We were at the social club in January and have to say we had one of the best Parma’s we have ever had. We will be back next January so hoping nothing changes haha

Went for dinner one night after summernats food was delicious staff was friendly. Pokoes dont take $50 notes i found strange sat there for ages trying to put a 50 in kept spitting it out till i reliesed lol. But plently of seating clean id go back next time im down there

We had several meals here during our holiday. Convenient central location before returning to our hotel. The meals were nice and they had a good selection for seniors. Casual and relaxed. Travellers welcomed warmly.

Venue nice, food was nice, but we got charged to swap from salad to fries which is free on the menu and that is ok, everyone makes mistakes. But when we wanted an extra sauce they charged us again even after realising they incorrectly charged us the first time. Not the money, it’s the principle. Surely you just apologise and give the sauce for free…

Today I and my friend go to lunch, as we get to the club 🤪 I was surprised 😮 and confused there is empty block the building come down. We're is Canberra Labour Club .
I released that over a year, and I was not in the club, I also had to get a new membership card.
Here is the club here on the corner, my friend said, and it has a new name, Centre Social Club 😀.
Wow, what a gem 💎 😍,opened last year.
Walked inside the renovated club, which was once a bank 🏦 😳 over 60 years 😳 the Bank of New South Wales, later Westpac.
The staff welcomed 🙏 me and were so happy to see me it was over a year ☺️, thanks.
Come and see the lovely new club on the corner.
Coming for lunch or dinner 🍽 🤔, please 🙏 book your table 🙏 the club is were popular at lunchtime 😀 and dinner time.
The food is great and delicious 😋, and the happy 😊 staff will serve you.

The service was amazing. The bar staff went out of their way to help me entertain my child while we had a drink- even gave us colouring in for her. Highly recommend

The manager racially profiled my friend on her birthday and ruined her day.
It started to rain and we went to central social club. When my friend presented her id the person at the front called for a manager who said she couldn’t go in because her shoulders are showing and that if she had a jacket to cover your shoulders she could come in. We gave her one of our jackets but the manager refused to let us in because the jacket “wasn’t hers” however plenty of women were going in with their shoulders showing.

The management team, Andrew and Jim exceeded my expectation of a club in the city. The Central Social Club is a great place to catch up for afternoon drinks or a quick bite during the day.
Friendly and attentive staff, quickly help me unwind from a hard week work.
Grab a cocktail or beer, enjoy the summer breeze through their open air establishment.

Thanks to Karma and all the team. Was a great night with over 40 of us for dinner. Bar service was great with a good choice on offer. The food was very quick being delivered and fantastic pub grub. It was well priced as well. Overall, thank you for a fantastic night.

Spent $35 on a scoth fillet, it was so tough I could have used it to hammer nails into a wall, Manager was not interested in feedback, I was offered another meal which I declined, I was given a refund so that was good. Very disappointing

Slow service, my husband's steak was dry and tough, he could barely eat it. I have my doubts that it was even eye fillet. The female bar tender was rude and arrogant. We won't be going back. I would have expected better from an $80 lunch.

Saturday night visit, very busy. Full of theatre goers getting in a few before the show, seems this place has a bit of a monopoly for that, well priced meals and drinks just a short walk from the venue. Quite a bit different to suburban clubs, cocktails were being shaken and the atmosphere was quite lively. Overall, not bad at all!

Place was average when it opened and has managed to go downhill since. Bar service is inattentive and poor and the place is grotty. Benches by the windows half covered in fingerprints and the other half covered in days of tree pollen. Toilets are filthy and poorly maintained. Doesn’t inspire one to want to eat here.

Our first visit to refurbished club. Friday night and it was jumping. We were glad we had booked a table or we would have been out of luck. Front desk, bar staff and food service were all friendly and helpful. Particularly front desk. Prices were right, food was great and we were made to feel valued.

Meals were a great size for a very reasonable price. They were also presented well and the flavour was good. We would definitely go there again.

Have visited this venue a couple of times now for lunch. Service and staff have been great each time.
Food quality and presentation have been good and consistent each time. Food was brought out quickly too.
The pricing point for meals is on the low side, so represents great value for customers.
Highly recommend people give it a shot for lunch when in the city. Will be going back.

Wait staff, bar staff and kitchen staff all went the extra mile to ensure our experience was exceptional!

Had a very good night, the meals were amazing and the staff were very friendly.
I will definitely return, maybe not drink as much next time but..... Well that bits a lie😵💫🤮.
Well worth a good night out and had a good atmosphere.

Grilled fish ordered from the Seniors menu an absolute disgrace, one tiny piece of fish, about 35 grams. Soggy overdressed salad obviously prepared hours in advance.

Compliments to the chef!!! Stunning lunch of lamb pappardelle and then the salted caramel tart!!! Utterly divine!!!

Called in a few times for drinks,excellent value for money staff really friendly. Food looked good. If l lived in Canberra would definitely be my go to bar.

According to staff it’s normal for all chicken products to come out of the kitchen tasting and smelling of fish. Couldn’t eat my meal because of the smell that was coming off a chicken burger.
