We enjoyed staying in this motel. Rooms are very spacious, bed was comfortable and we really liked the view over Mt Gambier. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay at this motel again.

We booked the most expensive accommodation in Mt Gambier because the photos looked great. Reality was different. The service is fine from the first greeting but the rooms are old tired 80s fit out complete with peeling paint on the wall. The rooms were fairly clean but I've had better. Only the beds were awesome and met our expectations. Only one free bottle of water for two people. No toaster. Has kettle and microwave. No shampoo, conditioner or soap in the bathroom. Shower pressure is decent. Surroundings are fairly quiet. Well placed to visit local attractions by walking.

Wanted to have dinner at thyme on the lake’s restaurant and as we live 75kms away we stayed at the comfort inn. Room was great, beautiful bathroom and lovely comfortable king size bed. Nice views from out the front of the room also.

Very over priced. When I complained within minutes of entering our room staff couldn't care less. I wish I could post photos here. The toilet and shower had not been cleaned. This is also the first place we have stayed that did not offer complimentary toiletries. Bed cover was dirty and in poor condition, there was an iron scorch mark on the carpet. T.V. did not work. I will say the view was great and there was a complimentary bottle of water. I most certainly would not recommend this hotel.

The unit is okay, nothing fancy. It's clean but the building's age reflects on the doors and its locks. It has everything you need for your short stay. The hotel location on an elevated land so you can see the CBD and it's close to the Blue Lake, Valley Lake and Botanic Park. The hotel also has 2 Tesla chargers which are free to use for guests.

The stay was comfortable and the view from the room is beautiful! The service desk was prompt in their response to our call for an issue with the bathroom and resolved it immediately. It’s a 5 min drive to the best eating places in Mt. Gambier like ‘Presto’ and ‘Metro’ Coles in 5 min drive too.

The receptionist is friendly; there is no staff available for problems after 8 pm. Toilet ran all night then won’t flush - no staff to fix; housekeeping failed to provide body wash or soap - no staff after hours to provide, had to wait till the morning. Refrigerator wasn’t cleared from last guest. Refund requested, refund denied!!! Poor customer service.

The motel is ideally located overlooking the city affording wonderful views. The room services are adequate for a budget motel. We were fortunate the motel was not busy so not bothered by noise of other guests. Good for an overnight stay if travelling through to Victoria.

Stayed here during a recent trip with family. Pictures look amazing but reality was a little different. The best thing about the rooms was the beds. Really comfortable and the linen and blankets were great. The negative? Very old rooms. Paint peeling on walls, stains on carpet. Was rather surprised that for the $170 price per night there was a " one soap does all" dispenser in the shower. Reception staff were lovely but my elderly parents were very sad at what the room offered. I've stayed in less expensive places where individual soap, shampoo, conditioner etc was offered. There is really no excuse for this kind of poor service in what is advertised as a 4 star hotel.

Stayed for 1 night with the fam. Fairly comfortable and basic as we expected. Friendly and quick checkin and checkout process. Very pleased that they have 2 Tesla car chargers so left in the morning with a full tank. Would be great if they offered breakfast.

rooms are very sparse. Nowhere to wash dishes except bathroom sink and no USB sockets. Had to use my own adapters.

I was very disappointed in my stay, I booked and paid for 3 nights and left after the 2nd night. My room was tiny, bedding old and the bathroom very dirty. I was woken each night to the sound of tvs in other rooms. The room looks nothing like the photos. I travel alot and have stayed in plenty of motels, this takes the top 3 of worse rooms I have stayed in.

I've stayed here multiple times and the rooms are always clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is in a nice and quiet spot overlooking the town. On my latest trip I managed to leave my work laptop in my room. Tamara the manager offered to drive it to the airport however boarding had just been called. Instead, she packaged and posted it the same day via express shipping! I'm very grateful for amazing service!

I arrived on a Saturday and was advised that there would be no room service on the Sunday. Best thing about the room is access to Foxtel. Rooms are ok enough but the location is horrible. Yes, the back of the Inn is the picturesque Valley Lake view however did not realize that it will be in middle of residential area where you can hear cars hooning in evening, dogs constantly barking. Not good at all. This was supposed to be a relaxing stay but I couldn't wait to get out of there. Also no toaster which meant I had to buy breakfast every day. The packet of chips you can purchase expired last month. Now for the bathroom, no fly screen on windows which meant that mosquito's had a field day entering the room. No body wash which meant I had to go out and buy some. For these prices I expected more. The highlight was the mould on the walls.... NOT!!! Very off putting. So make sure you BYO: body wash, ear plugs & water.

From the moment we walked into reception we felt invited and welcomed. It was lovely. Room was easy to get to. Comfortable stay for our family. Easy walking distance to the lakes and into town. We enjoyed a swim in the pool after a busy day of sightseeing.

Fantastic location - nice and close to the town centre but also not right in the main part of the town where all the noise is. Lots of scenic locations around motel. Friendly staff - staff is absolutely lovely and easy to communicate with. They’re always happy to help wherever it is needed.

Chose this hotel firstly because of the beautiful indoor heated pool - what a great way to end a day! From the first moment the staff were exceptional- engaged, professional & happy. The room was a surprise, meticulously clean, well set up with all necessities & the mini bar was well priced. Amazing location with stunning views of the town. Love the service, 5 day stay could not have been any better.

Beautiful view. We stayed in room 20 which was spacious with a lovely view. Big tv air con huge bed and curtains that actually function well to block out the light. ||As mentioned in other reviews, bathroom was dated and the 1 small bottle of complimentary water between 2 people is skimpy. But better than none. The room has everything you need and is adequate without being luxurious. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful and friendly. ||However were disturbed by external noise through the night.

Although this place has varying reviews and has a few quirks, it's a solid 4 stars in any book. The location is pretty hard to beat perched high on the side of the crater overlooking the town. It's a short stroll to the amazing Blue Lake and the views are breathtaking all round. Sure, not every room has a view, but you don't have to try hard to find the view. Our room had comfy beds and was very spacious. Some aspects were a bit dated and maybe the place could be better maintained, but overall the price was fair for what it is. Service was friendly and excellent. Wishing we were back there already!
