Went here for a family double party, ordered a chicken schnitzel (w/ chips + salad) ... the chicken was microwave re heated was moist for fist and second bites rest was like rubbery hard to cut and chew, salad was over dressed. Chips were the most consistently average. Won't order that again. 28$ I can go to my local pub and get it freshly made and not microwaved.

We come here regularly and are usually very happy. Just a bit disappointed last week with the lack of service provided. There was multiple staff on yet no one came to clean out plates up even when it was clear we were all finished eating. When we asked for the cake to be brought out they did but still didn’t take away dirty dishes. We ended up having to completely clear the table ourselves before cake could be served. The wait staff watched us literally carry plates back to the kitchen and said nothing. No one offered to help. Bit disappointed as the place was practically empty at this stage and as paying customers we shouldn’t be doing the wait staffs job for them. Otherwise was a pleasant evening.

Visited on Friday night for the first time since its refurb and was most impressed. The food was outstanding- hubby said the ribs were the best he's had anywhere in a long time. We spent some time in the gaming room (sadly not a winner) and in the bar to watch the footy. It was pleasing to see the staff pitching in to help across all areas of the venue and their service was fantastic. My only recommendation would be is to have some more comfortable seating (lounge or lounge chairs) to view sport rather than bar stools. Other than that, a great venue!! We will be back again.

The three of us were shown to out table. First impressions of the venue were okay. Typical hotel you could say. The menu was pretty decent. My wife and step son chose corn fritters for starters. I chose the Fried chicken. The corn fritters according to the two of them were very nice. My chicken was a little dry and bland. No taste at all. Disappointed. For mains, my stepson and myself ordered the open souvlaki and my wife wanted the Chicken Scallopini. My wife enjoyed her meal. Cannot say the same for the souvlakis. The Lamb was so swimming in oil or fat. Little or no salad and the souvlaki wraps were bone dry. Like cardboard. Filled one up with filling and really struggled to eat it. Worst souvlaki I have ever tasted. Asked my stepson what he thought. One word. Terrible. One other point. My stepson ordered drinks via the QR code. We waited ages. In the end, after the mains had been served, he had to query a server where our drinks were. They finally served drinks half way through mains. We had coffee and tea afterwards. That was the best part for me. Coffee was good. Summing up, the staff were very pleasant and efficient. As for the food? Well. Already know what we thought. What mark? Hmmm. Really struggling to give the experience 5 out of 10.

The open lamb souvlaki was great. However, the wait time for some dishes was quite long, with certain items taking an extra 20 minutes to arrive.

The chicken scallopini was absolutely delicious. They were also able to cater to our party’s diverse needs (vegetarian, gluten free). Good play area for the little ones as well.

Sadly the food has gone down hill in a big way. They refer to a stack of heated chicken loaf with gravy being a roast of the day. Considering the climate we live in and the cost of dining out now- this is really disappointing. Lift your game guys as this is pretty shamefull.

Recently had my partners 30th here and it was lovely. Almost everyone said their food was great and it came out super fast! They went above and beyond storing and serving our birthday cake to all 3 of our tables. Some staff were friendly than others but it definitely didn't impact the enjoyment of the night. We were however sat in a different section to what we booked but it ended up being a better space anyway. All in all it was a great night with out friends and family. Thank you Costello's! We will be back!

Passing through Pakenham on one of our random trips, and decided to call in for a meal. It was great. The prices were fair, but the servings HUGE... and they were great. So. Anyone passing through, definitely put this place on your list. Parking: On site, plenty of spaces. Wheelchair access; Not a problem in the car parks,a disabled access bay near the front door. Access into the venue front and back is easy.

On 17th December 2023, I took my family to Castello’s and it was a nice experience. Food was pretty good and didn’t have any issues except the fact that while paying for my food, due to the EFTPOS machine error my card was charged twice. I did not realise this and left the restaurant. Later that night while checking my transactions, I saw that it had charged me twice. After making several trips and phone calls, for months, they kept saying either, the management is away, or accounts team is verifying. The last couple of times they said that though money was debited from my account they have not received it. I was quite upset that it’s not a huge amount but the distress and the service made sure I won’t be ever going back there. I will consider I have donated the $100. For reference I have attached the screenshots from my Bank statement where you can see the exact same amount debited twice. I never post negative reviews for anyone but this is a PSA.

My second time here. Delicious food, friends loved their choices of seafood soup, ravioli and chicken Parma. I had the vegetable risotto with prawns. Omg ! Absolutely the best I’ve had. Well done. Staff are courteous and meals all served hot. Definite winner.

Menu is large and includes seniors and kids menus. Food quality was varied. Entree tasting platter was both a great idea and a taste sensation. Everything on it was delicious and a great choice for our group. Pork ribs were very good. Brisket was dry and not very flavoursum. Chicken tagine was really tasty. Caesar salad with chicken was sparse and chicken was dry and tasted not right. The servers were great when we could get their attention. It is a venue that can be very busy and extremely noisy but it was neither this time which was nice. Parking is easy and there is lots.

Lovely atmosphere very friendly staff and food very nice. Roast for mum, scotch fillet and veges for me. Only issue was the horrible tonic water from those hoses..😝..always flat and sickly. Not sure why they can't offer bottles of tonic. I'm happy to pay a little extra for Schweppes tonic.

Late booking for a birthday lunch, and the staff were accommodating. Food was very good as was the service, however it did get a bit noisy as the place filled up. Overall a very good experience.

I would have given it a 5 star review after the first time I went there, it was a Saturday night, and they were busy. I couldn't fault anything, the food was really good, we weren't waiting long and the staff were on the call, however we went back during the following week, we seemed to wait longer, the meals were mostly ok but weren't as nice, the corn chips that came with the Mexican salad bowl were stale, the servings were smaller in comparison to the Saturday night, not sure what the go on the second night we went was, I'm hoping they were having an off night and it will be as good as the first time, I'll update my review of we go again. Worth checking out and decide for yourself.

Great place for meeting up with our family from Melbourne, we travel from Gippsland. Must learn to ask for quieter corner when visiting at the weekends though as it's very popular with families 👪 Well priced and great service.

Good meals, quick service. Wheelchair access to all areas. Has pokies but well away from dining area. Very open and a little noisy but well worth the stop for dinner.

Food was overpriced and Parma was an over cooked massed produced type, not very tasty. Staff were inattentive and a bit rude if I’m honest and drinks never arrived. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately.

Food was discusting and I now have really bad indigestion/ and very strong pains in my stomach as the rice in garlic prawns had Indian spices and the prawns were hard, dry, even hard to cut. It's not an Indian dish. I am not racist, I am now sick I cannot eat spices. My husbands roast Turkey was thin slices like you buy from the deli, processed meat, as you can see in the photo, my daughters fish and chips tasted like the oil was weeks old, filtering your fryers is different to changing the oil. Deserts, well, wat can I say they didn't disappoint, that was just as bad.. Apple turnovers was from woollies or coles along with the custard in a carton, Tried again now failed, will never go back... . Food was Terrible. TERRIBLE Terrible......and cause we complained, the staff became rude. We didn't want our money back, the head of staff and the cook should be careful with what they say, but you definately will not get anymore. Would definately NOT Recommend

Extremely disappointed with the meals at Castello’s. Eight of us dined there for lunch with every meal a disappointment. The ‘open’ souvlaki (photo provided) was far from what it should have been. Other meals may have looked so so, but tasted terrible. They have a booking app so you order the meals and drinks on your device, but sadly everyone who did this never received their drinks, then had to show proof of purchase when asking why we had not received them.

Excellent food/service, that's where it ended. We booked over a week ago - at the last moment were told our tables changed as they had a late 30 booking. Plonked on tables 3 and 4 right next to the open door to play area. Tables 1 and 2 contained a heaving mass of screaming toddlers running back and forth past our tables to play area. As seniors we couldn't hear ourselves even think. We usually like to linger over a few drinks, just ate and left. Will not be back.

Daughter ate here with partners family for a birthday dinner. She ordered her meal and a lemon lime and bitters to drink, which was listed on the menu as a softdrink. When the waitress brought her drink to the table she asked my daughter for ID. Confused, my daughter said she didn't have ID, despite her being 19 years of age and the fact that she had no intention to drink alcohol. Puzzled, my daughter questioned the waitress regarding the drink containing alcohol. Waitress advised her that it did infact contain alcohol (which my daughter had no idea as it was listed on the menu as a soft drink). Later in the night after this occured, a family member ordered a jug of lemon lime and bitters for the table to share as a few others wanted a glass of it. The bar tender told the person ordering "yeah thats fine but keep it down your end of the table because someone on your table doesnt have ID on them". My daughter had no intentions of having a glass anyway after finding out earlier that it contained alcohol and since she didnt have her ID. I'm just appalled at the whole situation. My question is Why are you advertising lemon lime and bitters as a soft drink if it contains alcohol?. Called and spoke to a manager regarding this and was told that the manager had no idea that the lemon lime and bitters was listed as a soft drink on the menu. How many other diners have ordered a lemon lime and bitters at this restaurant under assumption they are drinking a non alcoholic beverage when infact it contains alcohol?. How many under age diners have not been asked for ID and been served this drink which does contain alcohol?. Absolutely disgusting. A mistake like this could be detrimental to someone's health especially if they are not allowed to consume alcohol due to medical reasons. Please amend your menu and lift your game. Not good enough 😡
