Went here Saturday evening and there a number of people eating. We ordered the rump steak but were given the tbone steak. It was also not cooked properly, wherein some parts were well done while some parts were medium rare. We also checked the bill and noticed that the drinks were billed twice, so make sure you ask for the bill to be sure you pay for what you asked.

We had the steak sandwich and fish and chips. The food was really enjoyable and reasonably priced. The Beer of the Month was Hahn Super Dry 🍺, $6.
The music is atmospheric.
The barman, Jason, was very helpful and friendly. I do always find the bar and other staff here always very friendly.
Used my Monty' Rewards and got 5% off.
Come on world, come to The Tavern!

We had a 50th birthday party today at the Tavern. Faultless. Food was absolutely delicious, service was great and the guest of honour was particularly happy with it. A great day!!

Visited this pub last night and I must say, it was a highly disappointing experience. The service was nothing short of terrible, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, my party and I were excited to enjoy a nice meal. However, our excitement quickly turned into frustration as we waited an astonishing 30 minutes for our food to arrive. At that point, we decided to check with the waitress for an update, and she casually mentioned that it would be ready in 5-7 minutes.
10 minutes later, we approached the waitress again, only to be given yet another time estimate of 7 more minutes. To our disbelief, even after waiting for a full hour, our food still hadn't been served, while other patrons around us were already enjoying their meals.
Frustrated, we decided to express our dissatisfaction to the staff. The manager, who finally came over, told us that he had been busy washing dishes and tried to shift the blame onto the kitchen staff. This complete lack of accountability and customer service was truly disappointing.
As a customer, I expect reasonable waiting times and honest communication from the restaurant staff. Unfortunately, this place failed to meet such a basic expectations.

Visited Castle Hill Tavern on a Friday May evening.
Families with young children and 3 generations were sitting together which was nice to see.
The crowd of people sat outside which left the bar area inside quite quiet!
The bar area has a range of seating, taller and regular tables. Spacious seating and upgraded amenities.
The food was quite good for pub category food.
Ordered the Grazier slow-cooked Beef Pie which was delectable. Tender chunks of beef in the pie with a side of mash potatoes, onion rings, topped with gravy and green peas for colour contrast 🤤. The tomato relish flavour with the pie was a perfect match.
Also ordered the Tav cheeseburger🍔 which came with a side of crunchy fries, asked for sweet chilli sauce for dipping 😊.
Was able to sit and do work uninterrupted!

Thursday Night Trivia is such an incredible time! Definitely wish they would make more room for it since it’s grown so big - they kind of just have us all mixed in with people who are eating dinner and not doing trivia and I’m sure it’s not great for them either…

This is a regular dinner haunt for a group of friends, the staff are friendly, food is good and well priced.

The portion sizes here are quite large and would easily fill you up, and from the numerous times I’ve been here the quality of the food has always been good and wait times are generally about 10-15 minutes, so pretty good.

The Lunch specials at the Castle Hill Tavern are amazing and sooooo delicious. The Chef's are very professional and the food quality for a Pub Lunch are oustanding.

The Chicken Schnitzel that I had was surprisingly good. The Schnitty was perfectly fried with a nice crunchy coating, and the salad had a good dressing as well. Service was friendly & reasonably quick. The decor of the place is a bit dated, which is probably the main drawback of this place. Still, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a competitively priced, quick & easy pub meal with a bevvy.

The Buffalo Wings were nothing like buffalo wings—sweet, not spicy, tiny, and mostly breading that tasted disgusting. The Calamari and Chips came with garlic mayo instead of tartare sauce. The only food I enjoyed was the Cheesy Garlic Bread although it could be better with less butter. The food quality declined so much since we ate here for the first time in 2018.

Staff were friendly, professional & very attentive - asking often if there was anything more that we needed. Menu had a good range of reasonably priced meals that catered for everyone in our group. All meals were cooked well with a good amount of sides. Would highly recommend.

Really great restaurant. Food was great quality and taste as well as good size portions. The chef Janith was very good with his work.. great food and highly recommended.

Pros:
Fantastic pub. Food, drinks, play- everything you will find here. Staff are active and awesome. Good beers on tap. Pizza and other food and beer snacks are yummy. There is a pool table to chill around. Bistro beside it offers good choices of food. Parking is easy and always has enough space. I enjoyed my time here in a rainy evening.
Cons:
No happy hour.

Ordered two Tuesday specials. One without salad one with . Both came wth salad with rotten tomatoes. Cold gravy chips were served at slightly below room temperature.. schnitzel was ok but have had better… sorry but will not be returning

Ordered a steak sandwich, the steak smelt off. I let the girl know who was taking orders at the time, her response was "sorry about that, I will let the "cook' know.
That was it, no one cared.

Just the hearty pub food we were looking for. Visited on a quiet saturday lunch where there was plenty of parking. We sat ourselves on the picnic tables outside, ordered at the bar, quoted our table number and the friendly staff was very kind to answer our questions about the menu. Ordered a jug of coke from the bar. Not long after, our fresh hot food was given and it was lovely. This would be a bustling place in the evening, but had a nice quiet ambience at lunch. Would come back again!

I went to tavern on Thursday for lunch before going i saw a special in the negotiator the add read THURS RUMP 200g $15.00 so when i went to the bar to order my meal i showed the manager the add .He stated this only apply s to dinner he pointed in the direction of a wall that showed i similar add stating Thursday dinner i said it didn't state that on this add and would not honor deal so all our group will not be going back to castle hill tavern. Well done to the manager that has now lost 8 to 10 customers.

I am aware VOUCHERS have scissor cutout template. I was referring to your ADVERTISEMENT, (as I CLEARLY STATED in my comment) which CLEARLY says "THURS RUMP" "$15.00", there is NO MENTION of this being for Thursday evening ONLY. The only way to discover this is an "Evening only offer" is to see Poster in Tavern. I feel this advert is extremely miss-leading designed to get people into Tavern, where they will then end up buying something else and spending more money than they intended. If you are going to respond to this comment please ensure you respond to my "ACTUAL" complaint. Your response DID NOT answer MY complaint as I never said I had a voucher I only referred to the ADVERT!

I remember the place in its hey-day it was quite a bustling place to go, especially at night and it's night club, but these days, I don't think it has that same audience. Been here a bunch of times during the day for lunch. It's pub food, it's what you'd expect. Nothing special has grabbed me. It has bare staff, so typically, you need to order from the one bar. It's fairly clean, it does look in some places a little tired. Staff are friendly, but they kinda look like they'd rather be somewhere else...

Good little venue, meal was not too bad, fish was good but chips were only par. Strange set up to order for the bistro but once it was sorted very good service. All staff very friendly. Most importantly beer was very cold.

First time. Great food and good service (if a little slow as it was not busy). We had the chicken BLT which was great - well worth the $15. Will remember this one next we are in the area.

Can't comment on the food as it never arrived after an hour of waiting. Was happy to wait as it was busy, however it got annoying when people who arrived and ordered well after we did got their meals and finished and still our two single meals hadn't been made. Finally said something after 50 minutes to be told the kitchen never received our order (the bar received our money) and so do we wanna keep waiting or a refund which we took the refund. Watched food sit there for 5-10 minutes before being taken to tables. Multiple people without their food. A terrible experience.

Came in on a cold windy night and was served by a gentleman with fantastic long hair, he was very courteous and funny 10/10 would definitely come again.
