We had satay chicken skewers and battered snapper. Both meals were beautiful, and the staff were lovely. We will be back!

We had our work Christmas party in the room upstairs. Jacquie was INCREDIBLE. Everything was taken care of without a fuss and she was a great vibe to be around!
The food was delicious and it was all a great price.

Visiting the valley, we wanted somewhere close by that wasn't fine dining with a high price, and this was great. Short drive from our accommodation and easy enough to find. Plenty of parking right outside, lots of classic menu options and roast of the day was delicious! Fairly priced and didn't wait very long for our meals. Staff were friendly and prompt, meal sizes were decent, would come here again for sure.

Saw $15 steak night
My son and I came especially for this deal.
Staff from bistro did not inform me it’s a members deal only.
We could of joined for $5 to receive this.
Instead we paid over $38 for steak
Some staff have been there too long aren,t interested in guiding new visitors

Visited the club to grab a bite to eat during hunter valley stay! Nice and clean as expected however food was surprisingly amazing! My husband ordered the wagyu rump with chips and salad, it was cooked medium as requested and tasted great! I ordered a chicken salad which was nice also.
We also had a couple of drinks from the bar, great options available to try! It does get a bit busy in the evening as we went on a Saturday night!

Usually go here on Wednesday nights for dinner and DJ bingo. It's always a really nice time. Good food, amazing staff already good vibes

This is not our first time at the club and we enjoyed the Steak and Chicken Schnitzel. The mash potato and the fries were nicely done. The food surprisingly took longer than one would normally expect, but it was worth the wait and the staff apologised for the delay.

The food is phenomenal. Look at the size of the vegetarian pizza!!
The menu is varied and extensive. They have daily specials for members that are sizeable and great value.
Join up for $5 a day you’ll score at least $5 off each meal.
Drinks are affordable and varied.
Plenty of easy parking along the street or side.

Staff were all friendly, polite and accommodating, dinning room was ok and relatively clean. Food was well priced/cheap. It's worth signing up as a member even if your an out of towner/area.
Food was not the best tasting but quality vs cost matches overall not bad for a cheap feed but if your looking for similar but nicer quality Vincent St is a better option

Pub food
This club seems to be very popular with the locals. The meals are good, prices are reasonable and service is fast. We had the roast 2 nights in a row (roast lamb & then roast pork) which was very good with decent serves of vegetables! The desserts were also good and very reasonably priced too!

Ordered a medium steak, salad and chips for $36 dollars, first was given the wrong steak which was well done, wrong sauce and no salad. Then got the right steak which was far past medium, chewy and just had 0 flavour. Salad didn't have any dressing either. For 36$ you would hope you can at least get a steak cooked to your request. Schnitzel was ordered too for 26$ and the vegetables tasted like out of a bag, the schnitzel was dry and only tasted somewhat alright doused in mushroom sauce. Would not recommend the league's club in Cessnock.

Joined the club for $5 and saved about $20 on the meal, which was excellent. Nearly 40 degrees outside so it was great to spend an hour or so relaxing in one of the dining room booths.
Look forward to more visits here, which is an hour from home.

It's a great venue for a big function and the bar area was clean and plenty of places to sit. Thank you for hosting the Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards in 2017.

I had a lovely Big lunch there , the food is Beautiful, I go there to see my family and always have something to eat, the service is wonderful, Highly recommended

I arrived to join Toastmasters. I use a walking frame. The asian female on reception and I had a conversation about how it was my first time at the club and why I was there. I joined up. She told me Toastmasters meet upstairs. I noted the lift. She said I'd have to walk through the poker machine area to get to the meeting room. I assumed there was a different lift. She watched me walk around, having a look at the restaurant, etc, and sit down having a glass of water. I was shocked to find a massive steep staircase. I returned to reception to ask how to access the room. No solutions or apologies. Shocked that discrimination for disabled people still happens, especially at an RSL!

Friendly, helpful polite staff, prompt service in bistro with definite value for money....the meals were amazing....entrees the size of mains OMG best value ever. Absolutely enjoyed a meal and recommend to all. It's kids friendly to wirh a play area.

Food was ok. Club itself was very noisy with kids screaming continuously when footy was on. What's the go these days with kids in licensed bar area?

Excellent RSL with incredibly kind staff, a wonderful little playground for the kids, and delicious food. The schnitzel and beef brisket pizza were both outstanding. Will absolutely be back when in the area again.

Decent bistro dishing out pub meals. Tried a couple of pizzas including the beef brisket pizza. Only one small slice of brisket per slice which was a little underwhelming.
Good selection of beers and local wines at affordable prices.
Worth getting a membership just for the discounts alone.
Kids play area also good for the young ones.

A nice little club. Food was good but the place was understaffed and there were several things on the menu that became unavailable very early in the night. Dessert was fantastic. I think once the renovation is complete this will be an even better club
