Worst service I’ve ever had. Big lady with short dark hair yelled at us in front of a pub full of guests over toilets that were out of order (with no sign posted) and when we said ‘whoops’ called us LOSERS. Waited so long for a drink and don’t bother trying to put a bet on at the TAB, useless. Won’t be back.

We were very happy with our meals and impressed how quickly they were brought out!! Personalised customer service was delivered with wait staff being very tentative and friendly! Makes for a very relaxing and enjoyable night out with the family 🌟👍👍👍

We were double booked by another hotel in town and moved our party of 30 to the Central. They accommodated us and the food and service was awesome. We will be back next year when we are in town for the Don River Dash.. Thanks.

Watched the nrl parra vs easts game had a meal drinks dessert coffee had a ball. Food was great, great prices and grear service and staff. We'll be back highly recommend Central hotel you won't be disappointed

The lady behind the counter with shortish dark hair (no names) needs to be takin down a few pegs.. she's loud and has a presence about herself that only a peacock would have. She really needs to find a new industry to work in as hospitality isn't the 1 for her.
Food took ages, didn't receive cutlery until 10 minutes later, wrong sauce, nice steak, you won't see me there again.

So disappointed with the service here ...the duty manager on (her name started with a T) was so rude and slammed my money into my hand . We were all going to have dinner and drinks but after that service we went down the road to the next pub . What a shame because you missed out on hundreds of dollars spent .

I have just moved to Bowen and I must say the service offered at this joint was disappointing. I had gone in to order a creamy garlic meal as takeaway, the dish is was very yummy but the meal as expected was creamy and not “eatable” without a utensil. I asked for cutlery or some form of plastic spoon, but the employee (which I choose not to describe) told me with an immediate shrug that they didn’t even have any without attempting to be of help despite knowing how watery my meal would be. My curiosity is, how can a restaurant that cooks all types of meals not offer some form of cutlery for customers who choose to get takeaway, heck the local iga down the road offers cutlery’s too. I was very dissatisfied.

If you want a great steak .then this is the place to go.ours was cooked to perfection. Melted in your mouth. Vegetables we're fresh . Thankyou was a great meal

If your not a local don't bother coming because if the staff don't know you by first name they treat you like a 2nd class citizen, especially the head staff lady with dark hair. She was not nice st all. She should not work in hospitality.

Great meal and service from a happy couple of staff who really treated us old folk well. Meals came as requested, and nothing was too much trouble. Might repeat it all again tomorrow before we book out of our caravan park Wednesday.

Friendly staff. Nice venue. Not noisy.
First time diner at this pub. We both had garlic prawns & rice. Super tasty meal. Piping hot, plenty of garlic & 10 prawns. Could have had seconds it was so nice. Maybe a little expensive for a pub meal. $64. And seafood at your door. A few gf options but need more. GF crumbs would allow for so many more options.

Food great, atmosphere terrible. Screaming children totally uncontrolled. Spoiled what could have been a good meal. Won't go there again.
