We stopped in for same beers on grand final day. It was quiet but at least we got a seat. :). Unfortunatly the kitchen was closed but the beer was cold!

Went there earlier today for the lamb roast and beef schnitzel with my wife. Fantastic way to start our trip to Tassie.
Bar staff went above and beyond. Very friendly.

Wednesday special! Burger with chips plus a pint of beer = $22.5! Good food and great value.

Was quite busy had to wait an hour for food. Drinks were sublime, food in the end was okay. My pumpkin was cooked oddly though. Didn't taste that good. Due to lateness of our mains we didn't have time for dessert. Atmosphere and warmth was delightful. An experience worth having but food and the food service could be, and should be, improved.

This place is like going back in time to that friendly pub down the street... whether your looking for pint or a feed hard to go past this place. Highly recommend 👌

The food has generous portions for affordable prices. We had the chicken parmi and battered fish and chips both were very tasty. Standard wait time, this is not fast food so don’t expect lightning fast food. Well worth it though, great pub food.

The best British pub in town! Staff take that old school effort to know your name. New beers every week. We love Wednesday night trivia. The kitchen is pretty good when it’s not totally awesome. Always a good time thanks Frankie, Roxy and the team 👍

Stopped in for a drink and feed, had the Beef and Guinness pie with chips and veg. The chips were pub standard chips (always a crowd pleaser). The veg was cooked perfectly, alittle crunch but not too hard. The pie blew my mind. From the crunchy pastry to the perfectly cooked filling. Tender meat full of flavour and surely will not disappoint. With the lingering after-taste this hidden gem should definitely be on your bucket list.

Staff were nice. Food was good: My calamari had evenly salted chips, a salad with the right about of flavouring and calamari freshly crumbed. On the flipside, my partner had the Premium Bangers & Mash and the thing that creeps in on me was that there was just too much pepper in the mash. Else everything was good.

Love this place, nice n cosey, lots to look at, looks like an old UK pub inside👍 JUST NEEDS AN 8 BALL TABLE, & BOAGS DRAUGHT ON TAP, then it would be perfect in my opinion, HOPE THEY COMPLETE THE RENO'S. OUTSIDE, doesn't look very inviting to be honest, love the open fires😎👍👍

Irish stew and Lamb and Guinness pie. You gotta try this stew. I’m sweating it’s so comforting. Can’t wait to come back in winter !!! Atmosphere, service and food all excellent. And according to my wife, the bar tender is really cute.

I have eaten here before, but this place is definitely advanced significantly since a year ago. Steak is so hit and miss these days, but chef Al really nailed the sirloin. He was also polite and accommodating. I will be eating here for all pub meals from now on. I haven’t found any pubs in Launceston, thus far, who have come close to today’s quality.

I challenge anyone to find a friendlier publican anywhere in Australia than Al! Came to Launceston for a weekend trip and kept coming back here. The food here is simply outstanding, and plenty of beers, all at good prices.

Had a wonderful dinner with my wife here last night and its just oozes good classic pub food with wonderful customer service to boot. The two servers(behind the bar and zipping about tables and upstairs) who dealt with us during our time there had a smile on their face the whole evening and were lovely every interaction. For our meals the portions were good, prices were not over the top and quick to come out. We got there at 6.45pm and left by 7.30pm on a friday night which was great. We will be back

Great pub with friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of vegetarian options on the menu and one of the staff went out of their way to check with the chef if the pastry could be done Vegan. Highly appreciated the chef doing this, excellent food and good vibes.

Great pub & never judge a book by its cover !!! Staff where absolutely amazing & so helpful in giving us some heads up about the local area , So go check it out & check out the up stairs I think you will like it ....

Great meals here...consistently good and available later than most places in Launceston. Staff friendly and efficient. Great selection of beers.

Friendly staff and nice decor. Not a great selection of beers on tap. My guiness pie was nice but I would have preferred it to have been made in a ramekin with fluffy flaking pastry on the top. Chips were good and salad had variety. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Food was great, more choice of really British dishes would have been amazing. Staff were professional and welcoming. We have knocked a star off as there was only one dessert on the menu and at 7pm it was marked as N/A. As a British pub, puddings are a must!

Enjoyed our meals and the service here on a Wednesday night.. The meals are a great size and the roast pork and crackle was delicious, all other meals on the table were also enjoyed and finished. Very relaxing evening with friends.

Classic old school British pub in Launceston. Worth a visit for a beer and a meal. Upstairs balcony for outdoor drinks on a nice day

Awesome pub dinner experience.. almost like being in England! Maddie our bar tender and host was very professional. We felt very welcome and well looked after. Keep up the good work guys!

Alan the owner accidentally overcharged me. I just paid the bill without looking at the receipt. After 30 minutes he came back with $20 bucks and a few coins, and told me he accidentally overcharged me. He was very apologetic for the oversite. This sort of service, is excellent! The food and service was excellent! I’m definetly coming back! Highly recommend!
