When out for lunch as I normally do,to try different place for the experience,unfortunately took over 25min for our meals to arrive, the place wasn't that busy. Its annoying when other people who order after me were served earlier. I only order the lunch special.
Disappointing with the size of the meal, the fish pices were chewy along with the calamari.
First and last time I'll will be making the drive to this taven.

We were not served the entree we ordered and I had to go back to service to rectify. Our steaks were tough and not cooked as ordered and the vegetables and chips were barely warm. We had to have the steak orders redone and the vegetables were the same. I ordered the chicken wings and crispy zucchini this time which was a mistake as the zucchini was bitter and the chicken wings were dry, and instead of the sauce coating them it was a puddle at the bottom of the plate. My son’s pasta did not come until 1 and a half hours into the meal when the replacement meals were done and was barely warm, over salted, and missing the chicken ordered extra. My husbands Dolphin Burger had to have the tomato removed as it was not fresh and he did not get his onion rings as ordered. Meals came at different times and were all over the place. The quality did not match the menu description or price and the manager neither apologised nor offered any recompense for the horrible food. It was my birthday dinner and when I got home I actually threw up the food it had made me sick, then I cried because my birthday dinner was absolutely ruined. Based on this I would neither recommend them nor go again. I do wonder if there has been a management and cook change because on previous occasions when we went this had not been the case. The service had been good and the food hot, tasty, and exactly as ordered. After today’s experience however I will never go there again. As a table we paid $172 for absolute rubbish food and terrible service.

We had lunch in the Sports Bar. The staff were friendly & efficient and brought everything we needed out to us. The food was good. Best rissoles, mash & gravy. My calamari was good too, lots of salad & chips. The meals were a good size & good value.

We come here multiple times a week, staff are great, amazing with kids (it can be hard to find a place that is so warm with your kids)
Service is awesome and food always fast and beautiful quality for the cheapest price you will find on the peninsula.
Always love coming to our fave and playing keno.

Wasn't too crowded when we went for lunch. Noise levels were good that you could hold a conversation without straining.
Good choice of seats. Tables weren't too close to each other. Good pub style food that arrived in a reasonable time. Steak was done just how I like it.
Overall good experience & would go back in the future.

Took our girls out for dinner, the food was super quick, even with a busy restaurant, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The chips were fresh and crunchy and soft on the inside and the salad was also delicious. Best meal out for the family. The kids love the children’s play area. The team are doing an amazing job. Love coming to our local!

The service is incredible in the dining room. The staff are on top of things, really helpful when seating us and very friendly. They were also training new staff and very kind to each other.
It was a nice lunch out and prices are very affordable.

The on table ordering system doesn't work very well. We ordered drinks in the bistro, but no one was there to serve us, which led to a 15-minute wait. We had to go to the bar 8n the next room to ask if someone could serve us. The service in the bistro area was almost non-existent.
The food was quite ordinary at best. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was a little bigger than a chicken nugget. This was the smallest chicken schnitzel i have ever seen. The table next to us got much larger schnitzels. The creamy garlic sause was watery and had no flavour.
The Dolphins burger was very tasty and a good size.

Staff are always amazing. The food is always delicious. Was very busy in there today but the food came out quite fast and again never an issue

Shout out to Tracey and Sharon.. these girls are worth their weight in gold! These girls should be teaching the rest of your staff!!!
I go to a lot of different pubs with boring and slow bar staff and vow to never go back
Quick.. efficient..and friendly… Tracey and Sharon are reason enough to keep coming back

Shout out to their amazing staff member SHAZ and every other staff member for their outstanding service and making us feel so welcomed. Cant forget about the food !! It was so delicious and goodd !!

My partner and I came for dinner tonight and it has been the best experience the food was so flavoured and tender it melted in our mouths. It was also very hot and so fresh.

Manager lady was awesome and very helpful.
Chef organised a parmi very fast after we received our meals and we realised I forgot to order that meal with the other 5 meals.
I got a membership card straight away to collect future discounts.

Local one for us. Food is good honest pub food at a reasonable price.
Can be a bit noisy when a lot of people are dining.
Staff do look after you though.
Kitchen is reasonable when it comes to meal requests.

I have a few food restrictions and every time I come the food is fantastic if you want to customise your burger a bit they let you and if there is anything wrong they will fix it fast with no problems I always leave with a fully belly of great food and the staff are always lovely definitely recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻

Great size meals, very reasonably priced especially the deals like the lunch special and Managers Suggestions. Staff are very friendly and Peninsula Power Football Club have meat tray raffles every Friday afternoon. Well worth taking the family down for a meal. Great Community Support.

Good service,happy friendly staff.Not to busy.Steak lunch was awesome. Will be going back here now for my counter lunches when I'm in the area. Good stuff 😀

Friendly affable staff. Meals were delivered quickly and as ordered. The same with the drinks. My only complaint would be that they didn't warn me the portion size for my meal was huge. I had to get a take-away container for the left overs. Will return and highly recommend to others.

Food was amazing. Hands best chicken parmi you can get. Very filling. Don’t know what salad dressing they use but nothing beats it

First time to this tavern and wasn’t disappointed. Roz and the other bar staff on last night were so accommodating 10/10 best customer service ever. The Stone and Wood was so cold and the chips were 1st class.

First time at the Captain Cook Tavern, popped in for a quick meal with my daughter. We ordered the 500g rump with mash and veges and a Caesar Salad with chicken. It's very hard to get the perfect med rare, well the Chef nailed it. Both meals were great. The service was excellent and very friendly staff to boot.

Finished work thought I'd have a meal and a few brews midday Saturday.
Ordered the barramundi with calamari as an extra and wow my meal was the next level
The meal from fish to vege was awesome I was soo impressed

Decided to try this venue before attending an evening movie. The place is clean and tidy and not too noisy despite the proximity of the many poker machines. Menu is fairly standard fare so I tried the chicken parmigiana whilst my partner choose the fettuccine carbonara which was on a specials menu. The meals are a good sized and were served nice and hot. The chicken Parma was okay served with a small salad and chips. My partner enjoyed her pasta and it was quite tasty. Meals were served reasonably quickly and the staff seemed to make an effort to keep the place clean and tidy. A nice enough venue and meal without being remarkable.

Arrived for a meal just after 1pm today to be told I had to wait to be served. I was in the public bar. Why was the staff prepping food in the public bar service area. Absolutely disappointed, is my money not good enough. Need staff that actually know what their job and can work under pressure. Pathetic. Do you have no respect for food hygiene. I will be reporting this to food health and safety.
