seems like too much effort. We would love the bowls club otherwise however whilst she is there we will continue going to the burrum heads hotel which always has great customer service and cocktails regardless of who is working.

I had the salt n pepper squid, it was fresh & quite tasty
Would recommend it again

I don't want to recommend the pork ribs because I want to have them again next Friday 🤣 So delicious and generous portion. Friendly staff.

I Arrived at Burrum heads bowling club for lunch at around 11:45 am for lunch with family and friends,my partner.
I am Returned Veteran from Afghanistan
I have Service care dog as I suffer from server PTSD and anxiety impairments
On arrival the lady at reception said to me I'm not sure if your service care dog is allowed inside only guide dogs and she would check with the bar lady if it was ok I was faced with NO only outside were you can sit with your dog. being confused I followed there direction as they said it is not allowed and illegal to have my care dog with me inside my Family and friends turned up they said that they couldn't sit outside as there age and sickness wouldn't allow half of them to sit outside as we traveled a distance I found me and my Partner outside seperated from family and friends
And descrimated against .
When I have been to many clubs and pubs accepting 🐕🦺 service care dogs also to add to it hearing patrons talking about us
It's disgusting our services dog was trained to care for returned Veteran service person who served there country you should be ashamed of your rules as club and add I had the crumbed chicken breast that had been over cooked and dry Dianne sauce and to leave without able to say good bye to family and friends and wrecking there day to .

Great set up. Good range on the menu and choice of cold and hot beverages . Two synthetic greens . No-one to advise about the bowling side of the club was a bit of a negative .

Great friendly place - have been coming here for years and never been disappointed.
Good food with a friendly atmosphere and helpfull staff.
Good choice of beers, wines & spirits. Going back tomorrow!!

Great food and no long wait any more even if they are busy . Fantastic staff. Very friendly new GM.Good raffles Friday night and Saturday night. The only air-conditioned full venue in Burrum heads.

Enjoyed a steak and veggie dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful, food was fresh and delicious. Grabbed a lift back to Burrum Heads in the courtesy bus. Driver was friendly and fun.

As I have worked in hospitality I often understand there's no point in getting angry with staff for the wait for food. Therefore I'm coming to the reviews to beg you guys to get another chef (it seems you only have one atm). I've been waiting an hour and 20 minutes for an entree and our 2 dishes. Staff are great, but this wait time is ridiculous.

A nice easy going atmosphere. Been travelling for over 2 months and your food was the best we've had in that time.

Always wanted to dine here over the past couple of years. I should have done it ages ago.
Meal prices are reasonable and service was great. The chef knows the right way to keep me going back. Counter staff do it well. Friendly place to be.
Good range of meal options.
All in all very happy.
This could end up being a frequent 10 to 14 day ritual or even less days than that.

Always a delight. And value for money with a beautiful rump steak, chips and salad and a freezing cold beer or wine for $25.00 and all the staff and friendly and helpful. What's not to like?
