Your average NSW country pub with stereotypical front bar and restaurant food. Avoid the beer garden if you want a smoke free experience.

We have eaten here a few times before and never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable and quality excellent for a hotel meal.

Very expensive for two beers.
Not very friendly staff when we arrived and locals talked loudly with 'not welcoming ' chatter.
Beer garden was nice and relaxing sitting in the sun listening to good music.
Could do with a revamp in main bar when you first walk in.

Too many flys outside. The chips were super salty. Our meals were ok. We won't rush back.

The moment you walk into the restaurant you’re immediately met with beautiful decor and artwork. The wonderful people working here, don’t make you feel like a customer in a shop, they make you feel like you are in their family kitchen having a home cooked meal made with love.

The Charles on East Resturant is out the back of pub, walk through down a darkish hall and find your way in. Meals were big and pretty darn good so do recommend popping in here but it can definitely improve on a few things other than the meals.
The hallway to the resturant doesn't have a great smell but once you find the restaurant that will fade. Menu is on the wall to the right before the counter, so it would be helpful if it had a sign at the counter to mention that as you walk past it and it's hard to notice its a menu until being told. There were 4 or 5 couples after us that also didn't have a clue. Order meals at the counter in the restaurant and drinks need to be ordered from the bar at the front.
Rough crowd out the front bar and minimal service, seems you have to be standing right in front of the taps to get served.
Scotch fillet, chips veg and mash with mushy sauce below.

Terrible service in the resturant, and the meals were beyond average with a very above average price. We will not be dining here again.

Stopped for a quick lunch on the way South. Good pub food at a good price. My hamburger was very good. Would happily visit here on our next trip.

Since one or two recent reviews weren’t great I’d like to correct them. This is a decent pub. Service very good, food good, restaurant and garden pleasant, front bar area is the usual functional bar but fine. Staff all good. Steak I’d say was average, meaning ok, I’d eat it again. Thai salad was tasty and fresh. We enjoyed the evening - thank you.

Serving size was huge and the food was delicious! The staff were really friendly, exactly what you expect of a small country town pub!

Really nice venue, very welcoming. Staff are friendly 100%. I don’t rate the food though. So disappointing- unlikely to order there again. I ordered crisp skinned chicken breast with sun dried tomato sauce. Chicken was on a bone, a bit tough and the opalescent skin just slipped off when I attempted to cut it. Quite tasteless. Also served at the table was the Barramundi medallion- thin, bland and quite small. Garlic/cheese bread- yummy.

No stars. Yelling kids, not their fault, it's their parents! $37 bleu steak - first one cooked past medium. Second one stone cold. Come on, if you are too stupid to cook one don't accept the order! Food came out bloody fast for obvious reasons. Don't waste your time going there!!!!!@

It is only public house, left in Narrandera , out of 5 pubs pathetic ,, no
robust night life in Narrandera , no more , Walking around town in mid afternoon , , the town is with 3000 people , with 1 pub I seen it in many towns with the Koalas population in town area

I know the burger on the menu doesn't have salad on it, but I assumed it would, I thought that was default for a pub burger but apparently not. The local Tavern where I'm from makes a burger with everything on it and chips for like $24 whereas here I paid $20 for a flat, maccas-looking cheeseburger.

Had a good meal here a few nights before Xmas. Service was great and the food was good. Nice old pub too. Will come back.

Great and friendly country pub. Delicious meals of Lamb shank and Seafood Basket. The Towns architecture is well worth a look.

Good old pub, just needed a little olive oil on the salad, crumbed steak a little less cooking. But overall filled the gap

Good meals in a cosy dining room. Might need to ask for half sizes! Too much food on the plate means you won't want pudding. Lamb cutlets and Moroccan chicken.

Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Wine was good and inexpensive. Service was friendly and efficient. Plates delivered to other tables appeared to have been enjoyed as well. We're so glad we dropped in.

Traveling from Canberra to Adelaide, I posted a query asking for recommendations on dining options in Narrandera.
To my delight, someone suggested this venue, and I am beyond grateful that I decided to give it a try.
From the moment I stepped inside, the staff exhibited exceptional customer service skills that made me feel truly valued as a guest.
The patrons at the front bar welcomed me with warm smiles and genuine friendliness.
Their hospitable nature immediately put me at ease and made me feel like a part of their community. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate their kindness and willingness to go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.
Now, let's talk about the food.
The steak I had here was an absolute delight for my taste buds. Cooked to perfection, every bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It's safe to say that it was the best steak I've had in a long time, and that's saying something considering my love for a good steak!
But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible service provided by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring I had a memorable dining experience.
Their attention to detail and dedication to their craft truly shone through.
To the entire team at this venue, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing service you provided.
You have definitely earned a loyal customer in me. As I intend on embarking on many more road trips this year i’ll be stopping by again.
I highly recommend anyone passing through Narrandera to stop by and indulge in their fantastic cuisine and impeccable customer service.

Arrived at 12, ordered by 12:15 - meals served one at a time, first arriving over an hour after ordering, from 1st meal being served to final meal being served took over 30 minutes. Thai Salad was gritty and meat was cold and dry, dressing had no flavour.
Very poor experience and will not be returning!!!!

A really enjoyable meal with excellent service and friendly staff. The food was a good price well cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend and be back next time we are in the area.
