Wonderful we had a meal here last night didn’t have a booking but they got us straight in the food was lovely and the service Was absolutely incredible thank you so much

We held our son's 21st last Saturday in the court yard.
The Functions manager James went above and beyond, we can't thank James enough 👏😊. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were fantastic so friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Tom.
The food was amazing also and so much of it 😃.Great Venue. Was perfect for all our needs.

We had a great experience at Centra Hotel last night. The atmosphere is cosy and romantic, perfect for our date. The food was 10/10 - we ordered the barramundi, slow cooked lamb, and carbonara. Service was friendly and quick, would definitely return here

Was here last month for lunch with friends. We had a group of 7 service was great and food was even better!
Will definitely return next trip!!

Unseasoned soggy skinned fish of the day with a similarly bland and mismatched mess of unfilling accompaniments. A completely flat soda and lime in place of the ordered tonic and orange. When I returned it the guy seemed like he'd never been behind a bar before, didn't know where the gin was, spent close to a minute rummaging in the fridge trying to find tonic. Easily the worst meal of the year. Big regret.

This place was not our first choice but what a great find. From the get go, the service has been outstanding. The staff is always smiling and very attentive. We started with arancini balls with peas and mint. It tasted better than it sounds and the combination works! We also tried the pancetta pizza & grilled swordfish. The stand out was the seafood linguini which was jam packed with flavour of the sea. It was a satisfying meal.

Simply superb. Food & wine spot on. Special thanks to Tom for awesome service & the chef for awesome food. We definitely bringing our mates & our super fussy teenager :) Thanks again Centra hotel !!

Our night started off awesome. We had a lovely female waitress and got everything ordered quickly. The food itself was really good.
The reason for the low score is after our order we taken, that was it. We never got asked for extra drinks or food. We wanted to order more and tried for over 30mins to gain the attention of the waiters (the lady who was serving us had left) just to ask for a dessert menu. Then they never came back again. Tried for another 20mins to get their attention again to order, and got fed up and left. We went in early for dinner as their later sessions were booked and had to be out by 7:15; waiting nearly an hour and not being checked in or even open to coming over to serve made it his extremely hard and was ridiculous. Our night ended really disappointingly. We left hungry.

Menu had so many things I wanted to try I will definitely have to return. Probably a tad boring for the kids but that's what screens are for right? Anyway this is my review and Mrs and I loved it.

I recently had my 40th birthday at Centra in one of the courtyard spaces. Booking the venue was quick and easy, and I was pleasantly surprised that the staff took the time to pass around the (delicious!) plates of food to our guests. Thank you!

If you are looking for a place for a function look no further. Centra recently hosted a party for me and they could not have been better. The food was fabulous and the service excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend Centra.

Great place to hold a small gathering or event - in the private dining space. The staff are lovely and incredibly helpful! Very appreciative of their help. Delicious food too!

Great food and well set up. One small issue with the service after I saw a chip in my glass and very nearly swallowed a bit of glass. Mentioned it to the waiter who said he would get me another drink. It never appeared. My fault for not mentioning it further, but … apart from that this place was really good.

Food was delicious, fresh, tasty and very homely. We were welcomed very warmly however service was a let down, maybe our server were shy.
I would definitely go back.

Five star service, great ambience as they have outdoor courtyard which is nice on sunny days. We had pizza and Arancini balls which were delicious. Greatly recommended pizza place in Geelong.

Centra is a welcoming bistro that provides classic Italian staples. While I was there I got to try their arancini, seafood linguine and rocket pizza. The arancini had a neat little chilli hit that I wasn't suspecting. They gave us quite a few arancini balls, which was great since the serving sizes of the pasta and pizza are small. The seafood linguine was nice enough but it was a little bit bland. Fortunately, the prawns were cooked perfectly. The pizza dough was delicious and fresh. The tomato sauce was overly salty and the toppings were very light (even for a traditional Italian pizza), yet it was still pretty good. The acoustics in the venue are attrocious. We could barely hear each other from a foot away. The staff were exceptionally friendly though. Our waiter was very helpful with choosing our drinks. Overall, I enjoyed some of the food but felt like there was a little more to be desired considering the high price point.

Bland food, bland people, Dirty venue. looked more French than Italian, only thing Italian about the joint is the fact, you're ripped off.
Worst meal I've ever had for the money paid. Pizza is better at Domino's and the duck tasted like ravioli from Woolworths.

Average food.
Not cozy at all probably saving on heating.
Disgusting toilets.
Ambiance was pretty average.
Service was good.
For the price they charge there are lots of other better Italian restaurants than this one one in Geelong.

Another Italian night
Also been wanting to check this place but due to their break hour and our shift worker schedule it just never happened until one Sunday we found a reason to splurge 😁
Great pizza toppings selection
Pasta too al dente for me (read:hard)
Desserts- tiramisu was good. Cannolo ‘s pistachio ricotta was powdery
We’ll be back to try some other menu another time!
