Website made it look 50x better than it was. Food was overpriced, even the $12special fish, chips & salad. 1pce of Boxed battered fish cooked to barely any fish left inside the batter, some dry shredded beetroot, carrot & something else (from a packet no doubt) with a bit of mixed lettuce & some chips- hard to go wrong but undercooked and not very warm at all.

The Surf and and Turf Lunch was amazing cooked to perfection Served with chips and a delicious fresh garden salad Service was friendly and very obliging and meal arrived quite quickly Would recommend it as must do while in Canberra Was easy to find and is very popular with the locals Young and Old

The steaks use to be good but today they were very bad ☹️ (too grisly and hard). My wife and I did not could eat it. They really need to improve the food quality.

The movie deal is $17.50 offered 7 days a week either lunch or dinner.
You get to choose between a steak, chicken schnitzel or battered fish. All three come with chips and greens. Sauces for steaks are $1 more. Portions are not huge but average.
This $17.50 deal gives you 1 Dendy movie voucher which can be redeemed at a Dendy cinema (usually valid for 2-3 months from the day).
You do need to be a member to dine at the Labour Club. Membership fee is $5.50 for 1 year or $11.00 for 3 years. You get a free drink voucher and a meal discount voucher on your birthday month each year which more or less covers the cost of membership. Members can bring in unlimited number of guests on unlimited occasions.

The chicken parmigiana was delicious. Services was very friendly. They don't have apple cider on tap which was disappointing. But I enjoyed my meal very much with a beer.

The bar is great service very friendly and attentive! food section on the other hand is horrible. I waited 5 minutes to get coffee because they were busy chatting in the back. This isnt the first time I'm experienced this. The chef the servers all need training on customer service and manners on how to talk to people.

Small pokies club with minimal seating. Bookings for meals otherwise bit of a crush. Meals are front bar standard, nothing special. Utilitarian is a good description.
Staff mostly nice and friendly.

Reliable place in the heart of the city for a bacon and egg roll plus coffee breakfast and good lunch.

My partner and I rented out the mezzanine level for our engagement party. The whole process was flawless - the staff were lovely to deal with and the facilities were great (private bar, toilets, jukebox). Well priced, finger food was great. Highly recommended!

Had breakfast this morning and One of the best breakfasts. Wonderful helpful and friendly staff. Quick service, great price and definitely enough food to fill us up. Will go back next time we are down.

Friendly staff. Well priced dinner. A smaller much quieter club. A very nice alcoholic ginger beer, very refreshing is sold here.

Food was fantastic Brooze was a good price mind you that was only with this member discount but overall the club is not too bad it is a bit small for my liking but it is the city it's to be expected.

Feel sorry for the understaffed kitchen. I had to wait over an hour for a bacon and egg roll. I wanted to leave but didn't want to bother the staff in asking for a refund. Eventually I just couldn't wait anymore and had to go looking for someone to refund me and cancel my order so I could leave.

Depressing pokies venue. Only thing that made this place good for a late night drink was the staff but most of the good ones seem to have moved on. Location and mezzanine level have so much potential- remove the pokies from upstairs and install a proper sports bar/tab and you might have a decent venue and patrons wanting to visit for something other than pokies or toilets.

Cheap and cheerful. Very large serve of food. I had prawn cutlets as an entree with a chicken parmigiana for the main. Yummy but the size got the better of me and I couldn't polish off the main. Best for me to skip the starter next time!
Staff very polite and frieny. Prices reasonable for the heart of the city.

Before the labour club moved it had a really good full breakfast for $11 it was the best. No more. Now for$12 you get eggs on toast. No good labour club,, no good😡

Barely capable bar staff, management lost in the wind. The best I can say for this venue is that the kitchen & kitchen staff therein always come up with the goods. Great food, lousy bar service. 'nuff said.

Awesome staff and place to get a bacon and egg roll and coffee for $7.40.
You can also get lunch (steak, chicken schnitzel or fish & salad or vege) and a Dendy movie ticket for $19!
Its open weekdays from 9am until midnight Sun - Weds and open until 1am Thurs- Sat.

Always feel welcome by the warm greetings from foh staff. The size makes it quaint and the service is consistent. Good place to stop for a breather and a treat.
