We may be bias but we absolutely love the CSCC. We had our wedding reception here in 2007 and always love visiting the place whether it’s for dance competitions or to catch up with family/friends
Food is always delicious and we just love the atmosphere.

We had the Grilled Salmon and Fishermen's basket. The food was excellent. We ate in the Patio. It was quiet, intimate, and relaxing. The windows give a nice view of the outside. The service was friendly and so quick. We were very pleased with the experience.

We come to SCC Woden quite often, and enjoy the club's atmosphere and of course the happy hour and food.
The staff are great, but a big shout out to Jenny who is a supervisor in the dining and bar area. She is always helpful and focused on making sure everyone gets what they need. Thank you Jenny!

We bought the dinner & show tickets to see Strassman's the Chocolate Diet.
Hubby had the steak which he said was good, though they weren't cooked to customers preference. I had the chicken and couldn't fault it.
Venue was clean & nice, staff were helpful with directions. Carpark was full when we arrived over an hour before the show, we luckily got a park in the open Westfield one across the road

The steak and wine Mondays is a very good deal. My steak was perfectly medium rare, the chips are nice and crunchy and the wine is great. Quite a lively spot for a Monday as well.

The arcade rigged. They use double sticky tape on the chocolate machine to into trick kids into thinking they can win a prize. I would’ve left zero stars if possible.

So the pumpkin ravioli with burnt butter & sage was a huge disappointment. Firstly, the burnt butter was olive oil, secondly the 'pumpkin ravioli' insides tasted like an overcooked egg yolk. Finally, if there was sage on there, it wasn't toasted sage leaves, but sage flakes... Very disappointed.
I realise now the only good thing the Southern Cross is for is the cheap happy hour.

Person was in rush to make us eat quickly and keep reminding everyone of us that dinner kitchen is closing at 9pm. We heard you bro. Just let us enjoy the time we want to spend with family instead of poking us again n again. Above this this person wanted to make us order quickly the dessert. We can't take this quick decision in less 5 minutes. Lame service but not everyone is like that. Other people and staff were great.

One of the worst front desk guy ever, I didn't know you were dealt according to the colour of your skin. The guard guy was absolutely helpful and calm compared to the guy in suit. Incase you forgot how you should deal with a customer, maybe try going back to the hospitality industry. Absolutely disappointed with the guy.
Don't know if he had the power to yell and kick a member out of the building just because he felt disrespected. Entitled douche.

No booking!!! No problem the staff told us to go and enjoy the club and they would call us. $200 winnings later and we got a call andtrhe winnings covered the night. Loved it. Responsible gambling though okay?!

Nice place and environment but the food standard need to be improved!. Last night a group of us attended and ALL our beef dishes were ..... OVER cooked, if not burnt.
I order my steak and wanted it to be cooked medium, but it was very well done and tough. It was burnt in the outside and we'll truly cooked in the inside.
The sauce was supposed to be mushroom, but besides getting the color right, it tasted something completely " u mushroom".
The pizzas were nice and salads fresh and drinks fine.
The steak and chips were given a very generous topping if salt, too much!
Disappointed in the outing, except the company, waste of time.
Please advise executive chef to check it out before memberships check out with our feet to alternative venue.

My partner and I went to the club to see Hindley street country club band and what a very impressive venue to accommodate such a large band we also had dinner before the show we drove from the South coast of New South Wales to Canberra a 3 hour run just to see this band at that very impressive venue

I recently had my birthday dinner one week ago at the Canberra Southern Cross club. It might be suitable for just a normal night out but I would not recommend it for a special occasion.
Originally when my husband made the booking, he explained that this was for a birthday dinner and for us to be seated somewhere nice. He also enquired about setting up a bar tab to which they said no problem.
When we arrived we had been placed right next to the pool tables. We could not hear ourselves think let alone speak to one another. The staff behaved as though we were being a bother. I can’t lie they were quite rude. And it took unnecessarily long to set up a simple bar tab. My aunt asked if we could be moved to the empty table next to us where we were not in danger of being hit in the head by the pool queues while a bunch of rowdy men played a game, and the noise level would be a bit less at the next table. The staff member asked why we wanted to move and upon the explanation they simply said no, because in their opinion it would not make any difference. That table remain empty for the rest of the night.
I hate being a Karen and I am normally not a confrontational person, but at this point I asked for the manager and explained the situation again, and asked to be moved a table further away which had become available. The manager I have to admit was nice and got that table cleaned and we were able to move.
The whole experience was very underwhelming and I doubt we will ever eat there again. The food was good and the manager was helpful. If it wasn’t for those two factors I would’ve given the Canberra southern crust club 1 star.

Invited by my friend to catch up for lunch here before Christmas. Spacious dining area with kids play area which was handy to keep the kids occupied so that the adults can have a chat. Food was quite nice & price was not too bad. Buy an adult meal & get a kids meal free. Lady by the name Victoria who served me was very lovely & polite. Lady who got our parking tickets verified was very lovely too!

I love coming to this place, and the facility is simply perfect for families, and the service was great too; the 3 stars are only from the above point.
However, I ordered the prawn pasta last night, and they were atrocious ; I'm not usually fuss, but i couldn't eat it, however great response from the lady in charge .
Seriously, guys, you have such a great facility that deserves a lot more care from kitchens team.

Had Sunday dinner at the club and wasn’t disappointed. I like the big open space and lively atmosphere. The food wasn’t bad with decent serving sizes for each dish. The service was pretty good too.

Hadn’t visited for a few year, was pleasantly surprised on the atmosphere and quality of food.
Definitely an improvement on what I remember!

Had dinner in the patio area , service was very slow and we then get told we have 10 mins before they shut the area we are in , bit strong when we had to eventually chase them to get Dessert menu , the food was ok .

Great atmosphere. A mix of dining and casual seating, couches in front of the fire are an awesome place to sit on a chilly Canberra evening. Had the wood fire pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The venue is clean, modern and offers a menu with variety.

Good deal for happy hour drink 4-6 pm 🍻
Tried Schnitzel parmigiana, tasted OK.
Enjoyed it on Tuesday deal. Worth it.

Food is delicious! Suit to the price and the ambiance is so cool and relaxing. Staff are very accomudating and polite! Places that you must visit.

Excellent location for my nephews 5th birthday party. The food was brilliant and accommodated any allergies with no issues at all. The play area was well kept and had plenty for the kids to do.

booked a table in the patio, a good quite place so was able to talk, sevice was reasonable, tabe was set nicely and food was liked. by everyone.

Best pizza in Canberra(pesto chicken pizza)
Amir make the best pizza we ever eat. We go every sunday to play snooker and amir alway make our pizza its great. Also great food and environment.highly recommended.Thanks Amir and southern cross Team

Attached are photos are mashed potatoes and a medium rare steak.
Also had Burger which was so dry.
All almost inedible.
Also we were keen on pizzas which there was none.
They were on menu and only told when ordered.
Also chocolate machine was out of order so went home hungry.
Also beer did not taste good and no Reschs.

$27 for two bowls of chips and a gravy - I was surprised with the price and the quality of the food has gone down. Won't be going back again. Very disappointed. I feel for the Pensioners who go for feed on Sunday, how will they afford to go every week like they use too.
