Wow, amazing service & food, called in today, kitchen not open, but the beautiful chef Michelle had called in , possibly for a drink :)
No trouble, cooked us the best hamburger I’ve ever had & great fish & chips! Thankyou soo much ❤️ & owner so friendly & happy
Great country hospitality at it best, look forward to our next trip to Carcoar 10/10

What a great A Day. Celebrated with a lovely mix of excellent locals from near and far. Kent Eastwood's Music was superb and on the vibe.
All Up an Excellent Grub and watering hole in the Scrub.

What a find! Parked our van out the back, had a great meal with warm and welcoming staff and locals.

What a find!! Can't speak highly enough of this little gem...book no other when heading to Carcoar....
After a long day on the road on our 25th anniversary, heading back to Victoria we found this hidden đź’Ž.
Room very basic, bed,fan,
sink and walldrobe, no TV,air-conditioning or mod cons, but look past that, work in progress! Shared amenities too.

Jodie remember you are platinum,best barmaid NSW .... you handled the patrons that had no idea that manners are free and clearly money doesn't buy them! (added to the nights entertainment)... you know what I'm talking about...keep being you... just fabulous !
Shaun and your gorgeous wife, thank you so much for giving us your best room! We will be back for sure...good old hospitality! If you choose to camp, there is free camping out the back as long as you buy a few drinks or meal... food is available Thursday to Sunday and well priced. Take a drive around the town ,very scenic...Get behind this little đź’Ž

We had a lovely lunch today. My scotch was cooked exactly how I like it. The young man serving in the dining room was very friendly and his customer service skills were fantastic.

We celebrated a birthday dinner here, taking over almost the entire dining area. A big thanks to Shaun and his team for their work in bringing it all together. Good food, excellent service and smooth communication made for a great night.

Very busy the night we went. Took a while for meals to arrive, which is understandable. Portions need to be a bit bigger than half a small piece of barramundi. Tables need to be revarnished as very sticky and our clothes kept sticking to them. Excellent entertainment, guy playing guitar and singing.

This beautiful original country pub with good service & high quality meals is situated in a gem of a period town. A few artisan shops and high end restaurants make this small town a must visit.

The pub had a great atmosphere. Friendly service and locals. Food was great. Accommodation was as advertised… clean and comfortable. New owners were very accommodating and were doing a fantastic job. Had a fun weekend with friends. Easy ro explore other places in the area.

Stumbled on the Hotel after a interesting walk around the colonial Village that is Carcoar. The Hotels’s young publican’s are awesome so I stayed for a counter lunch and a few great tasting beers. There is a Nice dining area and even bigger beer garden out the back, but I enjoyed having a beer at the bar and then sitting out the front watching the world go by in a historic village talking to the locals 👍👍. Shame I didn’t tee it up when they had a band on. There is a Big grassed area out the back for parking and caravans👍

Stumbled in on a freezing night when our camper trailer road trip was seeming a bit hard core. We were treated to a wonderful night chatting with the locals playing pool then a delicious dinner with craft beers and a local red. Simple hotel accommodation was all we needed. The warm hospitality at the hotel and morning walk taking in the towns gardens and historic buildings made this a highlight of our trip. Many thanks royal hotel carcoar 5 stars From Brooke and Greg

Stopped in for lunch. What a great place! Huge beer garden out the back, perfect for groups and four legged friends. Food from the specials board was wonderful, kitchen staff super friendly and chatted about locally sourced ingredients We loved it and will definitely be back

Stayed here for a night as friends were having a wedding in the area and the accommodation is delightful. Comfortable bed. Great shower / bathroom facilities (shared) - it did have a little sink in the room which was handy. My room was joined to the huge verandah. Staff were really friendly. Fantastic little country pub where a weary traveller can rest their head. Sadly didn't get to eat at the bistro! but I did get a good coffee across the road in the morning.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and loved it. Such beautiful scenery from the front of the pub and the back. Shout out to Shaun and workers for being total legends, all so so friendly. Gonna miss the warm atmosphere of this place.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Basic , but we knew before we booked. Great hosts , great atmospher and great time. |Great chef , service and food, most of the menu tried during our stay , no complaints.

Popped over for lunch from Orange on Sunday. It was 1pm on Sunday afternoon and let’s just say the service and food was less than 1 star. Waited over an hour for our lunch. Chef / Cook could only work on one table at a time. My chicken arrived with the worst smell / metallic taste, I couldn’t eat it. At no time were we told that there would be a long / excessive wait for our food. The “manager” just wondered around like a deer in headlights. Will not be returning, even with a refund for my lunch….

Our 2nd visit to Carcoar, this time we are camped behind the Royal Hotel. Shaun the owner is very friendly, the pub as an awesome atmosphere. Food yummy. Carcoar is known , As The Town Time Forgot. Do yourself a favor and come on down. The pub is a great place to start

Had a nice birthday lunch here ,service was good food great and prices reasonable , very hot so needed a/C but thoroughly enjoyed our visit

Exceptional food. Warm and friendly service. Country hospitality at its finest. The Carcoar Royal Hotel is the best of pub dining in a village steeped in history. Make a detour to The Royal. You won't be disappointed.

Every time I come here it is a great experience. Friendly, considerate staff, great bistro, live music and entertainment, no pokies, big grassy beer garden… keep it up!

Don’t stay here! Stayed one night in their accommodation over Easter. The rooms had cracked walls, one of the rooms had major water damage and mould from the next door bathroom. Management allowed the bar patrons to play pool and create a lot of noise until after 3am so there was no getting any sleep for the guests staying in the accommodation. People were smoking and talking outside our rooms until well into the early hours…really selfish and inconsiderate behaviour that went unchecked.
