Worst steak I've been served in years. Chips very ordinary. Left most of the meal behind (after eating the salad which came with a tasty dressing). There was a time when you could get a very good meal there but, it seems, not any more. Won't be going there for a meal again.

Very disappointed.
Waited close to 40 minutes for our lunch & when the meals did arrive they were both cold, obviously had been sitting in kitchen for a awhile. Strange that the chef did not help the front of house staff & deliver the meals as only the manager was on duty in the bar.
Then to be told "we are doing the best that we can" is not good enough.
Its all good & well to cut back staff, but not when it sacrifices service.
Have been a member for over 20 years, but won't be returning

This place is awsome. Great meals with generous servings at a really decent price. They don't try to ram the pokies down your throat. Pool tables and sports bar. Slightly run down but in a very comfortable sort of way which is the way I like it. Friendly and genuine staff and the patrons are salt of the earth good ol' Aussies. Regular events like trivia, sausage sizzle and Texas hold em. Had the best night here that I've had in ages

They lost a great CHEF, his food was wonderful. The employees are very nice the club still needs an update. Our returned service personnel deserve better

Tastey food 😋 steaks and chips and salad, would give a 9 out of 10

Staff are lovely and the environment is nice, however I experienced an elderly man named Trevor being extremely rude to me trying to say that I wasn't allowed to reserve a machine in the pokie room to quickly try out $4 in another machine quickly within the reserved amount of time and return to the machine that I had reserved. Following that conversation I enquired with the Staff member to be sure that there was no rule about using another machine quickly then going back to the other which she confirmed there is no such rule against it or against using 2 machines, the man then tried to make out he hadn't been rude at all by coming over to me and saying "you can't do that reserve 1 then use another" even though I was returning to that machine which I had nicely responded and also said that there's no such rule and I'm sure if there was a rule that someone would have said something to me a long time ago. Which he responded "would you like to prove it" making out that we both go ask the staff making out he was in the right.
Just because you're an elderly person doesn't give you the right to be horribly rude to someone then try to deny it.

Service is great here but not happy watching the chef dump the chips onto the plates with his bare hands. What happened to food hygiene?

Old place, new staff, was good.
I've only been here a few times and the place never looks like it changes. However since the change in management and accompanying new staff, the quality of food and service has nosedived where wait times were just too long and the food was okay at best. Sound and video systems are simply outdated and don't always work properly. The seats for dining don't offer much variety for special functions.

Nice place can get busy, respectable of the Anzac's and so I've experienced and participated in rising for a minute of selence at 6pm. Good service! Friendly staff and patrons. Definitely a potential home away from home especially for the Locals!

I only go for the food, can't comment on anything else.
The chicken schnitzel here has the best mushroom sauce I have ever tasted.
The food quality is consistently good and fresh. While the decor is dated, they are set to move to a new location soon.
Member prices are just $2 and gets you a discount. They do lunch deals and specials on different days.
Street parking out front, there's plenty of lots but it may be occupied depending on the day and time. I've never had a problem finding a park though.

I go here once a month for meetings and find it to be a typical small RSL Club whose main benefit is close to transport routes and shopping while also reasonably close to Brisbane CBD. The bistro area suffered from a leaking roof which damaged the parquet timber flooring. This was just left behind a makeshift barrier for over twelve months before being repaired recently. The food servings are generous sized and relatively inexpensive but the catering has changed hands several times in the last three years. Parking is good in the shopping centre car park across the road and the Club itself is wheelchair accessible including toilet facilities.

Honestly the worst meal I've had out in 5 months. The roast dinner tasted awful. The beef was so tough - you couldn't, for all your might, get a knife through it and fat all the way through it. The gravy tasted rotten too. Roast veg and potatoes were also horrid. Yes, its only 15 dollars for a lunch special, but I have been to many other places this year including other RSLs around the country for the same price and they were perfect, delicious and tender. No wonder this place is quiet, such a shame. The waiter didn't even come back to check if the meal was okay - probably too embarrassed to. Will not be back.
Also attended the trivia on the Thursday night with Ben the host. First of all he did not have a microphone so had to shout the whole time for us to be able to hear him. And secondly what the hell was he wearing?! Black smart shoes with socks over the top of the trousers, a tshirt hanging out from underneath a stained hoodie, topped off with a scarf!! Very unprofessional and scrubby looking. What happened to just jeans with a nice shirt? You're the host, you should look the most presentable person in the room, but it was the complete opposite. He smelt of smoke too.
Lastly the pokies stank of damp mould.

Fairly ordinary. Parking is problematic, unexciting menu and slow service. I get the impression that the culture is lacking something, possibly disinterested management as with many RSL clubs.

Decor left a bit to be desired but I do love the older-style bar. Modest pokies and TAB areas, didn't detract from the rest of the place. Live music on the Friday night when I went, cover musician playing a bunch of classic rock hits.
Staff were wonderful, friendly and prompt with service. Food was as you'd expect, nothing to write home about. The schnitzel was a bit overcooked but I'll give them another chance. Schnitzel, garlic bread, and pint of ginger beer all came to under $30 and the wait for food wasn't too long, but it wasn't very busy when I did go.
Expected to walk into one of those upper-class style RSL clubs with a strict dress code and all, but the atmosphere was very much like you'd find in a country pub - a great thing to find so close to the city.
Good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Menu is varied and has something for everyone.

Cheap beer $6 schooners decent variety. Our 5 meals where all brilliant for $12.50 each. Can’t go wrong great value for money.

A very nice Club but some what disapointed in regards to the lound talking and swearing some what of a let down and looking around the club it seemed to be the same with other guests it seem the trouble was from the membets at the top end of the bar.

At last the gentleman has discovered how to make great coffee. Thank you.
Also the menu for a mid week lunch is basic but when served to is fantastic and really good value

As mentioned in other reviews, the place is a bit dated and could do with some TLC. The food can be a bit "hit and miss" , I suspect because the kitchen staff keep changing. Some nights it's worthy of 5 stars, other nights: not so much.
What is consistent is the quality of service and the friendly atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and helpful - even when they're struggling under the load on a busy night. It would be fair to say that we come more for the staff and atmosphere than the food. All in all we would recommend giving them a visit - you may not be blown out of the water, but you won't be disappointed. 4 stars :)

A methedone bottle was found on the front seating, the bathrooms were disgusting, manager was heard running down the people who were holding an event in the function room. Not pleasant.

After spending around $500 there on pokies & know the manager says to me "sorry no more complimentary SODA WATER WITH RED CORDIAL for you we've already GIVEN YOU 4 of those drinks for free. Youd think he would save money from NOT running the AIR CON in the TAB area? The place is a dust factory with toilets from the 70's & the strange smell is probably from the 70's also. Get ya head outta the clouds, no one would want to come back a second time with your horrible management skills + personally of a wet blanket & obviously You DON'T want to run a business to make money
