Wow what can I say, great club and staff are amazing and Michelle and Bridget are so nice to us. The food is great and the prices are insane as the main meal for lunch on the specials comes with a beer or wine. The club is very clean and parking is very easy. Can’t believe we found this great place to visit 😀 thanks so much guys.

What a lovely little club this is. Everyone is so friendly, the bar and food service was excellent and we were very happy with our meals. It's nice and cosy in there too.

We took our Dementia outing group there for lunch. Always helpful staff, and great food. John Anglicare Sydney.

Went to Thirroul Bowling Club for dinner we had a table booked for 20, seating was great bar staff were friendly and professional but the meals were terrible hardly anything to choose from on the menu no steak, no pasta fish and chips were the only seafood. A lot of us ordered Chicken Parmigiana it had no parmigiana sauce it was chicken snitzel with processed ham and melted cheese on top and salad was swimming in oil. I don’t recommend this place for a meal .

We held our son’s fourth birthday at the club. The staff were very accommodating but most notably, the catering from the bistro was excellent. Trish was very helpful and the food that came out, including the cheese platters, canapés and kids platters were delicious and generous. The day was fun and fuss-free thanks to their hospitality.

We had an engagement party here. It is an excellent venue, service, staff were very helpful and nice. Excellent value and nice platters and food options for events. Check it out and support local.

Visited from Sydney and decided an afternoon of barefoot bowls with the family would be fun. Boy were we very wrong. In a nutshell and to put it politely, we were called ‘fancy pants’ by the bar staff for taking a moment to review the drinks menu to then being basically harassed from the moment we stepped out on to the greens by not one but two ‘professional’ male senior citizen bowlers about how we should sit, stand, questioned if we were actually going to play or just stand there and that our children who are well behaved young ladies shouldn’t be on the greens due to ‘chemicals that are sprayed’ (how would one play bowls then? The mind boggles). The whole experience was horrible and incredibly disappointing. We have never felt more unwelcome and left within 20 minutes of arriving. Do not waste your time or money. Definitely not family friendly. Better days spent elsewhere. One star is generous, it’s really a ‘zero star’ from me.

The woman in the dining area taking orders and making the food was seriously so rude when I ordered 2 pizzas she acted like it was the end of the world and rolled her eyes at me while taking my order and then proceeded to basically ignore me for the rest of the ordering process not even looking me in the eye. It was really unwelcoming and I would not reccomend wasting a dollar on this place until they employ people who can put a smile on their face or at least be a little bit polite. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The renovation is so amazing. Beautiful outdoor open bars so good for functions. Wow, so impressed with the new menu and restaurant, cocktails available and more. Welcome back club thirroul.

The meals were small for the price.
The drinks were expensive for the type of club.
There was absolutely no social distancing.
I will not be returning.

The club itself has a great feel, modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. Well designed and decorated. There was an amazingly friendly and helpful couple who helped our family learn the ropes of barefoot lawn bowls. They were definitely the highlight of our experience. Really warm and hospitable. Food was good. Pizzas looked really good. Only downfall of this venue were the staff inside the club. They all had an uninterested almost bored or unfriendly dispositions. Total opposite to the bowls support people. It was a shame as they work in such a great venue but none seemed to be terribly happy to be there. They didn’t seem to understand what difference can be made by a welcoming smile. Otherwise though, a great experience overall and we will definitely be back.

Sadly, this club has caught the disease of questioning people as to their medical status which is illegal. For the first time that I can recall, I was asked this evening as to why I wasn't wearing a mask, even though I have an exemption. Not wishing to cause an upset, I patiently explained to the first worker (with good grace and to educate him) what the significance of the sunflower 🌻 lanyard is (hidden disability) with my exemption card attached. Not 2 minutes later, another worker asked me the same question and proffered a mask. I find this sequence of events incredible on 2 grounds. 1. There were very few people in there eating and 2. With the way the hospitality industry has been suffering in recent times, you'd think they would be happy to have business. With the attitude these people displayed it's no wonder people aren't patronising them in their droves. On a positive note, the food was good. My review would have had more stars were it not for this sequence of events.

Not a good club as we missed the draw as it was changed from 4pm to 3pm. No staff member bothers to inform us. Food average standard. Would give zero star rating if we can do so.

No staff or receptionist told us that the mother's day draw has changed to earlier time at 3pm instead of 4pm! So disappointing as we missed the draw!!!
Lamb chop was disappointing too as they appeared to run out of lamb chop and so tiny pieces of lamb chop was left:(

Nice club setting with a bright dining area. Even on a quiet afternoon, the service is available and kitchen serves a nice club lunch

Nice and clean venue, food was reasonable although I was unable to order my first preference due to 'delivery issues'. My (800g rump) steak was slightly overcooked and chewy but still impressive and tasty.
The kids meals were reasonably priced and enjoyed by all. Kids eat free on Tuesdays according to the menu board.
We won a (seafood) meat tray in the raffle which was small compared to other clubs we've been to, but the quality and freshness of the meat was excellent. They also had fewer trays of meat than other clubs I've been to, not that it bothered us (we were happy to win one)

Meals the bistro served up to the bowlers for the Charity Cobbers and Diggers Day 25.10.15 was an absolute disgrace. We couldn't eat either of our meals. Boiled sausages. You got to be kidding you guys. I won't ever have a meal there again.

Lovely Club ,food was fantastic at the bistro and the service was amazing ,staff were amazing ,friendly and so helpful from front desk,bar staff,bistro and the wonderful young guy who drove us in the courtesy bus to our next destination. First time attending this club great for pre drinks and dinner before attending Anita's theatre. we will be back.

Food was tasty but male bar staff member wouldn't honour the free drink that came with the meal. Also refused us Happy Hour.
I later saw him having sneaky drinks behind the bar.
Such a shame. I would think the club would be welcoming tourists after Covid.

Avoid this place at all costs.Walking into this place was like walking into a salon in the wild wild west.Came here with my Family for a few drinks, bite to eat and some bare foot bowls only for my wife and Sister in law to be abused verbally by the local grey nomads because the kids were playing in ths allocated area for the barefoot bowls far away from the dinosaurs that were playing their local bowls match.Apparently they didnt like the noise and decided to take there frustration out on the ladies.Both the ladies were verbally abused in a matter that was enough for us to pack up and leave not even finishing our first drink.Apparently this place is family friendly but please avoid if you have children or are attempting to play barefoot Bowls as the local posse are there to make sure this aint happening.

A disappointing visit to the club. I attended as the guest speaker for the local PROBUS Club. I had prepared a presentation slide show plus a couple of videos, and couldn't show them because we couldn't get the technology to work. I also purchased a long black coffee from the bar which was poorly made. There's a bit of an art to producing a good long black, and unfortunately that didn't happen.
