We really liked eating here after the renovation. Service was quick and smooth. Steak was well cooked and awesome crunchy chips.

We had dinner here while passing through on our way to SA. It’s half decent pub food. We had the seafood special basket. It’s all frozen fried food.
Nothing special about it but quick and easy, family friendly

Weekend away with my wife we decided to go in Swan Hill. Perfect weather 21 on Saturday and 22 Sunday. We want to try the commercial Hotel for a nice Pub meal considering we are country town. Food come out to quickly ( arancini) and cold. Barramundi was good and the steak not was hot at all considering I ordered butter garlic and don't even melt it. Service was ok, nice atmosphere very busy that leave little mistake in cooking progress.

We both had the chicken schnitzel with the toppings. I had the pizza topping and my wife had the Mexican topping. They were both great meals. The chips were to die for. We will be back.

Very unsatisfied with the service, I ordered my meal and the chicken was over cooked and very chewy, I let the staff know and they re-made me a new plate, then to receive this plastic in my meal which I nearly swallowed.. I have been coming here for a while and it seems like the standards are lower and service is just going down hill.

Traveling from Melbourne. Good feed at the local pub. Mushroom sauce with the scotch fillet was delish.

This is a recently renovated ated hotel. The range of on tap drinks is good. The place is comfortable, inside and out.
The dining room at diner time is packed. The food is wholesome and tasty. We e joyed several hours of talking, drinking and eating

Staff are ever so polite,friendly and helpful.They sure made our night memorable.Didnt eat there as we arrived late into the night but the music was great.Highly recommend to everyone 👌

Service and that Food, best calamari we have every had period. Went back for lunch the next day. My Parma was nice as well.

Relaxed & modern interior style. The scotch fillet steak was amazing, nicely chargrilled & was definitely rare-medium cooked as I'd ordered. The chips & veggies were delish- I would definitely come back for this $39 steak- it was money well spent.👍🏼👍🏼

My wife and I only recently moved to southern regional NSW and have a day outing every Friday to explore different towns in the area which includes a lunch. We’d never been to Swan Hill before let alone the Commercial Hotel. Googles 4+ star rating attracted us here for lunch and we weren’t disappointed. The calamari as recommended by chef Anthony, and the Chicken Campognola were absolutely fantastic, as was the service and ambiance. The meals being delivered to our table in a timely manner by our server Amity. Well done to all staff, thank you and we will be back.

Lovely meals at lunchtime. Reasonably priced and efficient service. Looked very well attended by locals and visitors alike. A bit plain from the street, it didn't look like it was "open" but pleased it was.

I ordered the salmon. Probably a mistake. It was a small piece with skin on, undercooked, only warm, and topped with a cold avocado salsa which didn't help. The plate was cold and so by the time I got to the veggies that the salmon was piled on top of, they were cold. Didn't bother to take a photo, it was all about presentation. Over $40 for a mediocre meal and a piccolo of Prosecco. Should have gone the Karage chicken, there's not much you can do wrong with JFC, but the salad to round out that meal would have made far too expensive! 'Bistro' is loud as people had to come.pete with music and 2 TVs.

I ordered the Asian salad with quiona and chicken, the chicken was soo dried that I couldn't chew or swallow.
And the salad looked not fresh!!

I made a booking there for 19 adults 5 kids and needed 2 high chairs but the only time we could get was 7.30pm, the parents decided it was too late so changed the booking to 13 and then two more people wanted to come so changed the booking to 15. We get there and even though my name was on the paper on the table with 15 guest written on it the table was set for 13, I went to speak to someone and they made us squish the tables together so that the extra people could sit where the tables met instead of adding an extra table with two chairs. So incompetent, the good was mediocre to say the least, steak was tough, the squid was cold. So not be going there again.

Here on a work trip for Adelaide Very happy with my meal got a very big portion of flathead with mash unfortunately I couldn't finish it off but ate a good amount just couldn't fit any more in will likely comeback

Great pub.
Good food and cold beer.
Staff polite and quick service.
Massive screen in the tab area if that's your thing.
Gets quite busy so best to get your food order in so not waiting too long.

Great food but there was a huge screen showing the footy and all the cheering and shouting didn't exactly make for a relaxing meal. Should have made a later booking as it was much better after the game was over.

Friendly staff.
Food was average and quite tasteless.

Food was a good pub meal, served hot & tasty by efficient staff, on the higher price side as are the drinks, especially non-alcohol.
Good atmosphere huge screens in sports bar.

Cannot recommend this place. The pub with no beer, or at least not the beer I ordered. They said they had Stone and Wood but actually they didn’t - and nothing similar, not even in a bottle or can. The meals were soggy and tasteless. Wedges were moosh. I left more than half my order of Texan Chicken, despite the fact I was hungry. The pork belly was also soft. The “Garden Salad” was 90% cheap lettuce. The place was dark and noisy and we were surrounded by big TVs showing gambling events from far and wide. The only (slightly) mitigating factor was that the staff were friendly and the service quick.

Brilliant steak with a mushroom sauce to die for. Comfortable hearty yet modern atmosphere with very friendly staff. Just look at how perfectly my steak is cooked. I’ll be back.
